The two didn't have much time to talk, the boar immediately resumed its attack by charging towards them.
"We need to get out of here!"
With the girl still in her arms and a small cub hiding under her shirt, Rada found the strength to make a sideways dash and launch herself towards a bush.
The boar's attack went awry again, blinded by rage he attacked everything within his reach indiscriminately.
"Hell, I'm really going to die here..." complained Rada cautiously hiding in the bushes.
He was exhausted, his arms and legs were still shaking from weakness, it was hard to see how he still managed to have the strength to move.
"Why did you come here!!! And how the hell did you do it in the first place!!!? You shouldn't even be in any condition to move!" exclaimed Rei.
Still wrapped in the boy's arms, she didn't pay much attention to the uncomfortable position. Her head was planted in his chest, she could clearly hear the rampant beats of his heart, as well as his uneven breathing just inches from her face. Drops of sweat slid lightly from her hair, which darkened with moisture.
"He must have run all the way here just to save me..."
Having grown up in an all-male household, things like feelings between a man and a woman were still unknown to her.
"I'm glad you're okay too Rei..." said Rada sarcastically.
"What!?" Rei was speechless. She looked at his face, despite his funny expression, he exuded a sense of confidence.
The boy's body was practically torn to shreds, but he had just saved her life, when she thought there was no more hope, a hand was extended to her by the most unlikely of people.
The situation was desperate, but it seemed to Rada that it didn't affect him in the slightest, he was thinking about his next move. Not far from him was a huge beast out of control.
The experience he had in the woods had made him more brazen in the face of danger, he was stronger both in body and mind, he just had to take notice. The change seemed imperceptible, but all his insecurities vanished before the danger.
"If the situation is crazy, I must be the craziest of them all" had become his new motto.
Rada's behavior, left Rei puzzled. How could a person be so calm in the face of impending danger? He looked young, but the confidence he displayed was no less than that of the most experienced warriors. She could only admire his steady nerves.
"We have to move, we can't just sit here and wait to be torn apart," Rada said after a few seconds of silence.
"Where do you want to go in our condition? My foot seems to be broken I can hardly feel it anymore, not to mention you, it's a miracle you're still alive!" Rei felt like she was going crazy.
He knew full well that they couldn't just stand there, but in their condition it was quite difficult to put any escape plan into action. However, he said it like it was the easiest of things, in that moment he wanted to open his brain and see what was in it.
"Even putting aside our conditions, I still have the smell of his baby on me," Rei said after letting out a sigh.
"That's why he's so furious..." nodded Rada.
"Yeah, although he can't find my exact location he can sense that I'm nearby, it won't be long before he finds us" Rei continued in a serious tone.
At that point Rada immediately pulled an idea out of her hat, "I know how we can get out of this situation!"
Rei's eyes lit up, "How?"
"Simple, we'll throw him off, we'll leave a strong trail here while we sneak away," Rada said smugly of his genius.
"Splendid plan! But how do we throw him off?" asked Rei naively.
"Um..."
Rada's eyes settled on the girl's shirt, her face taking on color from embarrassment.
"This one..."
After realizing what the boy was referring to Rei protested firmly.
"What!? You're insane! What the hell do you take me for!?"
This time she felt like eating him alive, okay she was a tomboy, but she was still a girl!
"Would you rather die here?" asked Rada, amused by the girl's reactions.
Rei found herself at a loss for words, her face was red with anger and embarrassment.
But she couldn't help but accept the crazy idea "If you tell anyone I'll kill you right now!" said gritting her teeth the poor girl.
"You have my word," replied Rada in an innocent tone. The two of them looked into each other's eyes for a few moments, there was no perversion in Rada's eyes, there was only a strong determination. That was also the reason why Rei gave in to her idea.
On the other hand, Rada gave the girl no reason to be ashamed of anything. Without waiting for the girl to ask, she gave space and closed her eyes, pulled Kiba out of her shirt and slowly took off hers as well.
Making sure that Rada had closed her eyes, Rei began to take off her shirt, but was surprised to see that he was taking off his as well.
"What are you doing?" asked Rei.
"Taking off my shirt, take it and wears, it's not much, but it's better than nothing, right?" replied Rada gently.
The unexpected kindness and thoughtfulness of the boy surprised Rei not a little, she stood still and observed him for a few seconds. It was the first time someone had such reserve for her, it was something unknown, but it was a pleasant feeling.
"Are you there?"
"A-ah yes" Rei shook her head and changed her shirt, "Done."
Rada opened his eyes slowly and crossed his gaze with Rei's, the girl's face turned a tinge of red.
Noticing her embarrassment, Rada looked away. He took the puppy and gave it to the girl who hugged it willingly.
"Good," he said, placing the girl's shirt between the bush that was hiding them.
"We have to go back to the river, when we get there we will completely immerse ourselves for a while, in this way the boar won't be able to smell us".
Rada explained his idea step by step.
"Ok" Rei nodded.
"Listen to me now, we have to make as little noise as possible, we will slowly crawl to a distance that allows us not to be seen by the fat man."
Rei smiled at his explanation , in a situation like this he still had the strength to joke around. However she was surprised by his plan, without realizing it she let him take charge of the situation.
"Let's move" after giving the go-ahead, Rada and Rei got on their stomachs and began to crawl out of the boar's reach. The two were both struggling and felt their bodies aching, especially Rada, but they gritted their teeth and continued on.
Little Kiba, on the other hand, was between two voluptuous soft pillows under the girl's shirt.
"Hate! Envy!"
Rada screamed inwardly as he cast a glance at the heavenly scene next door, but he made sure not to be caught by the girl.
"The girl is young but very beautiful," he thought.
They went slowly, but they were very careful not to make the slightest noise, and once they were about thirty meters from the boar, they sat down for a few seconds to catch their breath.
In normal conditions it would not have been tiring, but being both wounded and adding the stress due to the tension, it was not easy for the two to disentangle themselves from the beast.
At that moment Rei noticed something strange in Rada's back and said, "What the hell? The wound on his back is healing fast!" She exclaimed with her eyes wide open.
"Huh? It's actually been a while since I've felt any pain...".
Rada didn't pay much attention to his body, also due to the situation he was in, the wounds as well as the excruciating pain from before were gradually fading away, leaving no traces.
The wound on his shoulder was closing, he could move his arm again, which until recently was still numb, the claw marks on his back were barely visible and the burns were no longer there.
His body was back to being as smooth and toned as a child's.
"You're a cultivator!" said Rei surprised.
"A what? I've never grown a vegetable garden in my life," replied Rada jokingly.
"Not a farmer! A cultivator! A martial arts expert who cultivates his body and spirit for the purpose of transcending his mortality, how can you not know these things?"
Even Rei was stunned at Rada's doubtful face, she didn't seem to be lying from his gaze, but what she was seeing was clear.
His fast recovery ability was due to the inner energy that constantly strengthened his body, only cultivators who through hard training and constant struggles could overcome the limits of being human.
But he was strange, he didn't look like a cultivator, for some strange reason the girl was puzzled.
This harmless looking boy was mysteriously different from all the people she had met.
