Arlesk moved to talk to Serkyrio as he planned to make use of rest time to go for a quick trip. Having already appeased his fiancés by introducing them to his parents back in the other world, he had free time as the three of them return to help with his regular duties.
With free time in his hands, he finally made the decision to quickly meet Serkyrio in a meeting room to discuss about the plans he made.
"So you are actually going to try your luck in Bovoyna? Working on a holiday is pretty unusual even for you Arlesk." "Yeah, normally I wouldn't gave a crap about work while on a holiday, but the report is somewhat disturbing." "Let me give it a read... Who else knows this?" "Actually just Ulysses and Pantheon, I'm thinking of inviting Claude as well on the raid party." "That would be great actually, if you could help them develop their power even further, we won't have to worry about certain sections when a grand-scale invasion happens again." Serkyrio skimmed through the document and sighed. He felt somewhat troubled as he realized what was coming up. "Do you think a party of three heroes plus you is good enough for this?" "What does fate say?" From the mention of fate, Serkyrio's eyes showed a faint change of color. "You'll be alright but, there would be massive trouble waiting for you." "So I can't just mess around huh?" "Yeah, there's one more apostle after us. With the Council hovering at the skies, the Farlanders beyond the ocean, then the next enemy will come from underground." "An apostle huh...?" "The [Sentinel of Arcana], had fought one of the members of their side. She was actually losing in battle, but she managed to catch up after a bit." "How do you know this? She didn't even report how she was defeated." Arlesk became confused as he was there when she made the full report of a new threat. "Well, I can see her doubts over herself, the conviction, and her learnings when she went to that realm." "I see, but considering that she managed to equalize. Unknown can be countered by [Theory Magic] and [Divinity]." "Use your [Cyberdivinity] if deemed necessary. Survival is the most important part of the expedition, understand?" "Got it." "Good, now get your participants for this expedition and make preparations, don't waste your time here." After giving a small push, Arlesk left to quickly head for Quisterion by flying.
"So we're the expedition teams is really us bunch of heroes." Arlesk had already called over Claude and Pantheon to Quisterion beforehand. He wanted to get this expedition done as soon as possible, and thus he had them finish their preparations before telling Serkyrio about the expedition. "What would we have done if he didn't approve?" "That's the neat part, he'll approve of it regardless." "Well, I guess that's just how you guys function." Ulysses shrugged his shoulders, giving up on trying to understand Arlesk and the antics of the archons and the emperor. "But for us to go on an expedition together... We're definitely going to handle this well." Pantheon felt relieved as he can stay rest assured to the team he currently has. "There may only be four of us, but considering our power, we can likely handle this." "I'd rather hope that we won't be arrogant even if we are this powerful." "That's a possibility, so we have to remain on our guard at all times." Pantheon and Ulysses felt somewhat surprised as to why Arlesk would want them to remain on guard. They prompted about the possible enemies which led to Arlesk explaining about the third faction that none of them have encountered yet.
"So the third enemy is likely going to be underground?" Arlesk thought over it once more before giving his confirmation. "Yeah, the likelihood is too high for us to ignore it. And as far as we heard, [Sentinel of Arcana] had failed to eliminate an opponent that isn't their apostle." "Not their apostle? What's more, the [Sentinel of Arcana] is one of the vice-chiefs right? Then we might be in trouble." They then deepened their discussion for a while as they finished their preparations and their invitation to Claude.
Fast forward a few days, they arrived to the country of Bovoyna to discuss with their current representative of the country. They were met with a king who was somewhat dismayed. Heroes of his present enemies, and Arlesk, who had slain his hero alone were facing him in his reception hall. "Your Majesty of Bovoyna, we are present here today with one main purpose. Today, we wish for the war to end between Paladia and Bovoyna, I trust that you have had enough losses during that previous war correct?" Arlesk had to be slightly arrogant in his speech, since their alliance was victorious on the previous war, they have to press their advantage. The king responds with a nod, and briefly asks for their purpose. "Our purpose is about the true enemy. We kindly invite you to the [Tranquil Harmony], joining this organization shall allow at least your citizens to never suffer with the post-war effects any further. But more importantly, we would be able to reach you, when the Council Knights and the Farland Devils attack." "You mean?!" The King leaned forward a bit as he realized that they could manage to handle that situation without any problems. He cleared his throat for a second before asking any details. "Kindly explain further." "Then, I heard reports that the knights that attacked only numbered a hundred on your side, yet you suffered catastrophic casualties. We have enough understanding as to why that happened, they were homunculi that were mass produced in Santuria before we had resolved that issue. Each one of them has been known to be at the equivalent of at least half of a hero's power." "Half of a hero's power? This is the first time I've heard of this Arlesk..." Ulysses probed in as he didn't quite believe in his speech. "Harold just finished his examinations on them. The red ones are at least twice as strong as you are, but the kicker is that they're puppets." "True, which is why we can handle our own against them." Arlesk quickly ended the chatter and once again offered to the king of Bovoyna.
Due to the benefits Arlesk had provided the king had accepted their invitation, ignoring the nobles around them.
