"Since I'm in Oni territory, I should visit the leading group of this." Jevil quickly pumped himself up for a quick investigation, with already one day spent, he has about thirteen days to catch the attention of all five governmental groups in the country. He started his travelling, seeing as he no longer needs to talk to any locals, he sped up his travel towards the capital of the Onis. With his scythe as his main weapon and everything else he needs in [Interdimensional Storage] he weaved through the roads to quickly arrive to the next town to ask for information.
With another whole day spent on travel, Jevil finally arrived to the city capital of Onis. To his surprise, it was actually just a giant mountain, but after tailing Oni carriages, he then realized that he simply missed the entrance. He went towards the entrance of the cave, and was met with suspicion on some guards. "Hey, that scythe of yours, just what kind of business do you have?" "Sorry, but I'm just on a swift vacation, paid vacation to be exact with a bit of a business talk." "And you expect us to believe that?" "I'm on the clock so I'll be quick. I am [Sentinel of Aggravation], vice chief of [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels], is that enough?" "Ah, yes it's good now... Wait... You're the [Sentinel of Aggravation]?! You look quite different than the illustrations from our messengers." "Ho? So the Chief Oni knew me already?" "Yes, we've heard that you're pretty much unstoppable when you attack during your duels. Though you are eclipsed by the Archon, there are still Oni that actually want to try your strength." In Jevil's mind, he hoped that the governmental leader of the Oni group isn't a muscle-brained idiot. "So if I'd like to meet the chief, where do I go?" "You'd like to meet the chief huh...? Somebody, get a messenger to the chief, a vice-chief of the Sentinels have visited us!" After one Oni immediately went to report to the chief, Jevil was allowed to enter the cavern and allowed his eyes to feast in a beautiful underground city.
He explored for a while and bought some snacks around the area. He was basically like a young man enjoying a festival on his own spending a great amount of his money. "I have to say, this place is pretty amazing." While chewing on a skewer, he started to think how great it would be if he had a personal base to mess around with. "Well, I'll think about it eventually." He continued to wander around until a group of Oni in a guard uniform came to escort to the palace.
Despite being underground, the palace where the Chief Oni reside actually was similar to the Preeliance castle in size. It made him question whether Oni really needed that much space, or just something he isn't used to seeing.
He was given a quick tour of the palace, showing the necessary parts of the palace like the dining halls, or guest rooms. When he arrived to the reception room, he then took notice of a tall Oni.
Reaching about 2.5 meters in height, grandiose clothing with a mix of simplicity. He stood proud and somewhat joyed after seeing Jevil. "Greetings, [Sentinel of Aggravation], we welcome you to Helvetum, the Oni division. I am Shuten Doji, the chief of the Oni race." "Good day, Shuten Doji, I am Jevil Kane, vice chief of the [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels]. I'm currently having a vacation to learn about the culture, but I'd also like to learn about the governmental body of this wonderful country." Shuten Doji nodded as he shook the hand Jevil offered. "The Governmental Body of Helvetum... I see... I want you to tell me the details about this goal of yours as we just recently recovered from a crisis." "That's about the knights and the demonic monsters right?" "Y-You also know about that?" "Of course, I participated in the clearing group on that. It was compulsory since I am a Sentinel of Preeliance but still, I have come to talk about that and the future."
Jevil would always size his conversation partners, whether they are worthy of respect or not. When shaking the hand of Shuten Doji, he understood the underlying great strength and the lack of arrogance in it, earning his respect. The group then moved to a private room so that they can talk about it more in detail.
"Before anything else starts, I'd like to hear what you thought about those metallic knights that have invaded this country. For it to happen in world scale must've been a massive battleground." "About that, from the records that an archon wrote, it was completely world scale. Two different, but allied factions invaded the entirety of this continent, just for a single goal. I cannot find what the goal is, but what I do know it has something to do with the emperor and the archons." "Emperor and the Archons?" "Yes, the knights and the devils summoning the monster armies aren't the main problem, but the figures that are behind them. I myself have killed off more than a thousand knights myself." "More than a thousand? Just twenty of them have already been proven difficult for me..." "It's because these knights are no more than just plain old puppets." "Puppets you say, but while we did manage to get no casualties on our side, we still sustained heavy damage." "Which is why I'm showing up here. Soon enough, the emperor and archons will take action and show up in this country to form an alliance. With our goal as world unity to fight against the enemy that invades us from basically anywhere, we intend to form an alliance with each country, or remove them as a threat." "What would happen if our country is to be considered as a threat?" "I won't go into details as to how, but what will happen is that this country will be wiped off the map, and the history books." With Jevil's expression telling them that it's mainly a bad idea to become a threat to him, Shuten Doji closed his eyes and started thinking what exactly would happen if this were to devolve into a battleground. "I'll believe you on this, but I would like to identify where this strength and capabilities of yours lie on. Our strength lies in our hearts, but where does yours come from?" "So you're asking for a duel?" "Shuten Doji... I think this may be a bad idea if we are to test the capabilities of an unknown person. He's one of the fabled Sentinels so..." The younger oni beside Shuten Doji started to think about what may happen, but there was a bit of an excitement brimming in him as he glanced over to Jevil. "Ibaraki, this is the part where we have to choose our allies. Our guest is telling us to understand how they would get rid of their enemies. If we are to become allies, then our enemies would also become their enemies. What do you think Sir Jevil...? Care for a test?" Jevil smiled as it somewhat devolved into a talk between skills at that point. "Two versus one, yourself and sir Ibaraki versus myself. I won't have it any other way." "You're confident, but that makes it all the more exciting."
Later on the day, an arena was prepared for them. Shuten Doji and Ibaraki Doji actually invited him for a quick drink before the arena was prepared. Thus he was able to meet other members of the family. When he met the youngest daughter, he wore his glasses for a brief moment and took it off. "Not the heart it seems..." The glasses given to him, was a tool made by Serkyrio himself.
Back to when Serkyrio summoned Jevil, he handed a pair of glasses. "This glasses is a tool to identify which one is the heart that we are searching. It's imbued with a heavy amount of divine arts so it's indestructible for the most part. What I want you to do, is to find that person with a line connecting, and take a picture of that person's appearance." After explaining, he then brought out a piece of paper and five platinum coins. "This is a favor paper that I had signed personally, unlike the ones in the archons, you can only ask for information on my side. When you finish the mission, you get a chance to learn some information, and immediately money. Basically, you'll be richer than the other vice-chiefs."
And finally, it was now later. Shuten Doji and Ibaraki Douji stretched on the other side of the arena, while Jevil prepared his scythe for combat. This wasn't a grand duel to decide things, but was merely a test of strength whether how much could one side do.
