Everyone heard the voice coming from the other side where the shop entrance had been and it left Johnathan the butler to wonder what the other knights out front had been doing to allow someone unknown to them to just waltz right in while the princess had been inside.
The head knight who had kept his mouth shut the entire time had also just spoken up but he completely ignored the new voice figuring they weren't important enough at the moment if they were calling out for their father coming to the conclusion Phase had to be their father.
"You've made a rather good point but I still have to side with Butler on this matter. Training in a skill and having one granted to you via a weapon or armor skill are on different levels but if you aren't compatible with the skill you would never be able to learn it. It's how the world runs. At least with such skill on our weapons and accessories, we have the chance to change incompatibility with compatibility."
"What the hell did I just walk into?" A voice spoke out from behind everyone who they recognized to be the same voice that was calling out for her father asking if he had been in the workshop.
She stood around 5 foot 5 feet tall with long light brown hair and beautiful fair skin and her eyes stood out the most with them being bright orange like the shop owner. It was only after Misty looked over the brunette did she realized someone else was with her. The brunette and the girl behind her looked to be around the same age so Misty instantly thought of the two of them as being friends.
The other girl was 5 foot 2 feet tall so she was around Misty's height with long silver hair and pale skin. What made her question whether the brunette and the silver-haired girl were friends or not was the fact they both had bright orange eyes. They both also seemed to be around Misty's age as well.
"Dad you said you were only going to be working on my stuff so why the hell are you busy playing shop keep now?" The brunette asked with rather foul language but no one seemed to have stopped her mostly for the butler and the head knight they were still confused about the situation or was it something else? Johnathan was looking at the brunette while the head knight over to the silver-haired girl who blocked the path leading out of the room.
"Calm down. I had already finished it." Phase told his daughter as he reached over towards a briefcase and tossed it to the brunette. She had caught it and a faint smile came over her lips before she turned to the head knight who noticed her staring at him so he gave her his attention. Misty was honestly curious about the whole situation so she only moved back a bit to leave everything to them while she let her eyes wander.
"See anything you like?" Stacy asked in a low tone so that only Misty would be able to hear her. Unfortunately Misty didn't see anything that screamed to her. In truth, she knew exactly what she wanted but it just wasn't here. The weapons looked nice but they were all custom which meant most if not all of them had owners yet to receive them.
"To move things faster why don't we have a test then." Phase spoke out as he put the laser sword back down and then walked over to a different door that was in the room with them and opened it up. It led to a different space that looked to be some sort of training grounds and so Misty had walked over to see. It was massive had white sand all over the ground and was in a full circle surrounded by some sort of magic circle. "I can tell your equipment comes imbued skills so we will test them vs the skills that I've mastered." He spoke as walked casually in his hand was a sword the blade was completely black and its hilt was covered in black wrap.
Johnathan had no plans to back down to some Blacksmith so he accepted and Misty could hear both girls who came late sighing.
"Shouldn't we stop him?" The silver-haired girl finally spoke and the brunette shook her head.
"No. I can just yell at Dad later." The brunette said with a smile and at this point Misty worked up the courage to speak to them.
"Hi. So um I'm Misty. Misty Whisper. You guys are?" She asked them and the only one to answer her was the silver-haired one. "I'm Genesis, and she is Emma." It wasn't much of an explanation but she at least now knew their names. "Shouldn't you stop your knight?" Genesis asked Misty who couldn't help the blush once their eyes had met.
"I don't know if he will listen to me. Sure they call me princess but I am just an illegitimate child so I don't know if I have the right." Misty voiced her thoughts out loud for the first time and since Stacy was close behind her she understood why Misty felt so closed off now. She didn't know if she belonged on this trip and it seemed to have hurt Stacy a bit she didn't realize it sooner.
"Illegitimate? Are you sure?" Emma this time chimed in and Misty nodded her head as she played around with her fingers. "Interesting." She closed the conversation and looked back to her father who was now around 40 feet away from the head knight.
"My name is knight commander Delect Von Right high commander to the second princess of the kingdom." The commander spoke proudly as he took his sword off of his waist and brandished it in a fighting position before Phase.
"Phase. I create weapons." It was a nonchalant answer just like his nonchalant behavior. He held the sword in front of him and it was only then Misty noticed only one side of the blade had been sharpened while the other half was dull.
"It's a katana," Genesis spoke before Misty could ask about the blade. "It's purpose is for killing."
Misty blood ran cold at those words because she didn't want anyone to die over something so simple as a disagreement.
"We have to stop them before someone dies!" She yelled out and Johnathan agreed.
"No one is going to die. You don't have to move." Though Johnathan wanted to stop the fight at that moment he felt like if he did move or say anything he was going to be beheaded. Something wasn't right because the immense pressure was coming from behind him from one of the two girls. Whoever it was, they were dangerous!
"Shall we get started then?" Phase asked but didn't give Delect a chance to respond as he closed the distance between them as if it didn't even exist. Everyone especially the knight commander was surprised because that speed was something none of them expected. The only ones who hadn't been shocked from Misty's point of view were Phase's daughters. Delect used his sword to block but another surprise happened as before their swords connected and that was because Phase stopped his sword just a mere inch short of a clash and smiled as his left foot came up fast kicking Delect right in his chin sending his body up into the air only to be grabbed by his ankle and slammed into the ground.
A shock wave came as a result along with the inside of the magic circle being covered in dust and smoke with visible cracks on the ground forming all over.
"Oh? you're good." Phase's voice rang out as his orange eyes peered through the dust. In front of him near the ground was a faint light.
"Shut up." A pained voice spoke before the light faded and the two got distance from one another once more. The knight commander wasn't hurt despite how things seemed on the surface the knight commander was doing just fine. "I severely underestimated you. That was a mistake, I will not make the same." He said as his aura slowly started to burst forth. Honestly, this was Misty's first time seeing Knight Commander Delect's aura, it was beautiful in every way a bright golden color. The ground shook and reverberated in response and the knights outside had run in to see what was going on surprised to see the commander releasing his aura on a civilian.
"Commander!" The knights yelled out not sure what exactly had happened.
Dispute his men watching Delect still let his aura surge out of his body the only reason the building was still standing was because of the magic circle on the ground.
Delect eyes glowed golden as his aura had finally peaked. Lightening roared from his eyes as Delect was finally ready. "Lightning Resonance!" He yelled out as lighting surged all over his body like a storm. As the lightning reached the blade it didn't spiral around it like it did the rest of his body, instead it was more like Delect's body was being energized by the lighting.
"Well, now this is new." Phase said as he watched curious but didn't have to wait long.
"Lightning magic level 8 thunderclap." Thunder struck the blade and clung to it and right before everyone eye's both Delect and his blade vanished and moved all around kicking up dust and the sound of flesh being cut was heard. Delect was back in his place with a smirk on his face and blood dripping from his blade as he had managed to cut Phase on his shoulder as Misty kept watching she saw static coming from Phase's shoulder and a second later several lighting bolts rained down on Phase obliterating the roof and even the ground under them.
"Commander!" The knights yelled out for the knight commander and with everything going on it wasn't a surprise. Even those outside the weapons shop grew curious and the guards were even making their way towards the scene.
"If you had good equipment this would have been fun." Phase spoke his eyes glowing through the dust and as he used his hand to blow the dust away it revealed him using his other hand to dust himself off. Despite all that stuff, he didn't have a single scratch on him even the wound on his shoulder was completely healed up.
"How is your dad not hurt?" Misty asked the girls who had been watching the fight without any interest. Their dad was the one fighting and losing at this point but their reactions didn't seem to have changed. She seemed to have understood when he came out completely fine but that only made her wonder how he was able to defend himself from such a powerful attack.
"The princess's concerns are justified." Johnathan the butler said as he was watching the fight from the start, the fact Phase had pushed the knight commander to use his lightening resonance was something only high-ranking officers or someone similar should have been able to do.
"You people seem to not have figured it out. No matter how much your knight struggles our dad would never lose to him. The whole reason he even opened this weapons shop to begin with was because if he wanted to have fun fighting strong people then he didn't want to hear them complain about not having good enough equipment to contend with him."
Misty was in shock at the response she had gotten from Emma. Their father was that strong to the point he would rather provide his rivals with equipment to try and fight against him. Misty saw Phase's aura for the very first time and her eyes sparkled. It shimmered around his body like he had perfect control over it. Pitch black with a bright orange outline that seemed to match perfectly with the guy no matter how she looked at it.
The black blade katana he wielded combined with the aura was a beautiful sight for Misty to witness and as he placed the blade in front of him it was like the blade was screaming to do battle.
