Three days had passed since Alicia had recorded her complete memory in the Mind Projection Screen.
Ever since then, Alicia was in high spirit and coped pretty well with her new life.
Everyday she would wake up early in the morning, before sunrise and make preparation for the day.
Adjusting with the time in this world was hard at first.
Like the day in most other world, a day in the world where Alicia came from was also 24 hours long. However, a day in Neo Tetarto was 36 hours long which was 12 hours longer than the day in her previous world.
Alicia had to adjust her daily life with the additional 12 hours.
Spring equinox was the first day of spring and occurred when the sun passed the equator moving from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere. During that day, the day and night time were of the same length.
Since it was still in early spring, the time of day and night in Northern Hemisphere were the same 18 hours long. As time passed and approaching summer, the day would be longer while night would be shorter.
Hence, Alicia was currently experiencing 18 hours day time and also 18 hours night time. Compared to her previous world's 12 hours-long day and 12 hours-long night, that would be an additional 6 hours staying up and additional 6 hours sleeping.
Those additional hours would make one feel jetlagged and uncomfortable.
Thankfully, since she had been unconscious for a long time while her body was being nourished with mild magical energy, her body's internal clock had been reset. Now, only her mind set that was hindering her adjustability to this world.
Today, as usual, Alicia woke up early in the morning with high spirit, but her spirit was much higher than days before.
The reason was because today would be a special day for her baby twins.
Today would the day that her baby twins reached 7 days old.
As the tradition in her village, when a baby reached 7 days old, the family of the baby would hold a naming ceremony for the baby and grant the baby a name. During the ceremony the baby would also be introduced to the world, and the world would be introduced to the baby.
As per tradition, Alicia wanted and was ecstatic to hold the naming ceremony to her babies.
Though the word 'ceremony' might sound grand, it was actually just a simple gathering in among families and neighbours in the village. The proceeding in the ceremony was also simple.
Alicia prepared the materials for the ceremony. What she needed was some sample of food for each major taste; sweet, sour, salty, and bitter.
So, she chose the materials among the variety of ingredients available in the open kitchen and prepared them in four small platters.
After the preparation for the ceremony was completed, she proceeded to make breakfast which was also the celebratory dish for the ceremony.
She made grilled hare meat sandwiches with cucumber salsa.
By the time dish was ready, sunrise arrived and a new day started.
And by the time everything was ready, Ebraham timely showed up at the dining area.
"Sir Ebraham, regarding your intention to adopt me and my babies, I am willing to accept it" Alicia said so when she saw Ebraham had come.
In the previous few days, Alicia had learnt many things regarding this world, and what she learnt had blown her mind.
She was dumbfounded when she learnt that she, her babies and Ebraham; these four peoples were the only human in this wide world.
She was even dumbstruck when she learnt that the maid, that was always by her side and helped her watch the twins, was not human but Ebraham's creation instead.
Alicia had always confused as to why the maid had always rejected her invitation to join during meal. She had never seen the maid eat, either. So, the reason was the maid was not a living being and did not require food or drinks to sustain itself.
Then, after yesterday's learning session, Ebraham had expressed his intention to adopt Alicia and her babies as his descendants and pass them his legacy.
Ebraham was delighted when he heard Alicia's willingness to be his adopted daughter and let her babies be his adopted grandchildren.
After interaction with the young family of three, Ebraham was very fond of them, especially the twins.
Although Ebraham's title of Great Sage may sound grand that make it hard for people to approach, in reality, Ebraham was just a lonely old man without any descendant to continue his bloodline.
It was not that Ebraham was not married, he was married when he was young, right after he reached adulthood, to boot.
It was just that, his marriage did not bare any fruit.
In his early years, Ebraham married Emma, a similarly young sword genius, and also his best friend's, Elijah's sister.
Both of them; Ebraham with his responsibility within Sage Council; and Emma with her duty within the army, were very busy.
They had tried for years, then years became decades, by the time they reached middle-age, they had resigned to their fate.
Now that Ebraham had gotten a second chance in a new world, his hope was rekindled and wanted to emulate his foster father's act by adopting his own descendants.
If Emma knew that she had gained a daughter and two cute grandchildren, she would be ecstatic.
"Good. Now that we are families, don't be so formal, you can call me father." Ebraham was not accustom with rigid formalities so he preferred his family to be more relax.
Although the Raiss Family was one of noble families in the Capital of Krudian Empire; Merlin, the head of Raiss Family and all other previous heads were more humble than commoners themselves and had lived in modesty their whole life.
Used to living in that kind of environment, Ebraham's conduct did not bare resemblance of a noble at all. Although one might find some trace of nobility in his conduct, it was minimal compared to other nobles.
"Yes… father" Alicia gave a slightly rigid respond. She could not suddenly change her conduct, but she was obviously more relaxed than before.
Alicia served Ebraham a cup of tea to fulfil her filial piety and Ebraham also cordially accepted her tea. With this, Alicia was officially become his foster daughter and her babies become his foster grandchildren.
After that, Alicia explained to Ebraham about her village's tradition of naming ceremony on the 7th day after a baby was born. She also wanted him to grant the babies names, now that he was their grandfather.
Ebraham wanted to decline at first, and let Alicia named her babies herself since she was their real mother while he was only a foster grandfather, but after Alicia's ceaseless insistence, he reluctantly do the honour.
After thinking for some time, Ebraham had decided suitable names for them.
"Alexander Raiss van Ortus, may you be brave and protect your mother and sister; Alexandria Raiss van Ortus, may you be firm and protect your mother and sister" Ebraham stroked the babies scalps and prayed for their future.
Following that, Alicia introduced the babies; Alexander Raiss van Ortus and Alexandria Raiss van Ortus to everyone attending the ceremony. And by everyone, other than Ebraham, everyone else was fairy.
After that Alicia took out a folded pure white cloth from her pocket and unfolded it in front of the twins. Suddenly, after she touched a specific area on the cloth, the wavy cloth turned solid as metal sheet.
If the cloth was solidified until the edge of it, it surely be the sharpest edge ever and easily cut the hand that was holding it. Thankfully, only the central part of the cloth that became solid.
The thing in her hand was the Mind Projection Screen.
Alicia then accessed the saved files in her storage via the screen.
A few lovely faces appeared on the screen.
"Alex, Alexa, this is your father. His name is Valerio. He is a very brave man that was willing to do anything to protect his love one…"
Alicia introduced her family members to the twins. Using the function of Mind Projection Screen, she was able to show real pictures of her beloved family members.
When the fairies saw the vivid pictures and short clips of unfamiliar faces in the screen, they immediately became interested in the Mind Projection Screen. It was also a magical sight when Alicia could control the image with her finger.
It would be long until the fairies would pester Ebraham for a Mind Projection Screen of their own.
Proceeding with the next agenda, Alicia let Alexander and Alexandria experienced the taste of sweet, sour, salty and bitter by feeding them a tiny sample of the ingredients she prepared. This tradition was to symbolically introduce the world to the new-born babies.
Looking at the twins making funny faces after tasting each ingredient, Alicia was satisfied that she could save this moment in the Mind Projection Screen.
