Arlesk was planning out his moves as he watched over the group he was assigned with. "Hey man, don't you feel a bit nervous when we're finally getting sent to fight a war?" Arlesk turned his gaze to the voice behind him and found a few members of the [Guardians] feeling a little nervous. He couldn't do anything to simply smile it off as he checked the positions of where the enemy will come from. Since the enemy attacks aren't particularly synced up well, they were able to quickly clean up one country before going to the other. However, instead of further pushing his strategies in case of a council member attacks, he went towards the nervous [Guardians] who managed to get through a major battle. "I know it's the first time you guys entered a battlefield at this scale, but you need to get used to it if we are to protect the world. Sure, the enemies may be metallic knights made from homunculi crap and devils that could summon monsters en masse, but you shouldn't forget about who you will be protecting." He tapped the shoulders of the two guardians having a conversation. "To think we get reprimanded someone younger than us... Our chief is really amazing..." The words of the guardian weren't arrogant. They showed more of a defeated vibe as they felt that the archons are truly above the limits. "You guys already have a position equal to the [Sentinels]. And even though this is a newer form of an organization under an archon, I will guarantee that you guys would be able to at least compete against the Sentinels in power." Arlesk actually had a lot of camaraderie whenever he checks on the knights that are off-day. Thus he was able to study through what kind of talent they have and whether they will be able to make a breakthrough or not. And that select members taken from those elite knights from the knight order led by Richard, were recruited to become a [Guardian].
"Anyways, after this, you guys would get well deserved breaks to spend with your loved ones." Arlesk made a wry smile as he eased the two guardians who were having a slight nerve on the situation. The group is currently stationed in Kitrixia who has mostly recovered their armies. And fortunately enough, they weren't hit by an army from the coast this time unlike the battle they had in Omnidaxius.
The battle in Omnidaxius was somewhat uneventful but seeing as only council knights are on the attack in Kitrixia, it is going to become something major.
Arlesk looked up to the sky and quickly noticed the distortion of the skies. The distortion eventually formed a gigantic disc in the sky around just a kilometer away from the Kitrixia castle. "Damn, so they're dropping that close huh? Would've been nice to break their damn platform but they'll scatter." Arlesk started to think up of a plan on how to deal with the army of knights. "Archon Arlesk, we have two discs descending from the skies. Each disc hosts about thirty thousand metallic knights." Just as he listened from the report, Arlesk noticed a glowing light from each disc that is making a big preparation. When he realized what was about to happen, he flew sky high and activated his necklace. "[Stellar Astronomiya]! [Inconjunct]!" Within just a single moment, two gigantic lasers came from the two discs which could be more than enough to wipe off the castle from the map. And just as the two lasers were about to converge directly at Arlesk, a giant mirror formed right in front of him, absorbing the lasers without much effort. "This power... No doubt about it..." Arlesk quickly concluded that he's going to end up facing two council members right from the get-go. He quickly sent a telepathy to the guardians to enter formation in the direction where the council will attack as he noticed two enemies start to rush in towards him. He dispelled [Inconjunct] and quickly formed a stance midair with his rifle and sword in hands. "[Stellar Astronomiya] [Luna]." Arlesk calmly activated another function of his artifact as he faced the two enemies that stopped a few meters away from him. His mind quickly thought about pushing the enemies back at the start of the battle but they seem to be interested in a short conversation. "What a shitty greeting, council members." The two council members who arrived in front of him looked like a couple. However, he couldn't easily think of the two of them as easy enemies that he could deal with without any issues. "Well, it was necessary for us to examine what kind of power our opponent will hold. But with enough confirmation, we know we're not fighting the Emperor." Arlesk's brow furrowed a little as he noticed that they seem to be trying to avoid the Emperor, which is Serkyrio. "What? You fought him once and lost? So you don't want to face him alone?" With a tiny bit of mockery, Arlesk prepared to make his move against the enemies in front of him. "Hm..." The man simply huffed and shrugged the insult directed towards him. "This is our first meeting, Archon Arlesk Finlay, I am Hyperion from the council of the skies. And I received orders to bring your head to our god." [Tch!] Arlesk simply clicked his tongue in annoyance as he activated the sequence to disassemble the musket to begin its unlimited laser barrage. "[Opening flourish]!" Lasers and stars start to blast throughout the area as the Hyperion and the other council member quickly dispersed from the area and flew backwards to have Arlesk's waves of stars gain a wider gap.
"Thea, we'll need to fight Arlesk from either great distances, or close range. Either way of the battle is his complete domain as he only needs to face two of us." Hyperion quickly informed the other council member, named Thea about how to deal with Arlesk. "This archon we're facing is the duelist, the lesser enemies he faces, the more difficult he is to fight against. He has army killer abilities but he has the perfect tools to fight one versus one."
Arlesk pursued the enemy after cancelling his attack. He didn't bother thinking about the possibilities since his opening attack somewhat damaged the enemy army. "Now, those two will be a tough nut to crack. I wonder if the council is going for a two against one tactic against us Archons..." Arlesk wondered about what the deal is with the council now that they sent two members against him.
