"Harry is your lord in there?" Zoa asked softly.
Harry didn't answer right away, his eyes instead looked at Zoa's appearance from head to toe which was covered. "Where are you going, Miss? You look too neat to just ask permission to go to the flower garden."
Zoe smiled widely. "I'm going home, Harry." The answer is happy by imagining funny.
Harry just nodded his head. "Master is inside, Miss."
"Okay.. can I come in? I just want to say thank you and see you, sir."
Harry smiled at the soft words of the beautiful girl in front of him. Without waiting any longer, Harry then opened the door and ushered his Miss into the Master's private room.
"Please come in, Miss."
Zoa nodded with a smile she flashed to Harry before he entered the room. Now his eyes could see the silhouette of a man sitting with his back to the window with a pen in his hand.
Zoa cleared her throat just to let the busy man know where she was. Hey, he was standing there for almost five minutes just waiting for Lucas to ask what he meant by his arrival. But the man was too focused on the paper and scribbled a pen on it.
"What is it?" Lucas asked, noticing a girl at his desk. His eyes stared at Zoa's neat appearance.
While Zoa, the girl bit her lower lip doubtfully. "Um… I have to go back. Thanks for helping me yesterday and.. thanks for everything." Zoa said softly as her hand gripped the bag strap that hung beautifully on her right shoulder.
Lucas nodded understanding what Zoa meant. She's a good girl who can't possibly want to be around them boys, can she?
"Are you sure? There are still many out there who are after your death besides Iko," Lucas said. No… not that he meant to prevent Zoa from leaving his life. It's just that he wasn't sure that the girl would be able to run away again from her stepfather's orders considering that Iko was no longer beside him.
"I know, but I can't stay here either. My house is my place to return to, so no matter what the risk is, I will still return to my home."
Lucas was silent. The girl was right but somehow she remembered something about Iko's request. He couldn't leave this girl alone again after he made a promise to her boyfriend. Ah.
"Okay.. there's no point in you staying here either," Lucas said indifferently. He deliberately kept himself busy again with the papers on his desk ignoring Zoa who was still in front of him.
Zoe smiled. Lucas was indeed a stone man, so it was only natural that nonchalant words came out of his mouth and seemed unconcerned. Moreover, he was just a newcomer in his life.
"Once again, thanks for helping me annoying Mr. Luc." He said again giggling amused by the title he threw at Lucas then turned to leave.
What? Annoying? Where did the girl find herself annoying when she only lived with Lucas for a few days they rarely saw each other. Then?
"Bad goodbye."Lucas chirps without taking his eyes off his papers. However, he could see the girl turned back to look at him with a questioning expression.
"Then what kind of farewell do you want, sir? I just want to go and leave nothing here, including the return of your favor for helping me."
Lucas tidied up his files then looked at Zoa. "I'm hungry. Make me something after that you can go." Lucas said then put down his pen and rubbed his eyes for a while to neutralize his slightly blurry vision because he had been reading several boring articles on the table for too long.
Zoa thought a little. "Okay. I think a bowl of soup is good for you. Ah. I also have to make soup for everyone here."
Lucas winced hearing for everyone. "Did I tell you to cook for everyone?"
Zoe nodded slowly. "No. but I'm going to part with them too. So I guess I should thank them and say goodbye to them too. Wouldn't that be better?"
Lucas didn't answer. He just stared at her blankly, not wanting to say anything else.
"Mr. Luc.." Zoa called, who didn't get an answer from Lucas even though the man was staring at him fully. "Okay if you don't allow it. I'll just-"
"Up to you," Lucas said then stood up from his swivel chair.
"You're going to keep standing there? I'm hungry." Said Lucas who realized Zoa was still standing and still staring at him.
Zoe smiled. "Okay.. wait a minute, Mr. Stone." He said then immediately left Lucas' room.
Mr. Stone? Wasn't that girl enough to give him the title of a bitch? And this... Mr. Stone? Seriously. But for some reason, his lips curled up slightly.
Lucas then took his phone. He had just opened the screen and all the news was talking about Robert Smith's disappearance. He smiled lopsidedly before opening one of the news there.
'Entrepreneur named Robert Smith again stirred up the country. The reason is that Mr. Businessman has just returned to show his nose in public after previously disappearing because his company went bankrupt. Now Robert is reported missing again after successfully building the company again. So .. what else made the entrepreneur disappear again? Here's the latest news before Robert disappears..'
"He dies." Lucas chirp commented on the news he had just read. He took a deep breath before putting his phone back on the table and walking out of his office.
"Where is that stupid man?" Lucas muttered not finding Harry at the door. He didn't care and stepped back down the stairs to reach the lower floor.
"Where's everyone?" he muttered again because he couldn't find anyone on the first floor. He glanced around, squinting slightly towards the dining room. I don't know why he walked that way.
"Delicious, Miss. You are very good at cooking."
It was Erik's voice.
Lucas stepped closer to the dining room. He cleared his throat after a few seconds just looking at those who were busy praising Zoa's cooking. Suddenly everyone turned to him.
"Sir."
Lucas stepped closer to them.
"You're already starving, even though I was just about to call you," Zoa said showing a smile looking at Lucas who was still standing.
Lucas didn't respond to Zoa's words. He immediately sat himself down on the chair. Seeing so many dishes on the table made him stare strangely at the food. Did he cook all this in such a short time?
"Let's eat," Zoa exclaimed happily and then sat herself down beside Lucas. But he turned his head back to everyone who was just silent and looked down.
Zoe took a deep breath. No wonder they became silent and did not dare to act like before because here was the Master.
"Hey, Mr. Stone. They need your permission."
"Sit down and eat." His orders to everyone, albeit in a cold tone. I don't know why he also complied with the girl's request. He just didn't want to see Zoa's disappointed look because of what he did to the waiter and his men.
"Come on. Your master has given permission. No need to hesitate." Said Zoa who noticed they were still motionless from her position.
"Eat or I'll fire you all." Lucas hissed coldly.
