"I can't be sure as to why you could be capable of handling the request boy." Keith was called into the guild master's room to discuss that what he's done is quite impossible. "There's much tougher enemies than these things you know? Even I can take on those." Keith is currently having a major discussion with the Guildmaster to the point that nobody would even think that a young man in silver rank is fighting against two gold rank monsters that have mutated. "Even if you say that, this is the proof by itself." Keith simply just presented the tails of the monsters that he had killed off just now, thinking that he had pretty much done nothing bad. "How about this?" Keith listened in to the guild master's proposal to have a mock battle with their most capable adventurer. Keith decided to accept as there doesn't seem to be any other options as the guild seemed pleased with him getting a beatdown. "They surely don't know my identity..." Keith decided to not speak and kept the words in his mind when he thought about his identity.
"Rules are simple, use whatever you have to win, but attacks must be stopped just before a lethal hit, or when the opponent cannot continue the battle. The duel continues even when the opponent is disarmed so be careful." So a point-end duel? Is what Keith thought of, but considering his opponent who seemed a little older and has a weapon that seems like an artifact, Keith felt like he needed to play this duel a little more seriously, but before he does, he needed to test something. Keith switched the chain ball of [Death Trap] into a grapple hook for more utility. "You seem unfazed Keith, your opponent is a Gold ranker you know? And a prodigy at that. They nearly rival heroes of the countries and can stand to fight against an army of monsters." Keith sighed on the guild master's taunting and simply began making test swings on his weapon. "Keith! I swear if you actually lose this you're gonna get laughed at by the others." Apparently, Layla was around when the commotion arose into a mock battle. Considering that Keith had done what was normally impossible to adventurers, she gave him a big warning that she'll tell the other Sentinels. "I know that, and pretty sure this battle will last only two seconds to be completely honest." After giving a little taunt, the gold ranked adventurer seemed a little pissed after being told that he's going to be a joke. "Ready? Fight!" And right at the very second the battle began, it had already ended.
"W-Wha...?" The gold ranked adventurer was confused. Keith threw the hook towards him and instantly turned into him being completely restrained by Keith's weapon wrapping him around and the sickle pointing right into his neck. "I-Impossible, you must've used some kind of trick beforeha-" "I am Executor Keith Nagual, [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels] Vice-chief, the [Sentinel of Spirits]. I harbored the ability of my [Spirit of Time] and never gave you a chance to fight back. And here I thought I would have a match, but unfortunately, basic adventurers are piss off weak." Keith had enough on people trying to doubt his ability, and thus he just opened up identity. "I'm supposed to be going on a vacation after nearly dying to my possessed master. But it seems like I can't go around anonymously without getting fucked around at by idiots. So what if this gold ranked adventurer is a prodigy? It should be enough proof right?" The guild master after understanding Keith's identity, quickly went to process the completion of the request and ranked him up to gold. "For the apology, we want to compensate for having troubled you when you came to turn in the request, is there anything you wish for?" Keith pondered for a bit after everything has settled down, and after thinking about what to do, he simply asked for some information about the country. "I need to know more about the culture of Aquila, there seems to be a big emphasis on prodigies here so I was curious to see what kind of country this is like." And thus, Keith returned with the guild master to discuss various things. Layla followed them into the room.
"Alright!" A few days later and it was time for them to move to the capital, Keith and Layla had already finished their preparations to move out and have said their goodbyes. The two of them used the fast-travel equipment that was made for the Sentinels in case they needed to make a quick response action. They both activated the boots and slid through the rough ground.
"It's impressive that our leader can make something like this. Sliding on the grass like we're on a skating rink feels great." Layla expressed her thoughts on sliding around while holding Keith's hand for balance. "Still not used to it that much?" "Yeah, there's not really a lot of chances for us to use this so I'm having a little trouble to balance." Keith simply smiled it off and kept a good hold on her. The two of them arrived to the capital of Aquila where they were greeted by another guard asking for identification.
"Gold rank...? Oh, you must be Executor Keith?" The guard asking them for identification realized Keith due to his young age. "So you know me huh...?" "Of course, what's your purpose on this country? Since there are also Sentinels that have come here for vacation it seems." "Oh? So they're already here, I'm also in vacation with my fiancé. We're but unlike them, we wish to learn more about culture of other countries for the eventual World Peace." "I see, then allow us to formally welcome you to our country, Aquila." Keith thanked the guard and the two of them entered in the capital.
It was already dusk when the two of them had entered the capital city, considering the size and the castle at one part of the city, they had to book a stay in a luxurious inn for the time being.
