Chapter 25 - the stranger?...

I huff.

This is so boring I've been staring at the damn TV for the past three hours deciding whether I should just knock on Nate's cabin and ask...No Demand for answers.

I hear the sound of the clock,

Tick tock.

Tick tock.

Such a mocker this one. I roll my eyes.

Okay one last decision to make, I can just drown myself in sorrows or even talk to my siblings and I'll forget about him right?

Ughh!! this is so fucking annoying.

I get up make my self look presentable and open the door.

Surprise that's all that comes on my mind when I see who's standing on my door.

"Uhh what are you doing here?" I ask the stranger I mean I don't even know his name but his face looks way familiar.

Silence.

"Are you lost?"

"May I come in?" We both say at the same time.

What am I supposed to say now, I don't even know him.

"Mira I need your help may I come in please?" I look at him he sounds desperate.

I sigh and allow him in. "Do I know you? I feel like we've met before."

He just smiles a little bit but his face shows disappointment.

"I'm a friend of Jamie."

"Jamie... Jamaica my crazy friend? How? Sorry I'm being rude it's just that she never has male friends without the deed...." I explain slowly making sure he knows I didn't mean it offensively.

"I understand." He answers.

"Do you need something to drink or anything?"

"No am good, thanks though." I just nod and take a seat across him urging him to speak up.

"I'm not even surprised why Jamie hasn't said a word to you about me she's very secretive of her life." He paused for a while looking at me seeing if I'm following and it astonishes me how he knows this part of jamie maybe they were that close.

"Did you date?" I ask him abruptly.

He shakes his head no. "But we had a few attachments."

"And I'm guessing they didn't go well." I point out.

"Something of the sort." He briefs out.

"Well what did she do, she's quite a handy." This makes him chuckle a little bit but turns back to stare at the floor.

"I may have been the one who pointed out we should be a fling you could say friends with benefits....we went with it since you know the thrill and stuff but I didn't know that she was slowly starting to like me and then a few days before she saw me and another girl kiss." He winces when he says this. "I didn't know what was happening it was just that the girl came up to me and started kissing me and there she was standing looking at me as if I went and broke her heart i just had to put two and two together to figure out that she started having feelings." He breaths out.

"Well that's alot." I chuckle lightly and clear my throat. "Do you like her?" I ask the obvious question here.

"Yeah I do, I did ever since I helped her with rehearsals.'

I smirk at this, "so it's you, you dyed your hair." I say remembering him with blonde hair at the cafeteria.

He gives me a cute shy smile, "yeah I did."

"It suits you. Now all you have to do is tell her." I easily voice my words out.

"That's the problem though she doesn't want to talk to me. She's avoiding me big time and I just found out that the kiss was a trap, a plan to distract Jamie from dancing so that she lost the leading role on the next game." He say frustratingly while running his hands furiously on his hair for a moment I thought he's going to pull the hair out of his scalp.

I stay quiet for a long time probably because i don't know what to say, Jamie has been shutting me out probably because of my issues with Nathan but that doesn't give her reasons to fight alone. I didn't even know that she had a role that was very important to her. Fuck I feel like a bad friend.

"She told me nothing about the dance role, stupid Jamie and her secretive life, I'm supposed to support her am her friend." I stand up and start pacing angry as to why she's found it easy to do this, what else is she hidding?

"Did she tell you that she was just out of a break up?"

"Yes, she did probably why it was easy for her to say yes to the fling." I sigh in relief.

"So where do I come in, in all this?" I ask looking at him.

"I just want you to help me talk her out of avoiding me or convince her to face me because I've been trying yet all she does is act as if I'm not there."

"You can just wait for her here she's bound to return anytime now." I suggest to him.

"Wouldn't it be awkward with you inside?"

"No, in fact I was heading out before you arrived and I trust you enough not to break a thing." I shrug as I look at him properly. He looks like a mess his dark brown hair falling everywhere on his head, dark circles on his eyes he even looks tired as fuck.

Jamie...Jamie what the fuck did you do? I sigh and wait patiently for him to give me his answer.

"I'll wait for her" he says after a short silence.

"Well that's settled I'll make sure no one interrupts you, I'm just going to send Jamie a code red that I know she won't resist and will be here in a few 'kay?"

He just nods muttering a small thank you.

"Well make yourself comfortable I have a feeling when this is all done I'll be seeing you for a long time."

He just smiles. I quickly send the text to Jamie and grab my stuff to head out until the stranger calls me again.

"My name's Blake by the way." I just nod giving him an encouraging smile.

"Good luck and it was really nice to meet you despite the circumstances."

With that I head out ready to fix my issues.
