"Paris, I am scared. How do I fight against her? How do I become the queen the kingdom deserves? I do not even have the confidence to fight off my enemies. I do not have the strength to overturn even my own destiny."
I looked at her beautiful radiant face and wondered how she could ever think she was alone in all this.
"Maru, I'm here right beside you. I will do whatever it takes to protect you," I held her tightly in my arms and wished she could trust me a bit more.
"What should I do? Tell me, please," she pleaded as I pulled her closer. I knew it was wrong for me to do so, but I couldn't stop but grab the chance I have been offered.
"Marry me, Maru," her eyes widened in shock at the preposterous notion of having to marry me, her best friend.
"Yes, for the good of the kingdom you must. Then I will help you eliminate her, I will be by your side Maru." I swallowed my pride and insisted.
"No, this can't be," she shook her head and pushed me away. "This can't be happening!"
