Walking the streets of a kingdom I've never been to before was one of the worse things to be dealing with besides my injuries.
Every part of my body ached and made everything feel like hell but I don't plan to stop traveling until I find something out. I'm also going to find me a blacksmith to fix my armor.
I wandered the streets while dealing with the pain all throughout my body and it only took about an hour or two to find a blacksmith. It sucks since I liked the blacksmith in the other city who modified my armor.
The smith's place before me looked a lot bigger and even had multiple people working it besides the main Smith.
"Hello adventurer how can I help you today? Asked the Smith as he stood before me.
A tall burly man with long hair and a braided beard stood before my eyes.
"I need my armor repaired and was wondering how much it would cost? I responded with my own question.
"Hmm probably about 5 gold since your armor looks like it uses some expensive material to repair." Answers the Smith.
"Here take this then." I say while handing a few gold coins over to him.
"Alright now the armor and it should only take about a few hours to repair." Responds the Smith while taking the coin.
I gave him my armor after and then began to wander around the city. There's nothing better to do at the moment and I'm honestly wondering what else is here.
Wait screw it I'll read the note while I'm waiting around too. I didn't know if it would be a good idea for a bit but now I'm sure.
Pulling out the envelope I open it nicely and pull out the paper.
~Mika I know our journey has been rough and everything has been complicated to figure out but I'm glad I came along. You gave me an opportunity and took a chance even though I was a hero.
For the longest time I thought there was no true heroes since the ones I came with didn't see things the way you did. They believed King Mari word for word and it was sickening.
I also know that this is probably going to be the end for me, Azura is writing everything for me as I give you both my final thoughts.
You brought me into a real group where I made friends and even got to see and be around you. I liked you Mika, it was probably obvious but I'm not sure if it would've been wise to try.
I love you and I love the others who I grew so close to. Thank you for giving me such an amazing gift in life, don't blame yourself for my death Mika. Get stronger and keep protecting everyone from the dangers of this world.
Thank you again... Goodbye Everyone..
~ Love Asai Hiroko.
Closing the letter and adding it to my inventory I realized the tears fell before me once more. Why can't I just rid myself of these emotions?
Maybe I just can't move on so fast and this is the problem I'll suffer from. I'll avenge Hiroko though no matter what and I'm going to kill all these evil bastards.
I wiped my tears and sat back on a bench, looking into the distance of the streets I'm amazed with everything I'm seeing. Families, parties, kids.
All these things got me away from my sadness for this moment because these people I need to protect from the chaos of the world.
"There's the Mika we need." Says Mekella with a happy tone.
"Something to agree on. Yes we do need this version of you Mika." Chimes in Lazarus.
Without realizing it I dozed off a bit until suddenly I jolt awake and realized it's slowly getting darker out. Sleeping in broad daylight while waiting on my armor is definitely not the smartest idea but shit I let it happen.
I got up and began to run down the streets back to the blacksmiths building. Approaching the building I could see the Smith looking out towards me.
"Just before we close." He mumbles to himself.
"H...hey is my armor done?" I ask while catching my breath.
"Yes it is. Here you go." Answers the Smith as he hands a big bag over to me.
Inside was my armor and it looked as good as new but for now I'm leaving it off to make me seem defenseless here. I don't want someone who may know me to catch on so easily.
Right now I look like a peasant so this is perfect camo to get some things done.
"Thank you very much for your hard work." I say while tossing two more coins to him.
He catches the coin and before he could say anything I was gone. Standing around idle wasn't really my thing so back to traveling and getting things done.
I'll look for an information board so I can update my map, it'd be smart to utilize it way more like Rin suggested. This system was given to me for a reason and I need to start using everything way more.
Not only the skills but the other aspects of it as well. Leveling, Map views, inventory, etc.
There's a lot to it still but I'm curious to what else I'm capable of doing with this system. I need to find Rin at some point, he'd be the smartest person to get input from.
No one else in this world would understand the powers we were given so he's my best bet at becoming stronger with the system.
My thoughts began to wander away once more and I made my way out of the city. Shin wasn't here so there was no need to waste more time here.
Most of the things I needed weren't in the city anyway besides the blacksmith to repair my armor. That hero there won't be useful to me right now, screw wasting time on asking for help.
Not everybody is kind enough to do such things for someone like me and I don't want the same from every other hero.
I want something different that can really help me against Mari and his heroes. I'll figure it out soon enough though.
