On the highest point of the cathedral stood three people. Maria had began setting up a wide-area anti-brainwash magic. At that point, she had become unable to perform any sort of assistance towards the other two who are preparing to intercept attacks from all directions. Jay and Audrey looked around to examine the view if there are any enemies that will come around.
"Aud, how long do you think this would take? Draxus could be killed if he isn't careful." Jay looked around and noticed that a huge number of men from all directions were slowly walking towards the cathedral. Audrey frowned as she remembered receiving direct pressure from Draxus. "Dunno honestly, if it's this widespread then it could take about ten minutes. Draxus brought out the moon card so I'm sure he's gonna survive the battle without breaking a sweat. But for sure, he'll be found crying later due to the compensation." Jay inclined his head as he continued looking around while asking questions toward Audrey. "What do you mean by that?" Audrey shrugged her shoulders as she could easily recall all forms of abilities and concepts Draxus had. "Since he's going against a time magic user, he'll likely use the concept of both Dimensions and Time. But that one had the worst kind of compensation as the memories associated with the [Wandering Abomination]. So he knows for sure that all of us aside from the Archons and Emperor Serkyrio himself are the only ones that can handle a proper fight against them. I don't know how many there are, but seeing that we can't even hold a candle to that bastard Iapetus, then we have no chance against the other people like them." After three minutes of waiting, Audrey squinted her eyes as she noticed something walking clad in full armor. Jay noticed that action and followed her gaze, after seeing a small group of knights slowly moving towards their position, Jay felt an extreme level of power inside them. "Suspicious knights..." Audrey muttered as she kept her gaze towards the three silver knights that are moving towards the cathedral. "Should I snipe them?" Audrey asked a question to Jay for a second opinion. Jay sighed and shook his head sideways to warn her. "Don't, if we end up killing an innocent person we'll be in trouble. Let's wait for them to make their move." Audrey nodded in response after listening to Jay. She checked around and saw a few more knights around them. Eventually, after another four minutes, it formed into a huge circle that not only surrounded them, but also the people that are moving towards the cathedral. "Alright, their suspicions have risen up at this point..." Audrey looked around and saw a pattern of four silver knights and one red knight in between two pairs. it was a large enough perfect circle that seemed to have greatly prepared for a no-escape route. This should be clear right?" Jay nodded and answered verbally, but it was stopped as the knights suddenly grew a pair of wings and started flying towards their position. "We have two minutes! Blast them down!" Audrey summoned all forms of elements and threw them all around the area towards the positions of the knights. Some magic were absorbed and some clearly dealt some damage towards them. Audrey then quickly processed all the information she had gathered on the spot. "Light, dark, fire, won't work on all of them... Electric, wind, and ice won't work on the red ones... Then I'll use earth magic." Audrey then channeled a huge amount of mana to create an earth barrier to which Jay quickly left the effective range. In her mind, she thanked him as he had read her mind completely. Audrey then began to set up multiple earth spikes and harden them into metal. Now, she has time to engulf them into an explosion from the mix of fire, electric, and wind magic as a way of propulsion to the air. In the meantime, Jay used his equipment to fly around the area while distracting the knights by landing strikes on them. However, despite the amount of distraction that he made, he wasn't able to cleanly damage the armor. "Just what is this gear of theirs? Guess I have to use this early." Jay channeled a huge amount of mana all around his body and activated a powerful state. "[Justicia n Destino]!" Daggers of dark blue colored hilts and black hilts formed around the back to create a pair of wings. The black and dark blue bladed wings then began to materialize more daggers by duplication as they were formed from the wings themselves. Jay discarded the gear he used to fly around and returned them to the interdimensional storage. He then flew around as the bladed wings flapped elegantly. Two swords then materialized in his hands which are similar to his wings. "With this, I can damage them now." Jay flew around and targeted the red knights who are sitting around while surrounding the solid barrier. A red knight noticed his approach and clashed blades with him. A loud clanking sound reverberated on the whole roof as the two blades pretty much stopped each other. However, Jay wasn't able to push further despite having the assistance of gravity. He swung the other sword to the side and damaged the armor of the red knight, causing it to flinch. With that chance, he then controlled his wings skillfully to pierce through the chest of the red knight, effectively killing it. The red knight fell to the roof and stopped moving afterwards. Without wasting time, Jay tried to move to the next red knight but the silver knights began to take notice of his threat level. He sent multiple duplicated daggers all over the area to at least slow them down as he makes an escape. Just half a minute later of dodging, he noticed that the earth barrier was slowly beginning to disperse as he instantly assumed full defense by wrapping himself in his bladed wings.
Audrey activated all the magic that was setup around her while she was right next to Maria who is about to finish the anti-brainwashing. All the metal spikes then flew all over the area destroying the silver and red knights without much resistance. With only two red knights left after the setup ended, Jay flew towards them and quickly eliminated the remaining red knights skillfully using complete dagger control and the extreme strength of his two swords. He then returned to his position as all the knights started falling down from the roof to the ground. "Fuah..." Jay sighed as he turned his gaze towards Audrey while giving a thumbs up. "Thanks for that, I was getting quite desperate to dodge." Audrey shook her head sideways slowly as if it was nothing. "It's more thanks to you for distracting them enough." Audrey gave a bright smile which got Jay to turn away his gaze while blushing. "Ah... Yeah..." He then smiled as he managed to shrug off the shy expression. The two of them looked around to check if there are more enemies. Just a little bit later, a light pillar rose up from Maria's position and generated a humongous magic circle right above them. When the two looked around, All of the men began to collapse one by one and lose their consciousness. "It's a success?" Audrey muttered as she kept her eyes on the magic circle on the sky. Jay responded with a calm and relieved voice. "Yeah..." After the magic circle dissipated, Maria collapsed on her knees while having a pale expression. Audrey rushed to her and brought out a small bottle filled with liquid mana. "Maria!" Maria smiled as she watched Audrey approach her and drank the liquid mana without any resistance. "Sorry, it was my first time using a magic of that scale... It turned out very well but I still end up using almost all of my mana at once." Audrey shook her head sideways slowly. "No... You did very great, we should look for the others now..." Maria and Jay nodded as they stood up and started walking down to the stairs to the interior of the cathedral. After walking down to the large hall, they saw multiple signs of people and had a feeling of turbulence. "Guhh... The dimensions here feel so warped... It should wear off later so we should advance for the time being." They ignored the collapsed bodies and the blood that was splattered down, but before they could advance to look for Draxus, Jay noticed a doorway that leads to somewhere. "Aud, I think over there." He pointed towards the doorway and ran towards it. After checking, he noticed a long staircase down to the underground section. "There's something here!" After hearing his shout, Audrey and Maria went towards him with a quicker pace as he urged them. "We should check down here..." Jay gave out a suggestion as Audrey gave it a long thought. "Yeah, there could be something in here that we don't know yet... It could lead us to Draxus, or the base of the enemy..." The three of them slowly entered the dark hallway and descended down the stairs slowly.
