Seraphine's POV
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Jesse's voice over the phone. I was happy to hear his voice again but I was mad at him for leaving just like that without saying any goodbye.
" I'm truly sorry Seraphine. Something came up so I couldn't reach you " He explained.
" I was actually scared, I thought something bad happened to you. I tried your number and even sent you mails but there was no response " I said. He apologized once again saying it was something he had to do.
" Alright I'm glad you're back but I'm no longer in the city, I'm in ivy hills at the moment " I replied. He told me there was no problem and that he would visit soon enough, what he said at the end of the conversation was what got me " I won't run away anymore. I miss you" . He said it with so much emotion and I was worried that I might have fallen for him. He has Damien's voice too and that made it harder.
