In the middle of the conversation his eyes fell on the plate on the bed and he changed the topic. He apologised in a very gentlemanly manner.
But Jade couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Just talk about what is important," Jade said in irritation.
"I know my way of seeing the audience with you is not so appropriate but please don't hold any prejudices against me, Lady Jade. I was just curious and since you came here this late I thought if I came straight you wouldn't like to meet me," Joshua tried to explain.
It wasn't that she had some problems with lord Joshua. It's just that he has appeared at the wrong time and in the wrong fashion.
Jade also took a seat on the bed and looked at Joshua with a tired expression.
"I'm not in the mood to talk, if you have anything to say just say it. I want to rest," Jade said straightforwardly.
