I sprang out of the bed. I knew staying in the hotel wasn't safe anymore.
I packed my bags and everything that was mine and as I was about to leave, Clark's call came in
" I was just about to call you " I muttered before answering the call.
" Did you do it?. How could you have truly done that,I thought I called you back about my change of heart. I told you I must have been crazy when I said those things to you. I told you not to take my words seriously. But how could you?"
" Hold it right there.... why is everyone accusing me?. I didn't...."
He didn't let me finish my sentence before he hung up .

" Why wouldn't anyone believe me?" I soliloquized .
