When I opened my eyes, I was in the dense forest with big huge trees surrounding me. I was confused, because I had no idea where I was. I felt a strong pain in my back, as if I was lying in a thorn bed.
Someone covered with blood was lying next to me. I wasn't able to see his face. But even in that unconscious state he was holding my hands tightly. I felt like I was breathing my last breath.
A man who was wearing a tiger skin dress was walking away from us holding a sword with dripping blood. All I was able to see was the big tattoo on his back. I am sure it is some kind of animal tattoo. But I wasn't able to see it clearly because my eyes were filled with tears. I felt an unbearable pain near my heart and I wasn't able to move, I became unconscious.
Suddenly I heard Kate voice from a long distance calling "Kris!.. Kris! ".
When I opened my eyes, I saw Kate shouting with a worried face.
" Kris, what happened? Are you okay? Did you have that nightmare again? "
Then I realized I was in the girls dorm room. It was a dream which is haunting me from my childhood.
I was blank for a minute. Again, I got an intolerable pain behind my back. For a second I thought that I was still in that nightmare. But It was my birthmark this time. A birthmark which is more like a tattoo of the infinity symbol. I know it is weird, but grandmother Grace Walker used to say that " It is your Identity and you should not reveal your identity to anyone".
She even gave me an Infinite symbol red diamond bracelet for my 18th birthday telling that I should never remove it. Even though I didn't believe in these things, I never removed it because she was the one who raised me after my mom and dad's death. She is my only family.
Kate asked "What happened? "
" Nothing my birthmark, I feel like it's burning " I said controlling my pain.
"Let me look at it"
I removed my coat for her to see.She was silent suddenly.
After some time "Don't worry. It is an allergy" she said with the worried face. Her words and her reaction were opposite.
Iris and Ellen entered the room. Immediately Kate covered my birthmark with the coat.
"Do you guys know why Phoebe Bing was standing outside our room?..."
"And she looked like she saw some ghost. "
" What? " asked Kate with a shocked face.
"You know her? " I asked.
"No. Actually, I forgot something important. I will finish it and join you guys in classroom. Kris you fresh up and go with Ellen and Iris " she said.
I felt something weird. She looked so nervous.
"Professor Yang class? No ways... "
" We are not coming to that boring class. Like seriously when he knows no one listen to the class why would he ask us questions?..."
"We will join you after his class Kris" replied the twin sisters immediately.
Thinking about going to the classroom, yesterday I wasn't able to talk to that green eyes, handsome guy because the class started immediately. After that class, he disappeared. I just hope that I don't see him today because I get a strange feeling and pain whenever I see him.
When I was lost in these thoughts Kate left the room. Ellen and Iris also said they have some work in the library and went. I was left alone. I went to the classroom and sat in the same seat like yesterday.
I was waiting for Kate looking that the doors. She looked anxious and she didn't even answer my question properly.
"Can I sit here? "
Suddenly a bold yet attractive voice asked from the back. I am damn sure it is that green eyes guy, because again, I started to get that pain.
I was nervous to the point that, I unknowingly nodded my head yes. He sat in the seat next to me. For the next few seconds a dead silence.
"Hi!... I am Austin Winston" he said after a few seconds.
I was confused, whether I should tell him that I know. What if he thinks I am stalker?.
"Kristen Walker " I said. Like seriously, no hi or no hello?. That was the only thing that came out of my mouth.
"Kristen Walker... " he repeated. Why everyone around me is so attracted to my name I don't know. I know my name already. Why repeat it again? .
Anyways unconsciously to kill the silence, I asked "You have brothers right? ".
Then I realized, I shouldn't have asked that. I am sure that he is going to think me as a stalker.
To my surprise, he smiled.
" Yes. You have cousins right? " he asked.
Great. He knows that I had cousins. So, that doesn't make me look like a stalker right? .
"Yes " I replied.
"What about your parents? " he asked instantly.
I am not sure whether it is normal to ask these questions in first meet. It is like he wants to know my family history.
"They died in an accident when I was 5 " I said.
He was silent and lost in thoughts. He want to reply or say something right?.
Professor Yang entered the class. Iris and Ellen was right. His class was really boring. He is a living sleeping pill. At least the class got over soon.
"If you need anything call me anytime "
Austin said, staring at me with his green sparkling eyes.
I smiled. His brother suddenly called for him. He smiled back and went to his brother.
He isn't bad as I thought of him.
Suddenly I realized that Kate didn't come still.
Where is she?
