"Grandfather, come in," Neveah envites Jhon to enter, "but what are you doing here at this time? You should be at home resting," she adds.
"I left a passenger nearby and I decided to come see you for a bit, are you sick? Why didn't you go to work today?" Jhon asks looking concerned.
"Ah, it happens that—" Nev hesitates for a moment wondering whether or not she should tell her grandfather about the child, "well, I wasn't feeling very well so I asked for a few days off. After all I used to work on my days off so I think I should take a break for a few days," says Nev concluding that it is better for his grandfather not to know anything.
"Are you sure it's just that?" Jhon questions Nev.
"Yes, don't worry, okay?" Neveah affirms smiling.
"Okay, but if something happens let me know," Jhon says looking tenderly at her granddaughter, "Don't suffer for yourself and call me when something happens" he takes Nev's hands.
"Sure, don't worry and please don't go out with the taxi at this time of night, it's dangerous!" Nev express worried.
"I won't be driving so late anymore, but I don't think I can stop taking the cab out," John looks down, "that's the only way I keep myself busy, especially now that she's gone." Jhon sighs sadly.
Neveah looks at him for a few moments and then embraces him warmly saying: "You win, I won't say anything about the taxi anymore, but you have to be very careful and only drive while the sun is shining, deal?" proposes Nev.
"Deal!" agrees Jhon. They both say goodbye and Jhon leaves.

For the first time, Nev slept for eight hours. She gets up and goes to the room to see if the boy had woken up too, but as soon as she enters, she startles and before she could scream, the mysterious man standing in front of the child's bed, covered her mouth. "If you scream, the child will wake up scared," says the man smiling.
"Don't come near me," says Nev, pushing the man away, "what are you doing here, eh ?!" Nev asks in a low voice.
"We should talk about it out of here," says the young man and leaves the room. Nev follows him. Already in the room:
"I only came to see the condition of the child," replays the man.
"I don't know who you are or where you come from, but you should know that everyone who wants to enter my house must knock first," Nev explains angrily.
The man disappears again, Nev no longer looks surprised, she is really mad. "Ha, this stupid man! how dare he disappear when I'm talking to him" says Nev annoyed, "He even enters without permission and leaves as if nothing had happened, wh—", Nev stops because she hears someone knocking the door. She looks through the peephole and sees the man outside. She decides not to open it and when she is about to leave the door, the man says:
"You said I should knock so you should open up."
Nev ignores him and decides to go see the child. However:
"I will answer your questions so let me pass, otherwise, I will enter anyway," the man adds aloud.
Nev opens the door and the man enters smiling. "What are you and where do you come from? Why do you keep appearing and disappearing? What relationship do you have with the child?" Nev asks quickly, "That's all, answer," Nev ends.
"I'm Jayeon, I come from a forgotten place and I am only returning a favor to Lan, that's why I keep appearing and disappearing" Jayeon answers fleetingly.
"Is that his name?" Neveah questions the guy.
"That's right, the child's name is Lan", Jayeon confirms, "Well, since the boy is fine and those are all the questions I'll keep going," he disappears again.
"Does he think he is so smart? Those are not even answers," Neveah is irritated.
At that moment, the little boy speaks from the room, Nev rushes to see what happens.
"Did you wake up? Did you sleep well? How do you feel?" Nev asks worried sitting on the bed next to the boy. "I feel much better, thank you," replys the little boy with a smile.
Neveah looks at him feeling relieved because she sees that the boy is recovering quickly, so she goes to the kitchen and prepares a large breakfast for him. "Eat so that you heal faster and be healthier," says Nev handing him a glass of milk from the tray she's having on his lap. The child eats breakfast, but slower now. When finished, he tries to get out of bed.
"What are you doing? Are you sure you can get up now, better stay in bed until you fully recover," Nev tries to stop the child from getting up.
"I thought I should go now," says the boy.
"Where do you want to go? Do you have parents or guardians? Do you want me to take you with them?" Nev asked, thinking that the child might have a family or where to go.
"I don't have anyone, or at least that's what I remember" the little boy is about to cry.
Nev feels guilty and apologizes by hugging the boy. She tells him that it is not necessary for him to leave because now, she will take care of him and will remain by his side if he wants it. The child accepts.
Nev asks him for his name, but the boy has no memory of his past, at least he does not remember anything but his life as a prisoner, something that he wishes to forget. He doesn't tell Nev about it either, and she doesn't dare ask him more.
"How about Lan?" Neveah pronounces.
"What?", The boy is confused.
"Would you like to call yourself Lan?" Nev asks again.
When he hears that name again, the boy begins to feel dizzy and in his mind appears a woman calling him Lan. Neveah worries and tries to help the boy, but he seems to feel a headache as he hears Lan in her mind.
The child is about to faint when Jayeon suddenly appears and manages to reassure him by touching his head.
The child looks at him...
"You" says the child who seems to recognize Jayeon.
