Chapter 238 - Hecate's Identity

Arlesk had trained and gifted the former heroes with their old abilities. They were also given a position to act as commanders among the Order, the rest of the members agreed to it due to the experience in battle the former heroes, now Guardian Commanders have over the new members. But considering that they are still fairly new, the members were able to enjoy teaching the new commanders the equipment the order uses. The main weapons of Ulysses, Pantheon, and Claude were handmade by Draxus, it was quite over-tuned which made the commanders train much harder.

"The recreation and improvements on my weapon really showed how far ahead Draxus had become... And it also revealed how far I had fallen behind unlike our first duel..." "Well I've seen the records of the fight actually, and I don't even think I could win against him in my prime if we met him first..." The two heroes conversed regarding the capabilities of Draxus, but eventually shifted their conversation to their leader, Arlesk. "Arlesk however, I have seen him fight many times during the duels. Every duel he enters he gets even stronger. Challenging him for the first time back then I was able to learn something crucial." Ulysses brought up some details of his duel against Arlesk. Pantheon listened well as he wanted to know even more about the capabilities of the Archons. "Crucial?" He raised a question, prompting Ulysses to explain further. "Yes, Arlesk has the capability of deciphering the limits of his opponents easily. Which is why he can easily identify what kind of abilities the enemy will have or how much power they hold." The two of them continue to converse regarding the capabilities and their plans to get even stronger, with Claude joining them after a few moments.

In the meantime, Arlesk who has finished training the three former heroes and went towards the Hall of Guardians. There he quickly found Hecate who was all alone looking into the distance. "I presume you want to ask about me now?" Hecate smiled, anticipating something from Arlesk who has learned about the existence of Hecate being from the country Helvetum. Which means she had been hiding about her race for a long time. "Yeah, now that we know about Helvetum, I might as well ask you now. I can see that you want to see how things are in Preeliance first." "It seems you already understood my reasons anyway." Hecate smiled as she felt accepted at the very least. Arlesk didn't feel the least bit panicked, secrets is not something that he had to deal with. Hecate was wearing clothes with her back slightly exposed. From her back, layers of black wings spread out beautifully. "I will reintroduce myself, my name is Hecate, a great tengu. I'm actually one of the observers instructed to oversee the summoning incident." "So you're still on your day job?" "Not anymore." Hecate smiled, as she walked in front of Arlesk and leaned on him. "I'm already more than satisfied with staying with you." "Then who sent you initially?" "It was Sutoku Tenno, I'm one of the Prophetics, well I used to be." "Why did you leave?" "Let's say that this place is much better, besides... I don't think I would've found you if I decided to stay there." "I see, so you simply fell during your job." "You can say that, are you not okay with it...?" Hecate looked up, slightly concerned whether Arlesk would accept or not. "Nah, I don't really care much, you didn't really intend to hide it either. But there was simply no time to bring it up right?" The two continued to chatter up until noontime.

"So we're pretty much becoming the most diverse country due to the occurrences..." Arlesk brought out that topic in a tea party, with the archons and the emperor. "I'm pretty sure we can see that, our country has pretty much become tranquil due to the alliance. Along with the fact that some races managed to have someone higher up from them be betrothed to certain people here." Serkyrio smugly glanced over Arlesk and Draxus, the same goes for Remuel as he felt like the two have some certain diversity tastes. "I don't have anything to say about it." Draxus tried to shrug it off, being the biggest offender of it currently. "Well anyways, it's not really a bad thing. A bigger diversity that we can keep in order is a good community. Draxus may have basically betrothed two other races, it is only seen as a good thing to the other countries as they do not have to concern themselves with discrimination." The four of them continued further discussions as they brought up various other topics that they need to go through.

"Now that we spoke about the diversity, did you finally know who Hecate is Arlesk?" Serkyrio brought up Hecate to Arlesk as he needed to confirm Arlesk's feelings of it. "Yeah, well I would practically get shocked because we never really had a chance to talk about it until earlier. I only really remembered to ask her once I was given the report regarding the country of Helvetum, and I even went to Bovoyna before the report to me was given. So I don't really mind." "I see, then we can pretty much proceed to the next phase of the plan now. You all remember that Harold has pretty much prepared a massive room underground." "Yeah, I've seen that place, did he make that all himself?" Draxus showed curiosity and awe for the amount of effort Harold made. "Yep, and all of you, the battlefront along with your orders have to go there to train." "So it's a training hall after all. What kind of training hall did Harold even prepare?" Serkyrio felt a little smug, as the three archons never really know what Harold has been preparing. "You'll see, I'll go contact Harold now, this meeting is adjourned."

Arlesk, Draxus, and Remuel were feeling both curious and dread from the smug expression Serkyrio showed.
