Audrey and Matt's group was given the signal to go. Audrey quickly opened the battle with a two-element overwhelm. The elements that were used to overwhelm Matt's group were metal, and nature. Draxus understood the combination quickly as it's a pair of magic that doesn't usually appear in battles, so making countermeasures on the spot was practically barely possible. In Draxus's case, he would quickly freeze the wooden spikes on the spot and electrify the metal while dodging for a good setup, but he was interested as to how others will react to the attacks. Matt's group quickly dodged, but one of them was struck by a metal spike on the foot as he dodged, pinning him to the ground. That stopped him from making any moves as the wooden spikes punctured his body. Each spike contained toxins that simulate poison, granting major pain and increased sensitivity of the body. Before long, that man was instantly teleported near Draxus, allowing him to be freed from any pain.
"Oi oi... That power, it's definitely dangerous." Edward muttered in a low voice which can only be heard by himself. They were still dodging the overwhelming attacks made by Audrey as they felt that something is off. "She's unleashing way too much..." Their group had already understood the relationship of magic and mana. But none of them were able to quickly comprehend as to how Audrey handles her mana. They continued to dodge until Audrey deliberately stopped her onslaught. With her stopping the magic attacks, Matt quickly shouted to inform all his members for a pincer attack. Audrey smiled as she already knows how to counter such an attack.
Powerful gusts of wind continuously prevents Matt's group from making progress. Most of them including Matt tried to pursue further, but allowed Audrey to take advantage completely. "There is no retreat now..." With a small mutter, magic circles composing of the water element began appearing around her. Each magic circle protected her like a shield, but just as Matt's group thought of such, they were suddenly hit by a surge of water impacting their whole bodies. Draxus smiled as if his teachings had bear fruit. "Looks like the elemental arcanist has reached a new height... Protected Offensive Magic is complicated to pull off, but she sure quickly got through it." Each magic circle continued firing surges of water as if springing forward from a powerful hose. Most of Matt's group was eliminated quickly from that attack, but the two remaining people were her own brother and Edward. "Impressive, for the both of you managing to survive such complicated methods of combat there." Draxus voiced out his impressions towards Audrey's blood brother and Edward, "Heh, I figured that anybody who trains under you in magic will be able to reach no end of it, so I was careful in that regard." Draxus smiled, as one of his neighbors understood his capabilities despite being quite distant in terms of activity together. "The two of you definitely passed with flying colors but, try to survive this last one if possible." Audrey then began her activation of Protected Offense once more as she used a barrier to surround herself to blind her targets while sending powerful lasers towards her own blood brother and Edward. The two tried to dodge as best they can, her brother was struck with the magic and immediately got recalled for healing. When Edward saw that, he raised his arms and surrendered. "Hmm, surprising of you to survive all that." Draxus simply smiled as Audrey ended her attacks and turned around. Edward tried to play with some cheese as he pulled out a handgun and shot a bullet towards her. Audrey didn't dodge, which made Edward expect to actually land a blow. However, Audrey didn't actually need to dodge in reality. "Wha-!?" The bullet simply passed through her and didn't even gush out any blood or flesh. Draxus laughed hysterically like a certain legendary Spanish man from meme culture. Edward simply sighed as he got teleported out of the arena and began letting himself heal up.
Arlesk was in the room where people end up whenever they had to resign mid battle. He was not impressed with the display they made, but he was actually holding back his laughter at how arrogant Matt was against Audrey and lost in the second phase of attacks. "So, it's a good thing that most of you survived the first barrage of attacks, that was already passing. Edward, Draxus is impressed by you, did you have some sort of training before we met?" Edward nodded and quickly explained his capabilities. "We used to be the same level when it was his brother that was leading our group. But that was only during our elementary levels, Draxus then quickly disappeared from our group and decided to take things alone for the most part. Wesley joined him in that regard, there was still salt between Draxus and his brother, that's what I thought was making him hesitant to return. But apparently, he found a much stronger group anyways, so I'm rather happy that he found a better group. He ended up fighting with one of our members before leaving after all, breaking his gadgets didn't really spell good for him." Arlesk simply smiled his way out as he thanked Edward and sent them out in a rush, he then returned to the arena.
A month had passed after the incident of the summoning of the second batch. Many thing had occurred throughout the land of Preeliance as new adventurers had started appearing as more famous and reliable people.
Edward was chosen as a good representative to report anything that happens in the adventurers guild, or the summoned batch that went independent. "So, I'd like to know something about your group of Sentinels Drax." He sipped his tea while glancing towards Gwen. In his mind, he was still shocked about the fact that his childhood friend got five fiancés, but he had accepted that fact and somehow felt proud as his former partner in crime. "Well, in regards to the Sentinels. After they complete their first mission, for the new recruits that is, they gain a title based on their expertise. I myself provide those titles, the recent ones come from the mission involving this girl here." Draxus started petting Gwen's head which got Edward to chuckle for a little bit, as Gwen blushed from embarrassment. "What kind of crazy crap did you drag yourself to?" Edward asked about the mission, to which Draxus casually hid the explicit details. "Well, it's about trashing a country's culture and fighting very dangerous enemies. I actually snapped once that time, so I'll leave the details out of it. But the people who were joined with me on the mission did way too well. So they definitely deserve it. The vice-chiefs are required to have very deep pools of mana, especially Audrey, since she's one of the mages in the group, she is literally required way more than the four other vice-chiefs combined." Gwen leaned her head on Draxus's shoulder while he spoke about the requirements for the Sentinels. She was accompanying him today as Olivia was busy with the secretary lessons and the other three were training. Draxus was actually teaching her some things regarding [Music Incitement] and [Music Support] concepts of magic but they decided to take a break by visiting the guild. Draxus and Edward continued to talk about the details while Gwen was slowly starting a cute prank by play-biting his shoulder. Draxus was still unbothered but he was starting to blush at the Deaconess who was being playful with him while he was talking. "You two are quite close, how nice for you to get a fiancé like that. Wonder when will springtime come for me as well." Draxus let out a dry laugh as Gwen lied down on the couch while using his lap as a pillow. "Don't worry, it'll come quickly with your handsome face mate." He reassured Edward while caressing Gwen's head to keep her comfortable. He was externally calm but he was pretty much screeching inside entirely. He was desperately trying to hold back from folding right in front of a person. "Aight, I'll head off now, you two may need some quality time after all." Edward was grinning as he left, which somewhat irritated Draxus, but when he glanced down towards Gwen comfortably snuggling on his lap, his irritation completely disappeared and pinched Gwen's cheek. "You may be a Deaconess, but this adorable display is too much for me!" Draxus was blushing a little too hard for his own taste due to the sight of Gwen playing around. He quickly pulled her up and started tickling her. "W-Wai-! Buhahaha-!" The playful couple was audible outside of the room, making sure that nobody would disturb the wholesome space while Wesley slipped a camera from the shadows inside that room.
Out of all the Sentinels, Wesley was basically the strongest behind their leader Draxus. Thus he managed to get away with his trickery. He then livestreamed it towards the other Sentinels, some of them laughed, some were feeling proud as if Draxus has gotten over something painful, while one person decided to report it to Remuel.
When Draxus returned to the castle, his shoulders was suddenly gripped by Remuel and Arlesk, both of them had ominous grins. "Cease and desist, lolicon." Draxus shouted with his lungs, causing the entire castle to hear his struggle against Remuel's jokes, and Arlesk's impression of a troll face.
