" You aren't going to help your friend? "
(Mirva)
The girl in a black sailor uniform spoke, the dark blue highlights usually blended into its hues, but from up close they emphasised her curves instead. Myuu looked at them with a bit of envy before regaining her focus.
"She'll take care of it. How about you? Are you sure you want to pay attention to other things?" (Myuu)
It looked like a single vine was flying at the sailor uniformed girl at high speed, it's sharpness akin to a spear as it flew threw the air without much resistance. A soft whistling sound coursed through the air as it made its to Mirva in an instant. Throwing a blade of water at it, Mira's attempt to deflect it fails as it shatters before dissipating into magical particles. As for the water blade that made contact with the projectile, it evaporated. So Mirva had no choice but to dodge it as it gouged the earth next to her.
The spear goes underground, as if it was never to be seen again. But it comes back to the surface next to Myuu before dissipating back into magical particles, she was recycling it. Her stare trained at her enemy, tracking every movement to watch for their next attack. She also made sure to check her surroundings, so she doesn't trip over any rubble or make dumb moves.
"... I can do that too you know." (Mirva)
Anyone could. It was a simple technique that involves compressing the magical particles together to make the attack more dense and powerful. Magical particles do not only fuel the materialisation of such phenomena, but they also fuel their speed and power. Packing in more and more magical particles allows one to grow to greater heights, and even more to aberrant territory. It was no exaggeration to say a person with more magical particles was invincible, at least for the people too weak to defeat them.
Of course this is all in the physical sense, there was also magic combat to look out for. Usually magical girls have resistances to magic attacks, but if one manages to overcome that defense or the 'well' stat, the effects of their skills can take place. Skills are the most powerful arsenal. Even Sticks that make a huge difference in battle serve to simply enhance the existing skills of a magical girl, whether it was through a combination tactic or an increase in power and potency.
"I think I finally understand my skill... I'll say this right now, you stand no cha-" (Myuu)
"Water guillotine!" (Mirva)
Dense curve blades of water rain from every direction to aim at Myuu's neck, their speed slightly higher than Myuu can react to. They were shaped like boomerangs and were as thin as paper. Forcing a tree to grow below her, a large log takes the brunt of the water attacks as it expanded in an instant to lift Myuu above the attacks. The tree suffered the destructiveness of Mirva's attacks and was left as splinters all over the ground, but Myuu suffered no harm at all.
" [Vigour of damned nature], final technique - Alpha clad." (Myuu)
Countless vines begin to sprout out of the dead tree's corpse to wrap around Myuu, a brilliant emerald green light leaking through the cracks. Finally releasing their caster, the vines shrivelled and vanished into thin air. Myuu was in her usual magical combat dress, though she has a bright green glow surrounding her body this time. Her combat dress resembled a French maid's dress a little, with the frills and laces decorating her torso and chest, and 2 frilly head bands for each of her ponytails.
In this case they were more like hair ties, but each one could expand to form a headband. Her elegant black dress was laced with frills at its 2 edges, the upper layer reaching halfway down the lower layer to form a double layered black dress. Its velvety surface bends around to form curls all around, her legs wore a dark grey garter belt under the dress. Her shoes were open and easy to move in, they were similar to sandles but they fit securely around her foot.
Forming a sword out of water, Mirva dashed forward to thrust it into Myuu's heart. She noticed Myuu was ill suited for physical combat, and that the both of them were keeping their distance. Mirva was a versatile magical girl who could fulfill both, her skirt was short so it didn't hinder her legs and her top was light. So she trained in both close range and long range combat and would use her water manipulation to suit whichever distance she wanted to fight from.
Mist burst forth from her body, filling up the entire area to form a god. Her swift movements combined with her quick-thinking in using a smokescreen caught Myuu off guard, her very first strike had pierced Myuu's heart. From there, vines had instantly risen out of the ground to pierce Mira's torso, holding her down with her own flesh.
"... GUHAAAK.... how... Are you still.. Alive...." (Mirva)
"... Did you think my technique was just for show?" (Myuu)
She pulls Mira's aqua blade out of her heart, only for the hole in her chest to instantly fill up.
"?!..... Immortality?... I shouldn't be surprise, this is the second time I've seen someone with immortality. "(Mirva)
"Who's the first?" (Myuu)
"Me." (Mirva)
Pulling the vines out, She jumped backwards to make distance once more. It wasn't anything as flashy as Myuu's technique. She simply substituted the loss tissue and cells with water while maintaining her blood flow at the same time. Through her numerous experiences, she had trained and practiced countless times, memorising every small bit of details and possible situation that could occur. It was at a level where she could comfortably function without a heart for quite some time, while waiting for her magical girl regeneration to recover her body.
However Myuu's version was different. It was lustrous green air that stuck to her skin and permeated her entire body, the glimpses of this energy seen outside her body was merely the negligible leakage. Inside her body she had way more of this special energy, utilising her skill that resurrects and controls dead living things of the past, she resurrects her own damaged body parts and can function without them. As long as she has that special green energy flowing in her body, she was truly immortal in the physical sense. Unlike Mirva, she could survive at least once when decapitated.
Mirva gave a simply judgement. 'Our information was inaccurate. I may need to leave those battle freaks here to die, but my life isn't worthless enough to continue such a dangerous fight.' So she ran, she flew away by forming wings made out of water.
"I won't let you escape. " (Myuu)
Countless vines grew once more, this time they had girths that were the same length as a person's height. The spikes on them had also grown in size, their shapes resembling sword embedded into the ground. The sharpness of these spikes and the force of the giant vines combined to thoroughly gouge out the surrounding land, causing massive destruction around them.
Naturally, Mirva retaliated by sending flying water blades to cut up the vines, though more vines only take their place. Her breath began to become more rapid, even though her circulatory system was working properly she had still overused her body, flying ever faster and faster. She began to accelerate her blood flow and allowed oxygen to get into her body by opening up some pores. It was a downpour of deep crimson, the distinct stench of blood spreading all over the area.
To make it simple, Mirva had cut herself open with her own blood and formed gills all over her body. Naturally the human body could not sustain such a foreign system, so it constantly bled out through these 'gills' that it's not suppose to have. On the other hand, it's only because of Mira's abilities that she's able to do this. By creating more water with her skill and manipulating it at an insane precision, she could replenish her blood just as she loses it. Since another large component of blood other than water, was iron, this highly energised and powerful form only later a short while. She could replace the water but not the iron, and she may even go into a shock and die.
Grabbing what seemed to be some white pills out of nowhere, she swallowed them without hesitation. The blood that was leaking out of her body began to take shape in the form of a sword. It had the metallic sheen of metal, yet it possessed a unique aura that couldn't be made sense of.
"You give me no choice." (Mirva)
Taking a wide swing, a shock wave shot forth towards Myuu like a bullet. And it stuck, but... She just recovered in an instant. An unexplainable grin, not fitting for a girl her age, had been worn on Myuu's face.
" I told you.. You can't kill me anymore... Hehe! Heheheh! " (Myuu)
'.... She's gone mad, but she can still think rationally to some extent... Yeah, this should work' (Mirva)
Rushing back in, Mirva extends the length of her blade to 5 metres and flies at a downward angle. She slices through Myuu's torso once more by fling past her at speeds she cannot react to, turning around she swings her blood blade once more.
"....?!" (Mirva)
She was there. Myuu had seen through her attack, of course Mirva would land right behind her if she couldn't manuevre her own movements properly. Mirva was going at a speed too fast for herself to control, so she landed in a predictable spot. Her second attack was completely blocked by a giant tree and Myuu was standing atop the tree. Dense inflexible vines, or a better way to call it, vine spears skewered Mira's body once more as she was caught in a shock.
It was not easy to shock her by doing something unexpected, Mirva had much more experience in other fights as well. What Mirva was shocked by this time though, was not how unusual Myuu's skill was but how Myuu was operating calmly. She would think that someone like Myuu only had limited experiences with battle, but the way she fought now was as if she was a veteran.
Nevertheless, Mirva was quick to recover right after that. Water welled up in her body to shoot out the vines back into the ground, her crimson armour began repairing itself. She jumps upwards to make some vertical distance, this time Myuu could have prepared attacks from behind her so she needed to be careful. The vines had always originated at Myuu's feet until now, but just now they formed next to Mira's body. That meant that her range was longer than she thought, and that the ground was too dangerous.
Vines grew out of the ground in response, they rose in the air like missile and tried to impale Mirva. They left ripples in the air as they travelled at high speed but were shot down by a barrage of water bullets. Myuu jumps up to get closer, in her arm was a long vine spear that she swung with all her strength. It clashed with the crimson blade to make a loud noise of metal grinding against metal. The vine and the blood had both been made to be strong and durable, gaining a metallic property from the amount of magical particles packed inside.
Letting go of the clash, Myuu decided to use it as a whip by making it more flexible and swinging it around. She swung it at Mirva intending to mess with her opponent's positioning before turning it back into a blade to thrust into Mirva. Mirva responds the same way and expertly parries away Myuu's attacks. Finally knocking away Myuu's weapons, she fires a barrage of water bullets.
"[The envelope of life] 2nd technique - Machine gun." (Mirva)
She whispers, 'Third technique, steam expansion'. A silent white mist fills the entire area as the bullets get shot. The bullets turn into mist after they are shot at Myuu, of course Myuu would easily dodge these bullets. The focus was on shooting as many bullets as possible, so their speed is slower than the water blades that emphasis power and agility. Eventually the area was totally filled with mist and Mirva was gone by the time it cleared up.
Since their speeds were quite a bit slower than the 2 close range fighters, they experienced time a bit differently and ended their battles around the same time. When Myuu looked over Kaorin was nowhere to be found, but the opponent on top in the lavender dress began to twist and turn like a piece of rag, it was terrifying to watch.
