Gulf! Will you ever give me a moment of peace? It's almost midnight. If you don't want to sleep, fine. But will you please shut up?"
Gulf rolled hes eyes. Yet somehow he found it funny just how much of a nagger Mew could be when he was annoyed.
"Why are you still up anyway?"
"Uh... The light dimmer, the project..."
"But that's due tomorrow!'
Gulf looked down, embarassed. When he looked up at Mew's smug smirk, he had an idea. But just as he was about to speak up, he became aware of just how good Mew looked, even with half his figure in shadows standing on the threshold of his dark bedroom. It was ridiculous, really. No one's silhoutte was supposed to look that good.
"What are you looking at?" Mew caught him staring, which brought him back to his senses.
"Uh,Mew?"
"Yes?"
"I..um.."
Mew shook his head in impatience and was about to close the door when Gulf hurriedly stopped it with his hand. He looked at Gulf askance.
"Oh no, Gulf. You're not allowed to do that. Control yourself!" Mew teased.
"Shut up. I have no plans of going into your secret lair. I have a favor to ask."
"Favor?"
"Can I,um... Borrow... um, your light dimmer? I have no idea how to finish mine. I just want to know how it's supposed to work, is all."
"Well, it's no longer with me.Β Submitted it last week." What a nerd! But the assignment was just given last week! He thought. "Is that it? Well, sorry. No favors. Now shut up. I'm going back to sleep."
"Mew,wait. Please."
"What?" Mew scratched his head, tousling his perfectly messy hair and making it look even more perfect. Gulf was alternately annoyed and distracted by it.
"Can you help me finish it?"
Mew's brows furrowed so much Gulf was afraid they would forever be joined together. This thought made his giggle.
"What's so funny? No. I won't help you. That's supposed to be an individual assignment." Mew closed the door in Gulf face.
Gulf stood in front of Mew's bedroom door, thinking of ways to force Mew to help him with the project. Just as he was about to give up, he had an idea. He started making random sounds.
In less than a minute, Mew was back outside his bedroom. He stormed out and marched toward his open door, surveying his disaster of a project. Mew started picking up the pieces of the light dimmer, and as he assembled it, he started nagging yet again.
"Why are you such a slacker? This project is so simple. You can even search how to do it. I don't know what you do in class. You probably just space out like you always do." Mew shook his head in disbelief and talked straight for five minutes as he worked on Gulf project. When hr was one, he tested it out.
"Wow, you make it look so easy," Gulf said as he watched the light dimmer do what it was supposed to do.
"That's because it is so easy, you idiot." Mew handed the project to him. "Now will you shut up? I really want to sleep. If you make even the tiniest noise, I swear..." Mew took the project from Gulf. "I will destroy this. I'm not even joking"
"Okay." Gulf grinned. He wasn't really scared of that happening. He was too sleepy to make any noise anyway. Mew looked at him, as if waiting for something. "Oh. Thank you. Thank you so much, Mew!"
Gulf started moving toward Mew, his arms wide open. Mew looked at him and walked swiftly out of his room.
He slept deeply that night. When he woke up, however, he found that he's running late. He had no idea if Mew ever did his morning-knocking ritual. He was probably in too deep to hear it. Or maybe Mew was so mad about last night that Mew did not knock on his door just to spite him.
'Ugh, what a jerk!' he thought as he got dressed.

When he arrived at school gate,he found crowds of girls from nearby schools gathering at the entrance. He had to squeeze his way in, holding on to his project. When he got to their building, crowds of girls from other sections and grades were there as well.
'Ugh, what's going on? This is just what I meed another Mew crowd.' he thought as he fought his way in.
When he was safe from the crowd, his phone started ringing.
"Hello,Mild?"
"I can't believe you! Why aren't you here yet? Ms. Veerah's almost here. Wait, are you planning to ditch class just because you didn't finish ypur project?"
"No way! I finished it."
" Really now?" The disbelief in Mild was so evident even over the phone thet Gulf felt offended.
"Yes,really."
"Well, what are you waiting for?"
"Sorry, it's just that there are so many fan girls in here. Aren't they used Mew yet? Why are they still fawning over him?"
"Ah,that crowd's not for Mew. It's for Kao Noppakao."
"Who's that?"
"Why are you so clueless, Gulf? Kao- the one from the rival network. I swear, sometimes you can be so clueless. FYI, Mew isn't the only celebrity in the world. Well, I better go. Had a sneak out to call you. Hurry up! Bye."
Just as he was trying hard to recall this Kao's face, which he couldn't, the bell rang. He started running toward their classroom. If he didn't make it on time, he could possibly fail Ms. Veerah's subject.
He was so lost in his thoughts as he walked briskly that he didn't see that someone was also walking in his direction. Theu bumped violently against each other, causing him to drop the light dimmer on the floor.
"I'm so sorry!"
"Ugh! Now I'm dead!" He started muttering as he picked up his project off the floor.
The person who hit him started helping him. Gulf looked up and was surprised to find how good-looking he was.
'No, Gulf, you can't check other guys out. You're married!' He thought, shaking his head as if to physically erase his thought.
"Look, I'm really sorry. Let me fix it for you."
Gulf looked up and saw people staring at them. He noticed that they were in front of Mew's classroom.
"Mo, not necessary," Gulf said as he took the pieces of his project from yhe stranger guy. The guy wouldn't relent though.
Nervously, Gulf looked around for Mew. He knew Mew would go berserk if he found out what happened to the project that he bugged him to finish..
"Please, give it back. I'm running late for class and-"
"You! What are you doing here?"
It was Mew. To say that he was mad would be a great understatement.
"Nothing, Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat!"
As soonas the words escaled to his mouth, he instantly regretted it. No one was supposed to know Mew's real name because Mew was deeply embarrassed by it.
Mew was red with fury. The guy stood up and motioned toward Mew.
"Hey, dude. Easy. It was my fault."
Gulf saw just how intensely Mew was looking at the guy. He also suddenly grew aware of people talking around them.
"Ugh, really, this girl? Yesterday, he was bugging Mew for his autograph and now Kao. Come on."
"He's so shameless."
Gulf looked at them and wondered if they were intentionally talking in loud whisper so he wpuld hear.
He looked back at the strange guy and suddenly put two and two together. 'So this is Kao. Wow. Okay.'
He pleaded silently with this Kao guy to give back his project, but wouldn't budge. The whisperings became even more rampant.
"Maybe he didn't actually finish his project, so it must be 'broken' to begin with."
"Yeah, I think he dropped it on purpose."
Finally, Gulf had enough. He dropped his bag to the floor and face them.
"Will you shut up? I'm not shameless as you are! And he bumped into me! He destroyed my project! Ask him!" Gulf pointed toward Kao. "I don't even know this dude anyway. So stop saying such stupid things about me. You don't know anu better."
Kao looked at Gulf, shaking his head with a small smile.
"And for your information, I finished the light dimmer. I mean, ask him! He knows. Right, Mew?" This time, he pointed at Mew.
Mew looked at Gulf, brows furrowed just as much as they did last night.
"I have no idea what are you're talking about!" Mew stormed off.
Gulf watched him walk off and slapped his mouth.

When Mew was finally out of Gulf's sight, he watched as Gulf and Kao started interacting. He didn't even know why he was watching, really. He was just really annoyed at how tjings transpired. He watched as Gulf started picking up his bag and walked away rom the scene. Then he saw Kao trying to catch up with Gulf.
"Hey! Stop!"
Mew felt the urge to stop Kao from chasing Gulf when he felt a hand on his arm. He turned around. It was his newest co-star, Yaya, who also happened to be his classmate.
"What are you doing there" she asked.
He had no choice. He took one last look at the scene. He saw Gulf trying to take the project from Kao and Kao insisting not to give it back. He heard him say, "Where's your classroom? I'll just give this back to you once I fix it. Promise."
Mew smirked at Kao's fake gallantry.
He saw Gulf smiling, taking pleasure in Kao's attention. He pointed out his room and said,
"Can you give it back to me ASAP? It's due first class."
"Sure."
Gulf gave him one last smile before hurrying to class. Mew couldn't believe hos eyes. He was so mad that he just stormed off.
Both Mew and Gulf were in suchΒ hurry to leave. Both didn't even notice Kao picking up a small file case that belonged to Gulf.
