Mika's still asleep and I don't know what to do, he's been out for a few days just like the last time this happened. He defended us but also put himself at great risk.
I managed to drag him into a small village after he passed out and it was a big pain in the ass but I care about him. He doesn't need to know too much about how I feel just yet but it's enough to know I'll protect him too.
The Village of Ninek which apparently had been around for awhile now took us in and helped me treat Mika. Though the strange thing about it all was that he recovered a lot in the small period of time after the battle.
"He'll be okay but I'm going to guess that you aren't from around here." Says a woman.
"Yeah we were on our way to Tivenfiel." I respond while sitting next to Mika's bed.
"I see, well your friend should be okay." Says the woman before leaving the room.
That's kind of relieving but yet something just feels off about everything lately, from these fights to these heroes, just all of it. I also feel like I'm not strong enough to do anything to help him in these battles.
I need to get stronger myself but I'm unsure how such a thing will be possible when I can't even use magic.
But I can't let everything drag me down, he's the one who took me in when no one else was around. He helped save me from those guys and I'll make sure I'm useful to him somehow no matter what.
Azura took it upon herself to head into a small cave outside the village. She set up dummies and began practicing with her daggers and even trying to use magic somehow.
"You really want to be strong enough to help your friends huh?" Asks a voice.
"Yeah I do. They all mean everything to me." I answer while looking around.
A mysterious voice all of a sudden appearing, this weird crap never tends to end.
"Well let me help you actually learn how magic works then." Says a voice as a figure begins to appear.
Suddenly a woman with short pink hair appears wearing some strange clothes with green eyes. She also doesn't seem to be alone, a familiar seemed to be near her but I couldn't quite tell what it was.
"Who are you?" I ask with a confused tone.
"My name is Nikki and I'm a goddess from the Heavenly city of Frost." Answers Nikki as looks at Azura.
"Nice to meet you Nikki, I appreciate any help you can provide." I say with an appreciative tone.
That's how the day went by, Nikki began to show me the basics of magic that I didn't even know about to begin with. A lot of these things had to do with the fact that I never had someone assess my magic capabilities and what I could do.
I've only used my blades and speed to my advantage every time.
The main magic I seemed to be capable of using was speed and water magic but most of that needed a lot of fine tuning to be useful. Speed could be utilized for faster attacks or dodging attacks even.
Water magic can be used for both offensive tactics and defensive tactics. It also held great opportunity to grow with the magic as I use it more and more.
"I'd say day one was successful but you should get back to your friend for the time being. I'll be around when it's time again to train." Says Nikki before waving.
"Thank you.." I respond with a kind bow.
She disappears before my eyes and I realized it was time to go back to Mika. The night was here and I'm not sure who could go into that village but I knew he was in good hands.
The healer there seemed to care a lot about keeping people alive. She reminded me a lot of lady Aisel but instead she cared for the common folk over the nobles.
Most top of the line healers were only for the nobles and it's brutal that they even did that to the poor people of the kingdoms.
Moving past those thoughts Azura made haste back to the village where Mika resided in the medical building. It took a few minutes but she made it there with no problems and when she got there she was greeted with a surprise.
I opened the door and to my surprise Hiroko and Ella were here now.
"I'm glad you're okay Azura, we came as fast as possible when we got your message." Says Hiroko as she sits near Mika.
"Yeah it's good you're both alive and well." Chimes in Ella as she looks over at Azura.
"Thank you for your concern. I'm happy you're both here. We had an encounter with Sorakami ans he was a lot stronger then last time." I say while taking a seat in the room.
"I figured as much. He won't stop hunting till he's killed or till Mika is dead." Responds Hiroko with an annoyed tone.
"You never really Sorakami huh?" I question while looking over towards Hiroko.
"No, ever since we were summoned he was just playing the role of someone he isn't. Someone who feels the need to be the judge, jury, and executioner." Answers Hiroko with an angry tone.
Sorakami did carry himself that way but with the power he has I'm not surprised. Anyone with power like that would be thinking the same way as him.
He makes me sick but that's with most heroes after meeting Mika that day. He showed us all that these heroes and the king Mari are just corrupt assholes who only do things for themselves.
"I can tell just from the times I've seen him. I'm hoping he gets what he deserves one day." I say with an angry tone.
(Mika's View.) Just waking up.
Finally I could see again, the surroundings were no longer just pure darkness. I'm in some sort of building and all my companions seem to be here with me.
"What's the special occasion?" I ask while barely sitting up.
"Oh my God you're actually okay!" They all shout before hugging me.
I really keep scaring them with this powers after effects but it's the best way to beat a lot of these heroes. Sorakami no doubt will require this power to achieve victory.
I'm going to become strong enough to withstand the damage no matter what, even if it means utilizing the system I was brought into this world with.
"Of course, I'm sorry for scaring you guys." I say while hugging them all back.
I'm determined to do what I must to kill the remaining corrupted heroes and the King Mari himself. After him or before, doesn't matter, I'll kill Calziel for Lazarus too.
My path is here and will not change from where I'm heading any time soon or in the near future.
"I respect you kid. We got a lot to do if you really mean what you say about being able to withstand my power." Says Lazarus.
"Yes I'm serious. I'm ready at any time." I respond with a serious tone.
The rest of the night went by without a problem and everyone slept. The following morning came and it was time to get back on the road with whatever strength Mika had.
"I'm alright, my armor is on good and I feel good." I say while attaching my sword back to my back.
"That's good to hear, please be careful this time guys." Says Hiroko while grabbing Ella.
"Yes be careful." Responds Ella before they both disappear with a flash.
"You ready to get going Azura?" I ask while looking at her.
"I'm always ready." Answers Azura as we both head out the door.
