Keith was sent towards Santuria along with a certain group that he was already acquainted with. He was accompanied by Jevil and Viceroy who are making preparations to intercept the enemy knights that are starting their descent from the skies.
"Keith, do you really think these volunteer friends of yours who once betrayed Draxus will be useful?" Jevil had doubts towards Keith's decision making which made a big reason for two vice-chiefs to be acting together. The ones joining Keith's group are his friends when he was on his younger school days. "Pauleen, Juniper, how are the rest of your group?" Keith shrugged off Jevil's question and turned his gaze over towards Pauleen and Juniper. "They're pretty much willing to join us for this, well it's mostly Gayle and Beatrice not wanting to abandon their friends in a massive battlefield after hearing of it from the announcement. Needless to say Gayle got into a major argument with Josh afterwards, but it seems like it's fine for now since both of them are here." Pauleen explained the situation within their group as they seemed fine enough to fight against the descending knights. Juniper then cut in the middle of the explanation asking for Gwen's whereabouts. "By the way, I'm pretty sure Gwen was sent with us, where is she?" Keith looked around as he wasn't really familiar with the location of the area. "I'm pretty sure she went towards the pope..." Pauleen spoke up with an idea as to where she might be. "Have you told them about his history with Gayle?" Keith shook his head slowly to Juniper's question. "It's not really that simple to talk to them you know? Audrey may get more opportunities to talk to them rather than myself. I myself am not sure whether they've heard of it already anyway." Keith looked around and noticed that only one disc descended from the skies. "Only a few thousand plus huh...? Pauleen, Juniper, you guys will be joining me in the coast to fight against the army of devils. Jevil and Viceroy will be enough to eliminate the knights here." With Keith's instructions, Pauleen went to the other members to move towards the coast. Gwen accompanied them this time as they noticed a thousand templar knights joining them. With a knight order joining them for defense, Keith smiled as he felt optimistic about the defense.
After arriving at the coast, they noticed that multiple ships are starting to dock right at the edge of the island. With the idea of battling against more than twenty thousand devils with various monsters coming in as well, there were people prepared for death as they marched.
"Heed me men, I am here to temporarily represent the reinforcements of Preeliance. I am Keith Nagual, a vice-chief from the [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels]. The Templar Knights are to form a line of defense within a chokepoint between these two hills. Support attacks will come from these two, who you may be familiar with due to their visit in this country before." Pauleen and Juniper were stationed in two separate hills with their magic and support attacks ready. Pauleen has her bow prepared while Juniper had activated her fallen angel form. Both of them had a few members supporting them which are also their acquaintances. Gayle and Josh however, are in front of the group. "We got these two volunteers who will be led by me to take on the very front to limit the number of these monsters coming towards you. The mission is to hold out until Draxus arrives! Ready up!" Keith brought out his trusty sickle and chain as he formed a stance and prepared himself in combat.
"Keith, been a while since we had talked. We could've played some Valorant if possible but..." Keith simply laughed it off as he prepared his newly improved sickle and chain. "Unfortunately, we can't really play games while we're in this world. By the way, your abilities?" Keith questioned the two acquaintances of his without even looking at them. Gayle answered first as she quickly explained hers. "Ability to mind read and use mana for various support tactics, though mainly, I should be front-line assassin." Gayle wields a a large scythe that was forged after she earned a lot of money with Josh. "Mine is the same as ever, a world of the end, I can end pretty much anything without limitations." Keith made a mental note to test his concept later on after the battle. He wishes to see something important that he may eventually report it to Draxus. "By the way, you really are going to be under him huh...?" Josh said something lightly which was still heard by Keith. "Still think Draxus is some scum? Or do you perhaps think he'll be forever alone as you said? Anyways, now's not the time to answer, we got company!" Keith instantly stopped time and appeared right in the middle of the monster army. When he spun, he quickly cleared off a large area and scattered the blood of various monsters. "[Spirit Summon]! [Chrono]!" Keith summoned a time spirit and began to adjust the flow of time towards reverse within the area. His idea involved reversing the moment the monsters are summoned, but that left him temporarily vulnerable. Just as the monsters converged into him, a black barrier was formed an thunder quickly struck it. The thunder didn't damage Keith, but the lightning strike spread out after hitting the barrier, effectively disintegrating a good number of monsters. Keith could only smile at Juniper's great supporting abilities. "[Chronoreversal]!" With such a skill active, any attempt of sending monsters will be reversed completely, making the devils who are summoning the demonic monsters waste their time and mana. With the monsters moving backwards, Keith took that time to press his advantage towards the front of the ships. However, just as he started to make his advance, a figure came out from the center of a ship which opened big signals as Keith remembers something.
"The [Devils in the Farlands]? Possibly led by demon lords?" Draxus nodded as he explained the identification of new enemies that came from Remuel's report more than a month ago. "Yes, since the abilities of greed and envy are similar to their names, be careful on some of them. Their appearance may be similar to the actual devils themselves. Personally, I'd like for you guys to avoid Wrath or Pride without either Arlesk or Remuel moving to intercept them. Those two will be troublesome if they have abilities that can mess with your mind." Draxus gave stern warnings to the entire group to ensure that they won't get into major trouble with the enemy.
"So I guess I was given a bad hand."
