"I believe their names are Lily and Julie Bequain, we don't know anything about their background, but they're engaged with our Archon Draxus Heimdal Kingfisher." Layla spoke about what she knew while glancing at Keith. He didn't look like he was stopping her from speaking, but before she could continue, the king was starting to let out a bit of an agonized tone. "Lily and Julie huh... It does sound like Liliana and Juliana... For them to run away from their position as royal princesses..." "This may be presumptuous but what did you initially intend for your daughters to do?" Keith thought about something as Draxus had never mentioned clearly the identities of Lily and Julie. Judging as to how Keith recommended both Aquila and Temockria for Keith and Wesley to go around on, it was considerable that Draxus has some lead. However, it was not in Keith's position to think about the actions and information of their archon. He respects that Draxus keeps his secrets both in position and in a more personal note.
"I initially intended for them to be married to the king of Temockria. The country that has deep connections with us." "What kind of country are they?" Keith didn't hesitate to think about what to ask next and immediately went to proceed. "They're a country that functions mostly on slavery. The connection of our country is similar as to when they have prodigies, they send it to us as their scholars, and if we have incompetent people, we send them to their country as slaves." The king continued to talk about how their countries developed greatly by keeping this kind of relationship.
"What a shitty system..." Both Keith and Layla thought, careful enough to not let it slip off their tongue. "Our daughters are prodigious in their fire magic, and I had hoped that they would help us further propagate the countries by making a solid connection where blood matters. Their hero has the ability to control anything, he can control minds, to your body to do whatever he wants you to do. But to think that you would manage to stop him..." Keith closed his eyes and reanalyzed what had happened last night. "It's because he turned his back on me and focused on the escape first. He seemed excited when he was holding Layla by the neck while thinking of something those with a habit of stealing people's wives. "The next time I see that guy, I'm chopping his head off." Keith released major pressure within the room, the king and the guards felt the terror that Keith brought out. They didn't want to incur the wrath of Preeliance who had people that far surpasses heroes in terms of power. If they were to take the wrath of such person, their country would be in shambles within minutes.
"Anyways, in theory, if Lily and Julie Bequain were to be known as Princess Liliana and Princess Juliana Aquila... What would you do?" The king pondered on Keith's question and quickly decided on the answer. "I wish for them to return to this castle, and to continue their duty as princesses of Aquila." Keith narrowed his eyes as he understood what the king meant. He wanted to bring back Lily and Julie to his country only to be married off to a king that operates on slavery. Judging by the look of their hero, he theorized that the king may look like some ugly bastard. "Alright then, for the time being, we will settle down in your castle as state guests. I prefer to not be involved with you in politics, but I want to tell you that I don't want to see the faces of those two heroes around." With Keith's decision, the two of them stayed in Aquila exploring various places and taking various requests on the adventurer's guild.
Fast forward into their last day, Keith and Layla left the castle with a bit of an iffy feeling. They knew that they were about to be attacked for some reason and had decided to contact Draxus for retrieval. "Drax, I have collected enough info about Aquila, and they're currently attempting something shady against us. Their king is a decent person, save from being dumb. However, their hero is a problem child, so we need extraction just in case." Draxus cut off the call after giving them a quick ETA, all they now have to do is temporarily hide.
"Five minutes huh...?" The two of them are already outside the city, any attacks towards them will be something that they have to deal by themselves. The two of them were feeling a little calmer as they already knew that Draxus will be arriving.
However, just as the countdown reached three minutes, Layla felt a major premonition in her mind and quickly summoned an eagle while raising her arm up. She held Keith and immediately latched on to the leg of the eagle with her right hand. "Tch, and here I thought I would be able to catch you off-guard." The hero of Aquila appeared once again after his surprise attack with various elements landed on the place they were standing earlier. "Bastard, attempting to harm him huh? Seems like you managed to get him to stop for a bit using that damned [Control], but that control ends by now." Keith finally managed to get a grip after he was forced to not move. The reason why he wasn't able to move an inch was because of the hero of Temockria stopping him from making any movement. "You sure can do whatever you wish when the will of the person is weak, but Keith is a strong man unlike you weaklings." A long, eastern-styled dragon wrapped around the two of them and acted as cover. "Thanks for that, but to willingly attempt such a massive incident against us at the very last minute. It seems that both of you should be killed before any shit show happens in your country." Keith brought out [Death Trap] and activated what he deemed necessary for the situation.
