***(HuoLi, Himei and pope saintess vs Feillongyi, Yumi and Neah Ari.)
"Looks like they've begun." (Himei)
"Yeah it does. We have to get to our jobs too, Himei-sama." (HuoLi)
"... Don't hold me back, Himei." (Pope saintess)
"Getting cocky?" (Yumi)
"Those words will be your last." (Neah Ari)
"..." (Feilongyi)
Her black robe reminiscent of a shrine maiden's shuffled as she took every step, her 3 eyes glistened beautifully in this world of grey with their ruby red glamour, the flesh on her face fell into all the right places and tied together into a piece of art, as if she was a perfectly chiseled monument. Though, there wasn't really any possibility for a statue to match her beauty, they could only soar as high as an imitation rather than a perfect replica.
The dark gold engravings highlighted her black robe, hidden under a torso binder that held her robe together, but the cloth was loose enough to expose her clavicle and some of the top bit of her chest. Her skin was vibrant like the skies under the setting sun, dyed a blend of pink and orange that exhibited her allure. Her chest were larger than average and she floated comfortably above the void. Her legs bent in a relaxed pose, as if there was an invisible hammock underneath her. She might have been too used to sitting on her lavish throne.
"Bow down before your origin. You are but a diaphanous dream before the sole observer. [Perception dances under the sole observer of the universe]." (Himei)
The scenery changes, it's as if they were back on earth... In Himei's throne room. She say horizontally across the seat, laying both her legs on the left armrest and her back on the right. Under and in front of the high throne was a patch of grey, a remnant from the edge of the world. They negated her final skill by combining their magic. FeiLongYi of Catastrophe, Yumi of Extermination, and Neah Ari of tragedy.
An out of place patch of grey laid stop the Polish quartz floor of her throne room, she had superimposed her usual residence over the edge of the world... With the intention of erasing the three from existence. They had barely escaped their fate due to the sheer prudence in avoiding absolutely any magic the enemy casted. But it also bunched them up for further attacks.
"[Blessing]." (Pope saintess)
"AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" (Neah Ari)
Her arm falls off at the elbow, a clean cut rears its ugly head out. Even the bone was carved away beautifully, her severed flesh forms a beautifully flat cross section, almost as if it could be used as a table.
" What the hell..." (HuoLi)
It was a nightmarish scene further compounded by how there was absolutely ni blood spilled. The opponent's arm had been cleanly amputated and it seemed as if her blood refused to move out of her veins, blatantly disobeying the laws of inertia.
Her name was just as it sounded, when she took rule over the North American continent and declared the soveriegnty of the Holy Kingdom of Blumford, she had also achieved the ranks of both pope and saintess, firmly embedding herself as the absolute ruler of the land. She also introduced a new religion replacing all the rest, a God like being had descended right in front of the masses and demonstrated her miracles, how could they not worship her fervently?
There was no such coercing, those with high magic power tend to be less ardent believers or less passionate worshippers, leading to the theory that it was a passive skill that caused those with less magic resistance to worship her out of their own will. A passive that is active at all times and demands loyalty and worship, a divine level of charisma that bends the will of those under her to her own wishes.
She was God, pope, and saintess. A God that extends her protection to the masses under her jurisdiction, a pope that stands at the highest level of the Holy Kingdom's bureaucracy, and a saintess that represents a fusion of the people's faith and God's chosen messenger. Her hair was a pale golden yellow that seemed to radiate light at all times. Her outfit was like a nun's habit, simple with a black cloak and robe over a white robe. Her glowing eminence was likely an effect of that passive skill that attracted worship, to other Gods it simply looked like she was glowing a lot like a bioluminescent fish.
Her second passive was undoubtedly behind her back... Extending from behind her waist was a pair of white wings, they extended to a wing span of roughly 30 metres. Upon witnessing such a sight... No one would think to doubt her divinity. They spread far and cut an imposing figure, her combat dress was a typical nun habit with wings, but no one would think of her as one. Her unadulterated character shines through her combat dress and beyond, her cold expression commanded an air of regality and absolute power.
Her blond hair peaks out from under her hood, framing her face and highlighting its sculpture like flawlessness. Her pale bluish grey pupils seem to hold everything in its view.
"...[Revelation]" (Pope saintess, Amelia)
"[An external long held wish, inner Catastrophe]" (Fei Long Yi)
A similarly blond but long haired girl stepped forward, her hair tone was closer to a more saturated golden brown than the pale yellowish white that was Amelia's. She wore a white jacket with a layer of greyish sea blue collar at the top and bottom of the jacket, and a black dragon silhouette embroidered onto its back. Underneath, she wore a black shirt and a pair of denim shorts with long chains hanging off of it. The chains looped around, connected to the front and back of the denim shorts, while rows of assault rifles hung off of the chains.
Neah Ari's arm had been healed, and Amelia's [Revelation] skill didn't work. Rather, it was interfered with. If Amelia had put a slightly higher output, it would have went through. She didn't understand how it worked, but it clearly reversed her actions... Neah Ari's injury that she inflicted through [Blessing] wasn't really an 'injury' as that would go against what a 'blessing' is. Instead, the state of having lost an arm was the new 'normal' state of Ari, that was why there wasn't any blood leaking. All she had done was modify her opponent's natural state, in a way it was similar to [Hollow calamity], but Amelia's skill was more conceptual than physical.
Since it was the new 'natural state' of Ari, it was impossible to recover through normal means such as a magical girl's inherent regeneration or healing magic. As such, it was Amelia's magic that was reversed instead of Ari being healed from that state.
"Careful, cataclysm can reverse the effects of magic as if it never happened. But it seemed to rely on sheer magic quantity, it's possible to overpower it by having a larger 'infinity'." (Amelia)
"..." (Himei)
"... We'll settle the case about the Holy knights of Blumford later... At this point, they're almost all dead, killed by Hikari. " (Amelia)
For a moment, her voice shook. But it recovered so quickly as if the trembling in her throat had never occurred. There were still scars from that time, in the battle with Hikari... The Holy knights were ordered to ally with the demonic heavenly kings, the 16 S grade demon generals under Hikari's reign. When Hikari had transformed into the giant flesh wave, it moved as fast as an S grade did and consumed the continent in an instant. Some of the Holy knights were killed by the other S grades of other factions, about half of them who were colluding with the demons were crushed under Hikari's mass.
The survivors went back, numbering around 3 from the initial 12. Losing 75% of their strongest force was a deep blow to the Holy kingdom. Amelia had been dealing with it ever since, up until the destroyers arrived. Her grievances had never been settled, she remained chained and tormented by fate.
"[Grail of the cradling nebula] Full synch." (HuoLi)
This was Huo Li's first skill, it conjured a mysterious substance that was timeless. As such, it was invincible, and she could shape it as much as she wanted to. Usually she shapes it into a scythe to wield, or shoots spikes at her opponent with it. It was an indestructible material after all, so she could even use it as a shield. The only weakness it had was against conceptual magic, and other strange magic such as Myuu's finally skill which allowed her to superimpose a healthy version of her body over the substance and erase it from existence.
There was no need for anyone to tell her, she was severely outclassed here. Everyone was SS grade and she was S, the gap was as good as the sheer magnitude of the chasm between heaven and earth. It was a gap that was usually impossible to reach, but many magical girls here abused their body to the point of no return, no longer remaining human. The only magical girls that perhaps remained 'human' while achieving the status of godhood without abusing their bodies... Would be Himei, Amelia and the dragon God.
Everyone else, Ledia, Kaori, Hikari and Barius achieved SS grade by using their magic, usually their final skills, on themselves. Then, the only way was to have the resolve to do the same... Believe it or not, HuoLi had once thirsted for absolute power. Full synch, was the fruits of that effort. She placed the timeless substance into her body... No she replaced her body with it, then transferred her magical circuits... Her soul over to it. The timeless material was usually colourless, it was a texture with no fixed surface and constantly changed colours like an old television's static.
However, this time they changed to her usual colours. Her black robe with gold embroidery was reminiscent of Himei's combat dress, a Stick granted to her by Himei. Its magical properties help HuoLi retain it on her body no matter what happens to her body. She had a more homely beauty, she certainly couldn't beat her two teammates that were on the level of 'divine beauties', but she was definitely more approachable and familiar.
Her normal appearance coupled with her great power inspired many in the Sanctuary to strive higher, she was a symbol of triumphing effort. A person who worked her way up to S grade, and now brute forcing into SS grade. This was an idea that she had contended with long ago, an experiment of sorts. A last ditch gamble favourable to any other option in this battle. She vaguely had an idea that she was summoned through Ledia's final skill, if so then it was promising, it was a sign of certainty that she could definitely contend with everyone else here.
Then there was simply no other possible outcome, having arrived here she would definitely put herself through risk to ascend into godhood everytime. There was never a guarantee that her magic would allow her to transfer her soul and retain her autonomy. To put it simply, it was a miracle.
She won't let go of this miracle, she will show her place as the rightful guardian of the world, the maiden of world's end that guides the world only to its rightful demise. Any premature end isn't welcomed. She was the antithesis to the destroyers, this was her duty and obligation.
[Boundary of radiance, indifference of aether], HuoLi's second skill. It granted her full attack priority until the opponent's death, in other words it was a guaranteed 'higher infinity' in speed. It has one drawback in that it only works against a single opponent at a time. Her body flashes out of sight, appearing behind Yumi and sending a kick to the back of her head. Himei jumps in and blocks an attack from Neah Ari, Amelia occupies FeiLongYi with more attacks.
With her reliable teammates to back her up, HuoLi takes advantage of this window to pulverise Yumi. Yumi was a brown haired girl in a gas mask and hazmat suit. HuoLi's body was made of the timeless substance, so she could shape her own body into a weapon. Her arm grows larger than her height and sharpens into the shape of a scythe in one motion, tearing through Yumi's waist and splattering her blood into the air. With another swing, her head is off. With one last swing... She was powderised.
"[descension auxiliary, Extermination]." (Yumi)
She was supposed to be dead... No more importantly, she was supposed to be under the effects of [Boundary of radiance, indifference of aether], losing attack priority to HuoLi... The effect was that HuoLi would retain the attack initiative until Yumi died...
She did die. [descension auxiliary, Extermination] revived her from the dead...
