With one look in Jade's clear eyes, he could tell what type of woman she was. Brave enough to ignore him but foolish enough to get into his eyes just to save the old hag.
Jade's head lifted with a snap at his words. The man was smiling at her. Then she looked at the woman at the side and saw her and her son trembling in fear.
"Jida…my name is Jida," she replied to the man.
"Good," Ragnot then jumped off the horse with one swift motion and walked towards the girl. His long whip was still in his hand.
As he came closer instinctively all the people around Jade made as much distance as possible.
Jade looked around and noticed the fear in people's eyes.
"I have never seen you around," Ragnot walked over and stood barely a step away from Jade.
"I'm new here," She replied, looking straight but not meeting his eyes.
"Ohh, where did you come from then?" Ragnot started to walk around Jade in circles.
