Chapter 163 - Earth Field Trip: Home Exploration Second Half

Matilda and Lily stayed together as the two of them were surprised by other things that they found in the mansion they're currently staying at.

"A training ground? There's even wooden swords here for training." Matilda lifted one of the wooden swords that were placed on some scabbard. "The next room has various equipment on display." Lily called Matilda and urged her to come. After Matilda followed Lily into a different room, she was somewhat flabbergasted by the designs of weapons that were displayed. She tried to reach out but was stopped by Lily since she noticed something. "I don't think we should touch it, there's a sign here with Emperor Serkyrio's signature." After realizing that the items shouldn't be touched, Matilda held back on reaching out to the well designed broadsword which had similar color to the broadsword she owned. She went back and read the sign and didn't understand anything. "This weapon was forged out of Uranium and is highly radioactive..." Instead of understanding what the weapon could do to harm her, she was slightly confused to the terms. Lily was the same, as she didn't understand what could the effects be and assumed that it was similar to a curse. But before they knew it, they heard a voice behind them. "Uranium is a harmful substance to the skin of a human. Even I required protective gear when forging this thing." Draxus encased one of his arms in ice before brushing through the broadsword. "For the time being, they are only items that are in display. I have plans to create your weapons soon, Lily, Matilda. I hope both of you can wait it out for a bit. I want to ensure that both of your weapons can handle the higher stages of [Kingfisher Bladework Fantasia]. Because Matilda's sword will break upon usage of a [Masterclass], and Lily's weapon can't handle any [Secret Art]." The two were slightly surprised after hearing Draxus's voice. Instinctively asking him when he arrived in the room. "I arrived just now, these weapons are simply meant for display purposes. even if they do look attractive, all of them are harmful when carried around. Since they're made with harmful materials, I can make a replication with the same battle effect, and a sharper blade without any harmful substances back in the forge." Draxus brought out a replica of Matilda's weapon from the [Interdimensional Storage], surprising her after seeing her weapon in Earth. "This is only a mirror replica, it has merely the same ability and effect your sword has, but it's less durable due to being a mirror replica only." After continuing his explanations about equipment and weaponry, Draxus decided to ask the two for their reason to split up with the others. "Ah, it's so that we can explore more things about the house. Olivia seemed to be interested in the technology that could be seen here. We as well were quite surprised on how well maintained a home is without even having another person staying here." Draxus pondered for a bit before giving the reason as to why the place looked clean. "We hire cleaning groups every month, or prior to when we have visitors here. I'm not exactly the one handling this kind of thing but other members in the Preeliance do. Aside from that, cleaning bots are scattered on each room for them to clean the floor all alone." Draxus continued on while urging them to join him in exploring the place even further. "Any questions you'd like to ask as well?" Lily thought about some things as she recalled the training ground. "How do all the technology work in this world? I can't seem to recall much but you guys used similar technology back in the Preeliance castle right?" Draxus nodded and made a full on explanation on how technology works in Earth. The two of them didn't understand much, but they were able to understand that people are capable of harnessing energy even without the use of magic. "I see now... People on Earth have it quite complicated..." Draxus then quickly made a comment as he remembered his mission in Earth.

"I had a mission here before, to eliminate various clones before they could become a threat to this world. All those clones of ours have the exact same abilities, so fighting a clone of myself was really troublesome. Serkyrio's clone gave me the most trouble, but without the experience written on Serkyrio's mind, it wasn't that bad." Draxus had brought them to the kitchen and dining hall. "This is quite extravagant..." Matilda had lost her words after witnessing the dining hall of his home for the first time. "Isn't this place better than the [Sentinel Hall] by itself?" Draxus, who was also seeing it for the first time had twitching eyes as he felt like a huge amount of money was poured into this. "I wonder how much money was spent for this entire place... I swear I'll check on it after this trip." Draxus looked somewhat pissed after seeing how great the home looked. "By the way, where are the others?" Draxus turned his gaze over to the two and asked about the others. "Julie went to the Library with Gwen, Olivia and Wendy may have come to check on them by now." Draxus's eye twitched even harder. He then rushed to the library with the two of them following him, asking him for the reason why he doesn't really want them in the library for far too long.

Draxus found the rest of the group in the [World Information Section] of the library. He breathed a sigh of relief as the only things that were brought out were his magic theory books. "Ya, am I interrupting something?" Draxus called out to the four other girls who were thinking of searching for them. "Drax, perfect timing! Can I bring this book back to the Preeliance castle? I want to study more about this." Julie's studying about magic to help her in melee combat is one thing, but... "Drax can I bring some of these books back to the Preeliance castle?" Gwen clung to Draxus while asking to bring more novels into the Preeliance castle. At that point, Draxus was already accepting their demands without any particular complaint. At the very least, he took solace that he never bought any novels that men would mostly call [Rotten]. "Before we plan on what to bring home, we should have our lunch outside. So let's prepare for the day." Draxus managed to escape answering their requests and decided to think about it later on.
