While the master and disciple pairs of Golver and Ryne and Lumien and Daney were having a hearty reunion after being separated for the long span of a day, and preparing to continue their journey to the Ro-han city, Hans and Danulo kept making steady and gradual progress into the labyrinth, the first test of the Ro-han's legacy.
Hans kept finding more Metal-eating ants one by one and continued to squish them to death while Danulo was still learning ways to distinguish the little monsters from their natural surroundings.
This learning process though resulted in him getting bit every now and then, each bite making his face paler than earlier. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough time to wait for Danulo to stop and recover, and therefore, even as his thick metallic skin reeked of the stench of purple blood, he could only crouch, be more attentive of his surroundings, and continue ahead.
