Oscar listened to the recording. It's not as if Angel gave him another choice, to begin with. After listening to the recording, Oscar handed back the phone to its proprietor.
" So, what did you think? Were all your suspicions finally cleared up?" Angel was getting impatient on knowing his answer.

" Why aren't you talking? Are you so overwhelmed that you've lost your voice?" Oscar's silence was making him uneasy for some reason.

" This doesn't prove anything!" Oscar finally spoke.
" What?" Oscar's response shocked him. This wasn't what he was expecting as a response.
" She mentioned a man and put all the blame on him. This doesn't prove anything in the slightest. She fooled you big time, Mukaido. Didn't you think for a second that she could have known that you were recording her?" Oscar inquired suddenly.
No, that's impossible! She couldn't have known what I was really up to. She was in pain and I can certify it just fine. I saw it as I was present on the scene. It was real. She wasn't faking it.
" Oscar, you just don't want to see the truth, do you? I can tell you with 100% accuracy that she wasn't faking it. In fact, she was so in pain that I didn't insist further on her giving me ample information about that man. No one can fake emotions such as these and certainly not Angelique". He said with assurance.
" What do you know? You don't know her as much as I do. After all, she was my friend, my best friend. I trusted her so much and yet, she did such a despicable thing to me. You don't know how I feel, so don't talk as if you knew. Angelique is a vile person and I'll never believe anything she says and neither should you". He shouted.
" I feel pity!"
" I'm so glad you finally decided to see the truth. You don't know how happy I am at this very moment". Oscar has gotten Angel wrong from his word language.
" I feel so sorry for her. Poor girl! In the end, she didn't have anyone she could call a true friend as all these friendships were simply illusions. She thought she had found a friend when she encountered you years ago. She thought she had found someone who would understand and support her in moments of crisis, a friend who would stick with her no matter the battle she would have faced, but she was wrong. All that friendship was all in her head. It never existed. It was all fake". He said in a pained tone.
" How can you say that? I dare you to take back what you've said". He said angrily.
" What? Has what I've said offended you? Are you hurt? Are you in pain?" He asked rather indifferent and detached.
" What you said wasn't right! Take that back this instant! What we had, what we shared was real!" Oscar was angry at the words Angel had pronounced.
" Really! Was that truly real?" Angel's expression has gotten colder. " A friend believes and trusts each other. They don't doubt each other, but you do. You don't want to believe in the possibility that you have been wrong in your judgment and all that is due to your ego. You played with her feelings so harshly. You weren't truly her friend. It was all an act you were playing in front of her".
" Shut up! Just shut up! You don't know what I've witnessed. My sister had an accident because of her. She pushed my sister on the road without mercy. She has been in a coma for four years and hasn't woken up ever since". Oscar broke down in tears. The pain was too unbearable for him to hide anymore.

" My sweet little sister loved her so much. She cared so much for her and gave her so much kindness and love but in return, she only got hatred" Unstoppable tears were dropping from his eyes.
What? I was imagining anything but that. Angelique was involved in Oscar's younger sister's accident? It can't be right! No matter how much I try, I just can't imagine her doing something like that. There must be another explanation for this. I don't think Oscar would have confounded Angelique with someone else. He's certain in what he has seen. I don't think he's the kind of person who would lie on a matter such as this and not if this matter involves his younger sister. Where is the truth? Who should I ask for this? Angel wondered subconsciously.
" Oscar, I had no idea this was what you went through, but I don't think Angelique would do something so brutal" Angel expressed his opinion and that didn't please Oscar to hear it.
" Do you think I would lie about something as serious as this? How much time have you spent with her? Two weeks! It's only been two weeks since you got transferred to this school and you think you know enough about her. What facts make you think she's a good person?" He inquired.
" Her eyes! Her eyes are so translucent. It reflects the purest of her soul. When I look at them, I can feel sadness, care, and so many more emotions I can't describe with words. She's not an evil person. Trust me! What I saw in her eyes cannot be a lie!" He answered spontaneously.
" I'll be leaving now! Homeroom will be starting shortly!" He left the terrace.
As soon as Oscar left the terrace, Angel returned to his reflections.
This story has a loophole inside of it and only Angelique can complete this puzzle, but will she be willing to tell me the truth? He wondered subconsciously.
Oscar was running and all of a sudden, he bumped into someone on the way.
" Look where you're going! Oscar said with arrogance.
" Sorry!" Oscar looked up to see who it was he had bumped into and when he saw the person, his expression utterly changed.
" You again! Why must I run into you everywhere I go? Why do you keep tailing me? What is it that you want?" He shouted.
What the heck? He's the one who ran into her and he's shouting at her! The students nearby were gossiping among themselves.
" I'm sorry for bumping into you. Please, forgive me!"
The girl Oscar bumped into while heading to his classroom was none other than Angelique.
Oscar! How come it's him? Angelique stood up and turned around to leave.
" Wait!" She stopped.
As he glanced at her, Oscar thought back at his conversation with Angel.
Why is he fixing me with such an intensive gaze? Angelique subconsciously wondered.
" I have something I'd like to ask you and you better tell me the truth". He said out of the blue.
He sounds so serious? What is it that he wants to ask me? She wondered.
" What do you want to ask me?" She inquired.
" It's about the incident four years ago!" He said in an assertive tone.
The incident of four years ago! Why does he want to talk about that? Angelique's expression darkened.
