Chapter 159 - Pre-Vacation Event

The next day, "Hey Drax." Keith entered Draxus's office to search for him. However, he was currently not around. He found Gwen reading a book that Draxus had brought back from Earth to lessen the boredom of his fiancés while he was away. "Oh, Keith? Was it? Drax went down to the training grounds after he finished his paperwork. He's likely training Matilda, Lily, and Julie right now." Keith felt slightly troubled as he thanked Gwen for the information.

"Drax, you avail right now?" Keith finally found Draxus in the training grounds as he appeared right in front of him using time stop. "Oh? Keith, did something happen?" Keith nodded and quickly explained what he intended to do. "I wanted to test Josh's capabilities of his [World End] abilities. It will be bad if he's going to be capable of dealing with you in the later run." Upon hearing Josh's name, the girls around didn't exactly feel nice after what he had said about Draxus. "So you're gonna put him in his place? I'm definitely watching." With a sinister smile in his face, he had Keith summon Audrey with the exact reason to watch the battle. Both Draxus and Audrey were in high spirits.

"Huh? Where did Drax go?" Olivia was slightly confused as to why Draxus suddenly disappeared from the training ground after she brought the completed documents to Jess. Wendy was the one who remained in place to tell Olivia what was happening. "Keith said he planned to beat Josh up under the pretense of testing abilities or a duel. Draxus seemed to be in high spirits after hearing Keith's words though." Realizing what was about to happen, Olivia simply walked back to the office to pick up Gwen. Wendy followed her while asking what she's planning. "We should pick up Gwen, it would be best if everyone is around Draxus since none of us might want to miss a moment that he enjoys." Wendy felt slightly jealous due to how much Olivia knows on handling Draxus. But seeing as she's somewhat the same, she simply smiled as the two of them went to pick up Gwen who is currently reading in Draxus's office.

Down in the entertainment district, there were various people sitting down watching the unfolding battle. It wasn't filled to the brim as it wasn't a battle between Archons, but it was still considerably filled with people who are interested. Draxus sat in the control room with his fiancés. Audrey was sitting nearby the control room to keep an eye on Gayle who is joined by Pauleen, Juniper, and their friends. And as expected, they are in high spirits.

"We're playing with under [Standard Duel Rules], and [Kingfisher's Arena]. I'm sure both sides have already heard of what kind of battleground you two will have to deal." Wesley served as the referee for the battle and urged the two to speak while they have the chance.

"This is a surprise Keith, asking to duel me in a straight up battle? I would definitely expect somebody like Draxus but, are you really sure about this?" Josh started a slight trash talk towards Keith. "I know you easily beat me in certain games but battles are a different story." After listening some more, Keith then made it clear towards him. "I'm pretty sure I told you that I was just going to test your abilities. But let's make it clear that there's no shot that I am inferior to you. To compare, maybe a recruit from our [Order] can defeat you." Keith smiled as he didn't even think of bringing out his kusarigama. Instead, he brought out a small pistol that was somewhat similar to what was equipped by a certain character in a certain game. "[Headhunter huh]? So you're thinking of going easy even." Josh brought out his weapon which looked more of a broadsword and formed a ready to charge in stance. "Both sides ready!" Wesley announced to the arena as he then began his countdown. When it hit zero, Josh immediately activated one of his spells. "[Timeflow Ender]!" The flow of time completely halted which meant that any abilities relying of time became completely useless. Keith however doesn't let that stop him. "[Come, everybody]." With his expertise of collecting spirits, he was able to bring up his complete power. "Time stop is only one part of me, dumbass." Josh, realizing what kind of ability Keith holds now fires multiple bullets from his handgun. Each were deflected and blocked by Josh's broadsword but another attack had already came up as a threat. "[Restrict]!" Spirits of various colors restricted Josh from making him move, allowing Keith to begin an activation of divine punishment. "[Strike Down]" Lightning strikes around Josh's position, electrifying his body to the point where he needs to recover already. After kneeling down, Keith didn't even let him a small time of relief after he ended the lightning strikes and fired his handgun. Josh immediately saw a sight, with a bullet piercing through his head causing blood to gush out. He immediately thought that he was going to die, but before he knew it, everything was healed up. "[Spirit Bullet], [Death Perception]." Keith smiled as he stared down at Josh who thought was question what had happened. "Again, I never said that I was ever inferior to the likes of you." Josh finally felt pissed as Keith continued to look down on him. "[Dream Ender]!" Josh raised his hand and immediately dispelled all the spirits that have materialized for Keith, and rushed to his position for attack. With Keith handling a ranged weapon, it may look somewhat tricky for him to handle as he has to dodge while firing at point-blank range is impossible due to Josh stopping him from making counterattacks. But it was enough for him as Keith immediately realized that Josh's abilities are limited to being cast one at a time and cannot use another while one is active. With that full analysis, he stopped time without any effort.

And the very second time continued, Josh was surrounding by a a hundred knives from all directions. Considering that there is time lag to cancel one of his abilities and cast another, he finally understood that he was going to lose. The last thing he saw was Keith standing with his back facing him, his right hand was visible as he snapped his fingers. Josh immediately lost consciousness after Keith snapped his fingers. "Phew... I thought cutting his consciousness through inner spirit wasn't gonna work. Cause if it didn't, the knife fear wouldn't work." In actuality, the knives were frozen in place due to Draxus's arena effect. The temperature dropped low enough to freeze objects in place regardless of their location. Josh felt the freezing fear from being surrounded with knives mercilessly and due to that fear, Keith took the chance to reap his consciousness immediately with [Spirit Magic]. "Test Complete, my verdict. You're useless against us Josh." Regardless of Keith's victory, there were sides that aren't too happy with the results.
