Chapter 10 - Bacchus And Hera

Bacchus felt negative energy approaching his yard. Straightening his spine, he sat in the middle of his room waiting for whoever or whatever that was for he knew better than to go outside into the open to face what he wasn't sure about.

Mentally, he checked the weapons he had strategically placed physically around his room. They were intact.

Goaz was known in their universe as a peaceful place. Some humans were here also, but only for a short period of time. They were the ones with magic that come to Goaz to relax, refill and gain more knowledge from the creatures here. All lived together in harmony. So this force he sensed was a bit alien to him after all his years in this place.

Though, once in a while, some pixies turn evil, letting their dark side or greed take over completely, thereby polluting their entire existence.

When such happens, the Sage of Goaz banishes them to another universe entirely. He didn't tolerate evil at all.

HIS DOOR BLEW OPEN!

"Such a rude entrance", Bacchus murmured as his hand came down from protecting his eyes from the splinters flying around. He found some embedded in my fur and was picking them off.

"You've really dirtied my house. Who are you?".

When the dust and scattered wood settled, Bacchus realized that it was a woman that had barged into his house in such a manner.

She was sinfully beautiful. She had pinkish skin and breasts so large they were almost popping out of her maroon-colored corset. She looked like she was out of breath with how tight her dress was. Her eyes so slant it seemed like she had them pulled back towards her hairline and clipped it somewhere there.

Her hair danced in the air of its own accord like there was wind inside the room and her fingers... not nails, yes, her fingers, were longer than usual.

Bacchus suddenly felt uncomfortable.

[Who was this woman? What business did she have here?]

Then she spoke, with a voice as light as nothing I've ever heard, "I'm Hera, and I am looking for the human girl that passed through this place some time ago. I have killed to gather information on her and I don't mind doing so if I do not get what I want. I can smell her and the magic she carries here"

"What business do you have with her? Where are you from anyway?"

[Who did she think she was throwing threats?]

He didn't like this at all, not one bit. [How did this Hera know about Jade?], he thought.

"Hahaha Hahaha", Hera laughed.

It was more of a high-pitched shriek. Bacchus almost closed his ears but he remained still, staying ready for anything from this Hera person.

"Tell me what I need to know, Satyr. I could do you a lot of harm. Where is she?

He said nothing rolling his fingers... charging his magic, getting ready to defend because he, Bacchus, wasn't going to attack her. It would be best if she left with the trouble she had come with.

Ajax got back very frustrated. He had sent out orders to his boys to find 'The Mystery Lady', and he was awaiting results. Now, this lady had come to his notice for the second time. Hera had told him she was the one covering the whore, Selena.

Previously, he wanted to find out who was the person helping people. When people needed jobs and such, they came to him. Now, there was someone solving their problems without expecting anything in return. Ajax had to get rid of the competition, it was going to affect his business in the long run. That was his way, the only way he had stayed on top till now.

[What was the best course of action? How was he going to defeat someone with magic and abilities?]

He needed to contact Hera.

He got into the secret room, sprinkled some blood on the mirror, called her name.

He had called her name several times but she didn't appear before him. Ajax didn't like being ignored. She had to treat him as a priority.

Bacchus noticed a glitch in Hera.

[This woman is unstable], he thought.

Hera struggled between her good side that she had let go of years ago and the bad side she embraced now.

Bacchus noticed as a ring on her disturbingly long fingers shone red.

Hera looked down at the ring and looked back at Bacchus.

"I don't have time to dilly dally with you anymore"

[Ajax must be calling for me], she thought

"That amulet in the possession of the human girl belonged to my former mistress. When I became Hera, I killed her and now, I want that power for myself. She had sent it to find someone who she claimed would use it for good. I guess it found your little human. Tell me where she is and I promise to be merciful to her"

"She isn't here anymore. Yes, she is the amulet but she left months ago. Now, leave my house. As you can see, I have got repairs to do", Bacchus said.

"Then you leave me no choice". In the blink of an eye, Hera shot a scorpion towards Bacchus. With a wave of his hand, he set it on fire. He blew air from his mouth unto the fire that spread wildly, reaching where she stood. She made a sound and leapt out of the way. If she hadn't, she would have been burnt alongside her tight corset.

Some incantations came out of Bacchus' mouth and skeletal hands emerged from the floor grabbing Hera's feet. Another hand stretched out and held her waist tightly. She screamed.

"Release me!"

Incantations of her own made some energy radiate from her body that sent the hands back into the ground.

"Just leave. I do not wish to fight or duel with you. Take your flying hair out of my sight", Bacchus said.

Hera began jumping... almost gleefully.

[This woman isn't okay], Bacchus thought.

He got distracted by how her voluptuous breasts followed her movement. They went up, blocking her face entirely, then down.

Hera saw that her plan to distract the Satyr was successful, so she used that opportunity to hit him with an energy ball that shone bright green.

As he covered his eyes from the light, by the time he opened them, she was gone.
