Chapter 12 - Daoist flow.

The world behind the huge door was completely different from outside. The essence energy was thick in the atmosphere as several large pavilion were built around a large formation.

The formation was giving a golden hue as complex rune was drawn in the golden shield formed by the formation. The large complex runes were formed up of many smaller circular runes with star shaped pattern.

There were several large and small pavilion built around the golden sheild which were currently occupied by cultivators from the different sects and families. The thunderhawk flew towards a small pavilion towards a distant corner where several empty pavilions were located.

While flying towards the pavilion which was at the far end, they had to pass through all the pavilion. Sam saw many young people sitting on their respective pavilion with their seniors. Saya who was silent until now finally spoke as she excitedly named the famous younger cultivators while pointing them out.

She pointed towards a pavilion where several young people wearing expensive golden robe were sitting as she said:

"They are from the Raymond family. That person in the front is Dacre Raymond. He is quite famous among the younger generation."

"That person wearing the green robe is Stephen Kinsley, a genius from the Himalayan martial sect. He is just like the rumor says handsome and elegant".

.........

By the time they reached their pavilion, Sam had memorized the name and face of all the famous younger cultivators. They patiently waited in their pavilion waiting for the opening of the portal to enter the swordridge valley.

Meanwhile, they would occasionally be shot cold look filled with killing ntent mostly coming from the pavilion of the Clearsky and Rhino martial sect. As for the other younger generation, they chatted with each other and started forming alliance to help each other inside the swordridge valley.

On the third day, the door to enter the pavilion opened again as a youth walked inside from the outer region. The youth had a messy hair and long beard making him look like a middle aged man but one could clearly tell that he was young. He was wearing grey robes and had a scroll in his left hand. He walked slowly as he cupped his fists at the people on the pavilion.

"Everyone arrived so early. I, Daoist flow, also came to join in the fun and to understand the mystery of the swordridge valley. I hope everyone can forgive for my intrusion".

He walked slowly towards the far end in a slow and unhurried manner like he was enjoying the attention of the people. Just as he was passing by a pavilion, a cold killing intent erupted from the pavilion as it locked on him.

A middle aged who had always maintained a low profile ever since his arrival walked out from his pavilion as he looked at Daoist flow with his cold eyes.

Daoist flow chuckled awkwardly as he snatched his head. He still maintained his calm as he cupped his fist as he said:

"We meet again, fellow daoist from the sword mountain. I see you still hold some resentment towards me after losing the bet. I won the bet fair and square from your disciple and won the entry badge. I even bet my treasured scroll against him".

The middle aged man who was already angry nearly exploded due to anger after hearing about the bet again. His face became red as red vein started to pop around his face as he angrily retorded:

"That was a fair bet? You practically swindled that entry badge from us. You fought against a essence core realm while being a core formation realm cultivator and you are saying that it was a fair bet? You even said that you were a essence core realm cultivator but you revealed your core formation cultivation only during the fight. After you won the fight, you fled with the entry badge. What kind of honest person flees after winning a fair bet huh? "

The people who were watching the play from their pavilion were amused after hearing about their bet.

Daoist flow had a honest look on his face like he was wronged by the middle aged man on the verge of breaking into tears. He looked at middle aged man sincerely as he said:

"It seem that we have some misunderstanding between us, fellow daoist from the sword mountain. Let me ask you a question so that all the elders from the major sects and families could determine if the bet was fair or not".

With he looked towards the pavilion where the old man from the unity academy was staying as his eyes lit up. He cupped his fist towards the pavilion as his face was filled with respect as he said:

"Unit academy is the place I, daoist flow, respect the most. The reputation of unity academy as the most honorable institution filled with loyal, courageous and righteous people ring in my ears like thunder when I travel around the northern region. My admiration towards the unity academy flows like river. So, I hope that the senior could preside over this matter".

With that he looked back at the middle aged man as he asked:

"Does fellow daoist have any problem with this? "

The middle aged man wanted to kill this bastard but this bastard had already involved the large sect and families into this matter so he could only accept it.

"Since the seniors from the unity academy are presiding over this matter, I will accept your judgement".

Daoist flow happily smiled after hearing his reply as he said:

"Fellow daoist, the bet between your disciple and me was that we would fight against each other while betting his entry badge and mine treasure scroll while the winner of the fight takes the treasure. There was no mention about our cultivation level in the bet".

The middle aged man's face turned ugly after hearing this. Sure, they did not mention about cultivation level but it was a unspoken rule in the cultivation world that cultivator would fight other of the same cultivation level. Just as he was about to reply to his word, daoist flow continued:

"Fellow daoist, you were there when we agreed to fight without mentioning about our cultivation level. You even asked if I was at the essence core realm but I did not answer your question and I only smiled. You then said yourself to start the fight. Now, fellow daoist, tell me where was the bet unfair? You are just accusing me after losing the bet".

The people in the pavilion all rolled their eyes after hearing his word. This was clearly swindling but at a level where the one swindled would have no right to say they were swindled. He smiled giving him misconception about his cultivation without answering so that he could display his higher cultivation later during the fight.

The middle aged felt like vomiting blood due to his anger. He was clearly swindled by this bastard and yet, he was being accused of accusing him.

Daoist sun cupped his fist and bowed towards the pavilion as he respectfully said:

"Senior, I have recounted about our bet and it's condition. I won the fight fair and square and I won the entry badge according to our bet. But, I am still accused of being a swindler. This truly make me feel like there is no justice in this world. Senior, please grant me justice".

The middle aged was truly angered this time with his chest heaving up and down. People truly felt some pity for this man after seeing how shameless this daoist flow was.

"Hahahaha....". A loud laughter sounded from the pavilion as a clear voice was heard, "What a interesting little fellow. This time you enter the swordridge valley using the entry badge but you must return the entry badge back to the sword mountain after using it. Let this matter end with it".

Daoist flow hurried cupped his fist as he said, "This little one will follow senior's suggestion".

The middle aged man also cupped his fist as he said some polite words as courtesy. He was finally a little bit relieved. At least, they could get the entry badge back to use next time.

Daoist flow slowly walked towards the open pavilion at the end with some swagger. He even had a triumphant expression on his face like he won some big battle making others want to beat him up. He finally arrived and entered inside a empty pavilion next to the pavilion Sam's group were occupying. He didn't forget to cup his fist and greet them before walking inside.

Sam was dumbfounded after watching his performance. There were all sorts of people in this world.

Saya, who was sitting beside his said after noticing his expression, "This fella although looks like a swindler, he is fierce character. He is famous as poet killer in the whole northern region".

"Poet killer? Why does he have such strange nickname", Sam asked with surprise.

Gilde, who was silent till replied in a serious tone, "That's because he kills other with his strange poems. He cultivates a unique technique due to which every poem, every word he writes in his scroll becomes his weapon. Thus, his nickname poet killer".

Sam nodded as he muttered,"What an Interesting person".

The people in the pavilion patiently waited for the day the portal opens to enter the swordridge valley.

On the fifteenth day, the ground around the pavilions was shaken as all the essence energy in the air were sucked towards the large formation. A black revolving hole could be seen inside the large formation as the space was unstable around it. The eyes of people lit up as the hing they were a waiting patiently for finally happened.

'The portal to the swordridge valley was finally open'.
