Inside a briefing room of the Preeliance castle, was the [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels] gathered in full force. It contained various members that are around the ages of seventeen, eighteen, and twenty-one. Draxus, who is acting as their leader and trainer, began the briefing. "Alright, I have gathered you all here today as the first mission had been decided. This mission is assigned to the three of you, Keith, Wesley, and Audrey. You are free to add more members into your group but there are currently only eleven of us. Exclude me since I'm tasked to remain in this castle." Currently, there are only eleven members within the [Order of the Crystallized Sentinels]. The members that are listed each have their own specializations and are named after it.
Draxus Heimdal: [Sentinel of Concepts], the chief of the sentinels.
Keith Nagual: [Sentinel of Spirits], vice-chief of the sentinels.
Wesley Sirius: [Sentinel of Shadows], vice-chief of the sentinels.
Audrey Fairchild: [Sentinel of Arcana], vice-chief of the sentinels.
Jevil Kane: [Sentinel of Aggravation], vice-chief of the sentinels.
Mitch Crifter: [Sentinel of Time], a member of the sentinels.
Viceroy Alistair: [Sentinel of Chivalry], a member of the sentinels.
Justin Hearne: [Sentinel of Foresight], a member of the sentinels.
Gilbert Artemas: [Sentinel of Trickery], a member of the sentinels.
Maria Rosangel: [Sentinel of Reverence], a recruit of the sentinels, under Audrey.
Jay Fenrir: [Sentinel of Stealth], a recruit of the sentinels, also under Audrey.
They became famous within the alliance as they have maintained peace in various countries. Each one of them has their own title and it was pretty much public that they maintain order in all of the countries of [Tranquil Harmony]. The vice-chiefs have been given thorough training under Draxus to the point of being able to combat against a hero one versus one. With enough training, Draxus now allows them to undergo missions as he began explaining the details. "I'm sure all of you know the notorious actions of Begona Wallowheart, Chris Jefferson, and Elliot Herlon Scatherion?" The members immediately nodded as they recognize the names of the people who harmed both Remuel and Draxus to some extent. "Good, the mission is about them who are sighted around the Omnidaxius kingdom. Keith, Audrey, and Wesley, you three can invite anybody here to join you with the investigation. It's up to you whether you identify their hideout, apprehend and kidnap them so that they'll be sent to us, or you kill them with proof to be handed to us. Either of the three will have varied rewards, so you guys can be flexible on your actions. Our opponent will be the remaining members of the organization [People of Earth] which was established before we even knew it. Their locations seem to be spread out but their leaders are no good. We need their group to be led by a proper person and benevolent. Not someone who are thirsty for power and revenge. Serkyrio has given us items that are extremely potent on disintegrating mana from a target area. Use it wisely so that you guys can dispel their shapeshifting abilities." Draxus placed down multiple grenades on the table that bring out EMP shockwaves to disrupt any energy or mana. Keith, Wesley, and Audrey each took one grenade and hid it to their interdimensional storage immediately. "Now, you guys can go just as three members, but you can go up to seven people." Wesley turned his gaze to Keith and Audrey. They then enter an agreement to include two more members into the mission. Wesley stood up with his arm raised and suggested Viceroy and Mitch to join them in the mission. After making the final decision, Draxus then brought out the rest of the information that they need including the possible locations on the map. "The picture that was shown to me by Serkyrio was on the southwestern part of the Omnidaxius kingdom, it's near the border of the eastern side of Bazylopia and filled with extreme levels of mana density. It is likely that they're letting themselves mutate and become a much more powerful existence by absorbing the abundant levels of mana in it. You guys are to head to the nearest town and find a location that is good to serve as your temporary base of operations. Wesley, I'm sure that you have a shadow there already?" Wesley's shadows are capable of swapping positions with him for easy travel. Although Wesley uses that normally for combat tactics, it is a convenient method to escape and travel as it could bring other people as well. "With this, the briefing is adjourned! Wesley will be the one to lead the mission. Keith, Audrey, Mitch, and Viceroy, be sure to assist him with everything you've got. The mission itself isn't the hardest, but it can get pretty difficult if you don't handle it properly. Oh, and Audrey, please remain in once everyone leaves." Audrey tilted her head as the rest of the people left the briefing room.
"What is it about Drax?" Audrey sat on the chair near Draxus as he brought out his [Fortune Cards]. "You see, the effects of [IX - Hermit] and [XX - Judgement] are kinda swapped around. Mind helping me switch them to each other?" Audrey nodded and brought out a small wand that was made by Draxus. It's an item that allows her to perform various enchantments. "We still can't do anything about the compensations huh? If we can't avoid it then it's fine by itself." The two then worked on the concept of magic after removing the effects on both [Hermit] and [Judgement] cards. "By the way, we should begin making the inverse effects as well, I sense a lot of incoming danger and I don't want things to go south..." Audrey nodded to Draxus's words as they began working on the inverse effects of the [Fortune Cards]. "The compensations of the inverse can be different... This time, it's going to be a little scary if you make a mistake... You might break the world concepts if you aren't careful with your uses for it. By the way, you have handed a very dangerous item for Keith right? If he upgrades his [Spirit of Time] it'll be bad for the world as well. So I would advise you guys to use it as final tech abilities only." Draxus nodded and immediately left the room after finishing the creation of the inverted effects of the [Fortune Cards]. Audrey looked a little concerned as she actually ended up seeing very dangerous compensations. "I trust that you'd use them wisely... Leader..." In her mind, she let out a sad comment about the new dangers Draxus holds in his power. One card will make him lose control of his emotions, some of which even makes him lose control of his power, and some even focus on [Time Compensation] where he will become unable to move for a certain amount of time. "Don't lose your precious memories alright...?" As she muttered an ominous warning that wasn't heard by anyone, she knew that Draxus will eventually lose something much more than just humanity.
Later on, Draxus was inside his bedroom with Olivia. They were talking about various things which lead to one thing or another. Eventually, the talk reached to the point of the mission briefing. "How was the mission briefing by the way?" Olivia stared at Draxus with her pristine jade green eyes. "Well, it went pretty smooth, Wesley will be leading the team and they will be able to handle it." Draxus smiled for a little bit but it dropped down to a serious expression immediately as he took out his [Fortune Cards]. "These cards..." Olivia's expression sulked down a little as Draxus began explaining things. "I had Audrey swap Hermit and Judgement, since these cards are swapped. After that, I had installed the inverse effects. I have to say, the effects are really powerful, but some of these compensations are really bad..." Olivia used magic to examine the cards Draxus held. It was a technique that Draxus taught her when it comes to examining items. "Compensations... Insanity... Numbed senses..." Olivia turned silent as she noticed the remaining compensations involving loss of memories and blindness... "Drax... Are you... Going to use these eventually...?" With fear in her heart, Olivia asked Draxus as they connected their gazes. "....If the situation requires it..." Olivia hugged Draxus while tearing up a little. "I understand... I'm sure the others will understand too... Should we tell them about these abilities tomorrow?" Draxus embraced her tightly and nodded to respond. "Yeah..."
