Draxus had brought all his fiancés after they had heard from Wendy that there was a cosplay convention happening. Curious to see what it's like in a convention, Olivia and the others immediately spoke to Draxus about it.
And now Draxus has to take care of his fiancés moving around with him. Wendy had decided to cosplay something while Draxus simply went with his usual formal attire. This led to many people realizing that Draxus Heimdal, one of the four mysterious men that were wandering around conventions, had returned. However, they completely stood out, despite wearing semi-formal travel clothing, the girls had stood out because of their beauty. Wendy cross-dressed, but it was easy to tell that she was also a girl. Because of this, there were people that were curious about them.
Draxus on the other hand is already exhausted in the mind, considering that the stares divided into curiosity and jealousy, he has to ensure that they do not get separated.
They browsed each stall, checking their wares and thinking of buying souvenirs for their families. Wendy wasn't really thinking about buying much, so she decided to watch over them with Draxus. "Have you thought about it?" "Hmm?" Draxus felt slightly curious about what Wendy was talking about, after a second, he realized that she's talking about conventions in the other world. "As much as it sounds great for cosplay, we can't make something if there's no virtual stuff in here like anime. So we're gonna be starting with a modeling and market convention as starters. Eventually, we'll start developing idols and such." "Idol industry huh? Who are you gonna start with?" Wendy was curious as to why Draxus would consider something like Idol Industry. Noticing that, she tried a bit of process of elimination. "There's no need to ponder who, I had talked about this with Gwen recently." Wendy then glanced over to see that Draxus's expression. "She did tell me that she wishes to sing more for the people." After she realized what he had been doing, Wendy simply sighed as she asked another question. "And who will manage her as an idol?" "Of course, it would be me." Wendy facepalmed as she realized that Draxus would be piling up more work into his schedule. "Drax, you're overworking already, one of the reasons why we want you to go on a vacation on this world is so that we can give you some time off the office." Draxus remembered the reason why these girls selected the other world. At that point he simply scratched his head. "Sorry..." "While it's never wrong to be hardworking, it's unhealthy for you to even skip sleep and continue to do your paperwork. Work-life balance exists, and you should be following that standard." Wendy start scolding Draxus for focusing too much on his work. However, the real reason was because he was pretty much neglecting everyone while he's currently in work mode. He does spend time with each one of them everyday, but it was still considerably short due to the amount of paperwork he tends to deal with.
However, the scolding actually caused them to stand out a bit more, when the other fiancés heard that Wendy was scolding Draxus, he ended up getting into a situation where it could be embarrassing. He quickly dissolved the lecture temporarily and to which they continued exploring the convention. The group had bought various merch such as shirts, necklaces, cards, or even keychains. It was then Draxus had noticed a small plush that he recognized. "These are... Fumos right?" Draxus held up a plush doll in his hand and stared at it for a few seconds. His fiancés were admiring them due to the cute look of the plushies. Draxus was also caught in their admiration which made him decide. "How much for one?" Draxus immediately asked the shopkeeper for the price. "A hundred for one of them." Draxus's eye twitched grandly due to the unreasonable sounding price, but before he made a complaint, he checked whether there is a tag. "There's a tag... Do they come with a badge?" Draxus made a quick question to which the store owner to which the store owner brought out a small box and opened it. It was filled to the brim with badges of the plushies to which he felt somewhat of a kinship to Draxus. "Not many people play the games of these waifus, are you interested because of the plushies only, you seem to be a connoisseur." "What are you talking about? I know these characters but I haven't played much, too busy. Anyways, I'll take your entire stock." "There are about fifty of them here, you can't easily buy them all! Each of them are a hundred bucks." "Ten grand, that should cover your taxes as well right?" The storeowner became speechless after Draxus proposed ten grand for the purchase of his entire stock. "Seems like you're no ordinary man mysterious wanderer." The store owner smiled after Draxus brought out a briefcase from [Interdimensional Storage]. "Glad doing business with you, genuine articles of these normally cost about forty to eighty dollars, but I'll take your price since I don't have that much issue with money." Draxus shook the hand of the store owner before they parted ways. "Call me Merchant, friend." "Call me Kingfisher, friend Merchant." Draxus stored the plushies into the [Interdimensional Storage] and turned towards his fiancés. I'll bring them up again later, if you fancy one, feel free to keep it to yourself." After he told his intend to them, the girls thanked him and all came to give a hug, but considering his location, Draxus immediately felt a massive pressure of jealousy. His hearing is somewhat great due to resonance, and thus he heard the whispers of the healthy young men. "Damn bastard! Hogging those beauties all to himself!" Draxus simply resigned himself to fate and understood that his trip will be filled with youngsters being massively jealous. They weren't able to take notice that they're all engaged however.
