Chapter 3 - The Plan

The layout was large at least 20,000 square feet having 3 guards stationed at all exits and entrances.

After Karma had gotten back Key had hooked him up with the USB-Y while relaying the plan.

"You see the 4th exit/entrance? That's our target, it has 1 less guard that the others and while the security and technology is extra high there to make up for it that shouldn't be a problem if I use my drone correctly."

I nodded, I trusted key, we had been partners for almost 3 years now and had done 5 successful assignments together over that time frame.

"So ideally, I sneak in and get it done fast and silent rather than take out the guards correct?"

"Yes, that's the ideal strategy but if your forced to fight them just try to do it as fast as possible without attracting any others"

"Alright, so sneak in, get to the target get it done fast and dip"

"Exactly, but first you'll need to memorize the layout"

I groaned, this was always the process that had me half asleep.

"Don't look at me like that! I'm just doing my job you want that VX or not?"

"I don't want it Key, I need it"

"Yeah, yeah, spare me your lecture"

I glared at her vigorously.

"Supposedly, from what iv gained, they should be in there bedroom and asleep not waking up for a few more hours. From where your going in you'll need to go up 3 floors and pass at least 4 more guards all having some sort of talent"

… We both went silent… my talent only worked if blood was shed first and was the basic definition of sacrifice. Due to the fact there's four people with talents trained directly from the government, I'd most likely need to use my talent.

"Do you think I can't pull this off?"

"I'm… not sure"

The once heavy room, now crushing, went silent once more.

"Well, we got our selves into this, rather I got us into this, so I'm going to get us out safe and sound.

"Well at least your taking responsibility, just try not to get yourself killed"

"I won't"

'DAMNIT KARMA WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GOTTA MAKE THINGS AWKWARD?!??'

'I DON'T KNOW YOU THINK I CHOSE TO BE LIKE THIS?!'

'ALRIGHT KARMAS BREAK IT UP LETS JUST LOOK AT THE SITUATION AND REVISE'

Karma 3 sighed, Karma 1 and 2 had always been fighting like this and Karma 4 only came out of his shell when the action was happening.

'Alright let's get a handle on the situation and come up with some options, we all suck at socialism and are introverts, how can we steer the conversation from inevitable doom?'

'We- We can like… I got nothing'

'WELL GREAT JOB THERE ME HERE HAVE A MEDAL!'

Suddenly, out of no where, a gold medal with the words

"#1 useless" imprinted across it popped into karma 2's hand and reached out offering it to karma 1

'why youuuu!'

A vein you'd see in cartoons you'd watch as a kid popped onto karma 1's head

'AT LEAST IM TRYING!'

'WELL YOUR NOT DOING A GOOD JOB AT IT!'

'OKAY THATS ENOUGH, how are we gunna get out of this mess if you two keep fighting?!?'

'How about a distraction? Just avoid the conversation all together'

By now we had set up a round table for us all and karma 2 was sipping his tea.

'okay but how do we do that? Wouldn't that just make things more awkward with a conversation that would die out quickly?'

'Damn your right…'

'how about you try to revive the conversation in a way that it'll slightly awkwardly flow back into a way where we can direct it in the way we want'

Everyone slowly turned towards karma 2…

'YOUR SMART?!?'

'SHADDUP!'

'so what your suggesting is we stay in topic and slowly alter it to our fitting?'

'sounds like mani-'

'shush we don't talk about that part'

'alright sounds like a half-maybe plan'

'HALF?!?'

'OH YOU SHUT UP!'

'NO YOU SHADDUP!'

"So I get through the 3 guards, up the stairs, and kill him, how do I escape?"

Key winked

"Way ahead of you, the room 2 down from the target there will be stairs heading down to a cellar under the mansion, there you can access the sewers and escape under the freeway, from there I'll have one of our cars set up and ready to go"

Sighing I mumbled

"What would I do without you?"

She chuckled

"Time for the detailed analysis of the building!"

'NOOOOO!'

'no water… food… just the distant sounds of torture in this endless pit of darkness'

He put his hand up reaching out towards the sun

'Is this what death feels like?'

'I think it is… I don't know if I'm gunna make it…'

'guys it's been 10 minutes chill'

'you wouldn't understand our pain'

'yeah, yeah, alright get up we gotta memorize this If we don't where all dead and my memory capacity is about to blow'

"Ughhhhh, OKAY OKAY I get it, once I get past the guards I take a left and head up, from there I'll make two rights and take the least guarded way up through the back door-like stairs. Once I'm up there I'll go to the opposite side of this goddamn country of an estate and go to the fifth room on the left side hallway"

"Yep, looks like you got down the general route of things, next up is how we approach the place, since it's a pretty guarded place there will most likely be surveillance scouting the area"

"We'll that's not good, how do you think we should handle it?"

"No idea, I'm still figuring that out, but I think we should approach under the highway for several reasons"

"Oh?"

"Well first of all, going under the highway will minimize how much they can see us as well as the fact there are multiple ways to get to our entrance while still staying hidden thanks to the beautiful landscape our target gratefully bestowed upon us"

'I think I'm finally starting to like her'

'mhm yeah totally'

'shut it you two'

DAYUMN I DIDN'T EVEN SAY MUCH THIS TIME'

"Alright but why don't we just use the sewers to get in and get to the 3rd floor instantly instead of going through all that security?"

Key clicked her tung.

"There's actually several reasons where not doing that

1. We don't know the exact location in the area and it'd be noisy to attempt finding it"

"Okay but can't you ju-"

"2. 9/10 chance it's locked and we can't afford to risk anything, think about it, why would they ever just leave it unlocked knowing he's a larger target?"

'she's gotta point'

"Alright, but how do you know there will be a key there though?

She smirked

"Your lucky to have such a good partner, I went out of my way to purchase a key pass"

'A KEY PASS?!?'

A key pass was white, gold, and black card that gave you access to almost any lock.

"A- aren't though's like 700 VX?!?

She winked and raised her index finger to her mouth in a teasing motion

"I know a guy"

I groaned

"Of course you do"

"Hey, hey, unlike you I didn't follow the path of an excluded introvert, I'm an included extrovert" she pumped out her chest in victory.

'ohh yeahhhh'

"I'll guide you towards the building and tell you when and where to move, from there on it's up to you weather or not we can pull this mission off"

"Alright then, I'll try not to get too hurt"

'WOOHOO finally starting!'
