Adonis wondered why he was being stared at like that. She had pity in her eyes and what did she mean by what she had just said? Adonis' head felt full and heavy. He had known Daniil for a very long time and they had become more than colleagues- they had become friends.
Adonis cleared his throat. "Jade..."
"Yes?"
"What do you mean by you warned him? I do not understand"
Jade observed him and thought of the best way to let him know that if he could not find Daniil right now, then he would never find him again. She had sensed it that day. Death was lurking around him and he had warned him. That was the best she could do. Jade felt sad that her warning had done nothing to help the man or to prevent the tragedy from happening. She felt sad... especially from the man sitting in front of her.
"I felt something off around him as if he was going to depart from this world very soon, and I warned him... told him to be careful. But..."
