Frontier of Fantasy. The world's first ever VRmmorpg on the cyberset headset so far, all the other games on the headset had been tech demos and tests. This game was the largest game in the world, in genuine map size and popularity and was spread across the entire world on this one day.
The game was finally open to all players around the world, pre-order people got a small head start, but finally the people who couldn't get one were able to join a day later. It was 7 in the morning and people were now lining up to get the game at game stores and a steady stream of brand new players would be logging on.
Around all the freshly logging in people, a taller than usual light would appear, dwarfing most people around, a woman would emerge.
People were too busy experiencing neural VR for the first time ever and had failed to realize where they were inside a dark and damp feeling room, which upon closer inspection was a cave. A holographic sign appeared along with a massive stone door saying "welcome to the tutorial dungeon" and had no other instructions.
The mass of players in the area Immediately rushed out and began pushing on the stone door, just barely making it budge, no more were logging in because the tutorial server they were in was already filled.
After about an hour the door would finally open enough so that people could exit the room and almost all the players rushed out immediately except three. There was a short, blue haired boy in a corner who was probably waiting for the masses to get out. A large burly man stood on the opposite side of an extremely tall woman. The burly man appeared to have chosen the beastman race and had bear ears and tail. 'Did this lady choose goliath? I heard from my friend that it was a bad race…'
The woman, also known as Blacksmith, had picked up three rocks and ripped off part of the sleeve on her beginner's shirt. it was just apparent to everyone else that no one started with any weapons. The other two thought the same thing, 'this lady seems to know what she's doing.' really she had no idea if it would work or not and was just going off a whim, but after about ten minutes and some struggles with tying after beating rocks together, a holographic screen popped up.
[makeshift primitive blackstone hammer]
common
atk- 3
durability- 10/12
weight- 2.1kg
[through wits and survival instinct, a hammer was made. can be used for repair and combat]
"hell yeah!" her voice would suddenly surprise the two because they couldn't see the popup and because they did not expect it to be so deep. 'is she actually a woman?' Blacksmith would get up, holding the hammer in the air. She had gotten info from a friend that she would have to fight so she had to do this first, and was told after an hour of getting the door open, the players would begin respawning.
She would point at the two other people in the room. "You two seem useful, so follow me! I have a hammer!"
"My muscles are ready, and it's always good to have an ally when starting out, my name's Gunter."
"And I'm Blacksmith, but you can call me whatever."
The blue haired boy seemed nervous to say his name, but then he fessed up. "IwillShrekU62…."
Blacksmith and Gunter couldn't help but laugh, but they were running out of time, but only Blacksmith knew. all three would run out the door, the blue haired boy had an embarrassed look on his face.
After about 20 minutes of running and passing by about 10 people who couldn't run for that long, they reached an opening which when entering, a door quickly shut them in. the room would quickly give off a sense of rotation and Blacksmith would fall over, being too tall for how far from the center she was.
finally the spinning would end and the now dizzy trio would finally regain their senses, slightly. After getting up, a dark blue light would appear in the middle of the room, which would slowly grow and become a massive ant, above it was the text [Blue Battle Ant Level 1] and it would look towards the three.
Blacksmith had a terrified look on her face, despite her strong as hell structure, she still was scared of bugs. Now that there was a huge one in front of her, she froze up.
Gunter would prepare himself to fight, though he wasn't too much of a fighter irl, he thought that the system would help with this but maybe not. He would look at Blacksmith realizing that she was frozen, the blue haired boy tried to shake her back into her senses. "I'll take up the tank since i feel i could take him head on, try and get her back in mind!"
Gunter had already been familiar with mmo tactics as he played them on his computer as well. He ran at the massive ant as it ran towards them, grabbing the pincers since the ant would be left with no attack without them.
The blue haired boy would finally help Blacksmith regain her senses. Having realized Gunter was acting as the tank and she was the only one who had a weapon. The blue haired boy felt bad since he didn't know how to help, so he chose to instead attempt to focus on making mana, since he heard from a friend that everything was done manually and the system only said what things were.
Blacksmith would run and jump up onto the ant's back, which would grab it's attention, which it would then shake violently, throwing her off along with gunter, both of them, losing plenty of HP, though they can't see their HP yet, but they could tell they lost some.
Gunter would get up and take his shirt off, letting himself feel loose, he also had the need to flex his ultra-manly super muscles. 'During a fight? really?' Blacksmith went to one of the thinner stalagmites and would break it off its foundation using her hammer, planning to use it as a makeshift chisel. "Now that you have your shirt off, try and restrain it so I can stab its joints!"
After flexing for a brief moment, Gunter would wind up his shirt and run at the ant a second time, this time jumping over it and wrapping the wound up shirt around its neck, holding onto it as if it were reigns on a horse.
Meanwhile in the back away from the fight, the blue haired boy was able to conjure mana, but just barely enough to lift up rocks and stones, no real spells. Still, he wanted to make himself useful to the others so he would find two broken sharper rocks and send them flying at the ant's legs to hopefully disable it. One rock hit it's eye and the other hit a leg right on the joint.
"WOOHOO!"
Realizing this window of opportunity while the ant could barely see and was stumbling about with the biggest man they knew on it's back, she took the chance to secure their victory by stomping on its other front leg. She would position the thin stalagmite at its neck, beating it in with the hammer as hard as she possibly could, causing the head to grossly tumble off and the ant fall dead.
The blue haired boy would be throwing up in a corner since that was only slightly gross. unlike how they were used to, there was actual blood and gore in this game, and carcasses could be harvested by hand…. 'No wonder the game is rated 16+....' which is what they all thought. Blacksmith would go up to the blue haired boy, making sure he was alright.
"good job there pal, i'm surprised you learned magic, how'd you do that?"
"i-its nothing, i figured it out from a friend, it's like taking in air through your whole body and becoming lighter. like pulling in some sort of energy."
Gunter would come up to the two, holding both of the mandibles in his hands like daggers.
"these things are really tough, maybe when we get out we can sell the stuff?"
Blacksmith would nod, knowing that the exoskeleton of the massive ant was tough, and large enough to make armor as well. she would go up to the and and would begin chiseling out the chitin that made up the body of this behemoth of an ant, gunter would soon come in to help.
While making armor using their cloth shirts and large chunks of exoskeleton, Blacksmith would pluck out one of the ant's antennae, a popup appearing in front of her
[Blue Battle Ant antenna]
[this ant's antennae is able to draw in mana to detect intruders and prey, despite being able to project manna, it can only use these skills]
After learning that the ant's antennae had the ability to control mana and absorb it, Blacksmith plucked the other one out and began twisting the two together, then tying it together with a cloth strip, making a magic staff!
[Blue Battle Ant Staff]
uncommon
atk- 5
mana capacity- 15
durability- 10/11
[Through hard work, an ant's antennae had been turned into a staff by an unknown novice craftsman. Though gross, if used properly, it can be a great starting weapon. it's also quite flexible, so despite its low durability, it can take a hit or two without taking damage.]
"Hell yeah! blue haired kid! come here!"
The blue haired bly was a bit annoyed when she called him a kid, but then he realized his dumb username was his fault, so then he just got embarrassed.
"You must call me Blue, since that's all I can think of. Also, what did you find?"
Blacksmith handed Blue the Ant staff she made, and his eyes lit up. 'WOOO! MAGE TIME LETS GOOOO!' He jumped in the air with excitement despite holding a slightly gross weapon, then again it was all gross. The ant smelled gross too.
Blacksmith would then continue to make armor and tools for the crew with what they had, eventually having to take off all their shirts, luckily the game gave Blacksmith undergarments otherwise she wouldn't be able to make this armor.
After an hour of working together on making armor and tools for the trio, they finally finished, somehow the items got personalized.

Blacksmith got a few unexpected pop ups after making the gear, {you have made the first ever epic armor, would you like to give your name to the public?} she would click yes since she had no reason not to. You can't normally see usernames so she had no reason to worry.
"Holy shit…. I'm the first person to make an epic armor… in the tutorial stage? how's that possible?"
Gunter and Blue would shrug, they were happy to even get some gear.
After about ten minutes after the gear was finished, another door would open, a holographic sign appeared above it.
{Welcome to the main tutorial tower}
