In the underground area of the cathedral. Six homunculi that were made by Iapetus's ability to [Create Life] just like in a certain mythology stood in a platoon. They had a mind that was engraved to them by another person, but that person had already left the chamber to return to the floating continent. Iapetus smiled as he took up the large spear that reaches two and a half meters. The blade portion took up twenty percent of the entire length while being divided into two colors. Black and white. His height was close to two meters, with a tall build that was slightly maintained well being in the middle of skinny and buff.
He watched the six homunculi perform combat as they all skillfully manipulated the elements of magic without a problem. Despite being inside the barrier, they managed to use up a lot of power to create damage within the experimentation area. Each homunculi was wearing a certain set of armor five of them were made up of silver while one of them were made out of adamantine. Iapetus turned his head to Cronus as he let out a short opinion from that. "The armor was expensive, but do you think it's worth it?" Cronus simply nodded as he turned his head to the sleeping person from the watching room. It was Axel who was completely exhausted and contained bags in his eyes. All injuries he had were healed up completely while magic power was oozing out from his right hand. Iapetus noticed that and scratched his head. "Ascended armor huh...? Are they ready for the first test?" Cronus simply nodded while showing a smirk on his expression. He had similar height to Iapetus as he looked down on the six armored homunculi which had grotesque appearances and thick skin made up of magic and experimented fluids. "Their bodies are already tough, both types are capable of fighting against a hero in a small platoon like this. The difference is that, the royal blood mix have a distinct method of commanding and planning in them. So the difference is that, the [Red Sky Knights] have a brain which they could use. While [White Sky Knights] are basically foot-soldiers that have no mind. They are still powerful nonetheless." Cronus and Iapetus smiled as they began to prepare to unleash their first group of experiments to the surface.
Lunchbreak could be a great war.
In the dining hall of Santuria's headquarters, Draxus was sitting between Gwen and Olivia who are both spoon-feeding him alternately. Audrey and Pauleen had already taken a few pictures and both of which could feel a glare coming from Draxus. But given the situation and their behavior, he couldn't really do something bad to the two of them. He decided to resign himself on the war of not having to deal with both Audrey and Pauleen having blackmail material.
Their lunch continued on normally after they had returned to the headquarters, they once again spread out to explore various parts of the city. Olivia and Gwen followed Draxus in his leisure trip after he was seen carrying a magic engine on the way back. Because of that incident, the two decided to keep an eye on Draxus before he overspends on mechanical magic concepts. It was said that he was speaking in a low voice as if to complain while accepting reality that he couldn't do anything about it. However, the words that came out his mouth were: "Magic vehicles....." Nobody was able to hear what Draxus said at that time.
Pauleen and Juniper walked around the various shopping areas in the capital city, they had encountered various shops where they bought various souvenirs to distribute to their friends the moment they returned from the mission. They eventually found Audrey along with Jay and Maria as they began walking around together as a group. Just as their leisure tour began to reach a certain point, an explosion occurred on the other side of the capital. "Wha?! What just happened?!" Jay immediately turned his gaze to the sky as he thought about getting a vantage point to see what's happening. He used his equipment to reach a high elevation and noticed that Draxus was on the way to the incident with Olivia and Gwen. He then returned down and went towards the group to begin explaining. But just before he could begin to explain the situation, he unsheathed both of his swords and went behind Audrey. "Aud!" Jay parried the incoming spear which was used as a surprise attack greeting and forced it into the ground. But just before he could react, he was grazed by the black blade of the spear that reaches way beyond two meters in length. Jay ended up vomiting a lot of blood after feeling extreme side effects of receiving a graze which was impossible. "Kuku, you were the one to interrupt me from killing Draxus before, can't believe you're the same person to interrupt me from killing the dangerous magician as well. Too bad, [Mortal Ground]." The group finally turned their views to Iapetus who had grazed Jay with the spear and forced him to lose a lot of blood with a single strike. "Surprised are you?" Upon hearing those words from Iapetus, Audrey's expression immediately turned grim, as she tried to pull Jay away from Iapetus. But just as she touched Jay, she immediately felt all the magic coursing around Jay. The cracks on her heart widened as she began to feel nothing but resentment to Iapetus. Jay noticed that Iapetus had gotten overconfident as he continued to explain the kind of magic that hit him. He then slashed at his chest which was barely dodged. However, it broke the badge which held the entire barrier, making him feel surprised. "Shit! The barrier! Oh well, we'll have to lower this thing sooner or later anyway. But for trying to damage me when you're just small fry..." Iapetus pierced his spear through Jay's stomach, causing him to start bleeding and feel excruciating pain from the insides. "[Mortal Limbo]" He muttered something under his breath, which caused Jay to vomit black blood. At that point, extreme surges of dark energy, and corrupted elements to swirl around the area. All of which came from Audrey who had her hair cover her eyes. Maria noticed that she could finally use magic and began repairing Jay's insides. "A-Audrey...?" Juniper tried to check on Audrey which gave her a dangerous instinct. She immediately pushed Pauleen away as she received a dangerous dark energy blast. She used her own magic to protect from both of them from the attack and was barely successful on neutralizing the dark energy. In that instant, all forms of magic were launched in all directions indiscriminately as Audrey shouted in pure wrath. All magic launched then changed their directions as to aim towards Iapetus who defended himself with a barrier made up of pure lifeforce. "Wonderful!!! To think that you hold that much power to damage my unbreakable barrier! I will pull back for now, we shall meet again as fate demands us to battle!" Iapetus began to fly up to the sky with his monochromatic clothing fluttering. He tried to speak some more as he floats up but they became inaudible as Jay collapsed and Audrey was literally shouting. "Fucking cunt! I'll crush your existence!!!!" All the magic expended flew all over towards Iapetus once more who instantly disappeared without a trace. Audrey then lost everything in her mind as she began to indiscriminately destroy the area. "E-Evacuate the area! We'll hold her off here!!!" Juniper shouted as she the civilians around the area began to ran away from different directions. Dark energy flew all over the place damaging various structures. Maria had retrieved Jay and placed in over a table nearby to prevent him from taking further damage. Pauleen brought out a bow as she tried to distract Audrey as much as possible. Juniper used her magic to create feathers to disperse the magic and preventing as much damage to the surroundings as possible. Maria then immediately used her phone to try and contact Draxus.
On the highest point of the city, three people were watching over the two battles that unfolded. "Boss, I didn't manage to kill the magician, but I managed to cause her to snap. However, the badge that was our barrier of preventing them from finding us has been broken." Cronus simply shrugged his shoulders in acceptance as he turned his gaze back to the cathedral. "That's fine by itself, we got what we need here. I will stay here with Axel until after the ritual, we don't need to get the final batch but who knows if we might actually need that batch. We could always aim for a stronger group that will allow us to reach an even stronger power for the homunculi." Iapetus pondered as he had interest on how they could further empower the homunculi. Cronus saw that expression and simply smiled. "[People of Earth], the group opposing Preeliance, and we should summon the second batch of Earthlings soon enough. Go now, don't risk yourself getting caught by either Draxus or the snapped magician. I'll return to the underground area for today." Iapetus began to fly up sky-high and left the area. Cronus returned down to the cathedral and wrote a note of his successful revival of the council.
