Her cheeks looked like cherry, the way they flushed. "You're blushing Stella." Brandon gave a little smile looking at her cheeks.
"No, I.." she couldn't finish the sentence as she was sure that she was blushing. Brandon was looking like such a polite gentleman.
He wore a white T-shirt and a sky blue colored shirt. "You look like an angel." she wanted to say but she didn't.
"Where are you off to?" he asked entering his hands in the pockets of the dark blue jeans.
"Nowhere just...just cycling." she said.
"Would you mind taking a walk with me?" he asked with expectations in his eyes.
Stella didn't wanted to see his eyes pale also it won't be a bad thing if she just takes a walk with him and makes him happy so...
"Stella?" Brandon moved his hands in front of her eyes. "Where did you got lost?" he asked.
Stella was thinking too much.
"Not at all! Let's go." she said smiling.
"Really?" Brandon couldn't believe. "You said yes, really? I hope I ain't dreaming."
"No, you're not. Now where should we go?" Stella asked.
"Your wish is mine." he said keeping his hands on his chest where his heart beats.
"Let's go to the sea shore, walking then we can take a break there and come back walking to this spot by evening." she said.
"That's just perfect Stella. Let's go then." he started walking already.
Stella got off the cycle and went by his left side walking.
"I wonder from which side the sun rose today...you are talking so nicely with me and also you said yes to what I proposed. Did the sun rose from west side?" Brandon grinned at her.
"Haha so funny. I wonder the same. Did it rise from the west that you're not behaving like a gangster today? No guard, no suit, no car just like an ordinary cute boy?" she said and smiled.
"Thanks." he said.
"For what?" Stella asked.
"Compliment." he said. "And for walking with me."
"That's no big deal." Stella said.
"The weather is so beautiful, isn't it?" Brandon asked. "Yeah, it's really beautiful." Stella agreed.
Suddenly Stella had a flashback to a beautiful day. When she had fun with Zach. That day the weather was a little cold which was eventually perfect. They had a pillow fight, they laughed a lot and cuddled for hours. Brandon suddenly pulled Stella closer to him.
"What are you thinking about!?" he yelled a little.
"Ouch, why did you do that?" Stella said holding her hand with another.
"You were going in the middle of the road and a school bus was coming. Couldn't you see?" Brandon asked with confusion.
"No, I..was... I'm sorry." Stella said.
Brandon scoffed. "Yeah right...be careful ple..hold on. You're bleeding, shit! I shouldn't have pulled you that hard." He went closer to see the wound.
"There's a medical store there." he pointed.
"Come with me." he said.
"It's not necessary, I'll be fine." Stella refused to use any medical help.
"Okay, just stay here." he went almost running, bought a bandage and coke, came back almost running as well. "Let me bandage it, you hold this." he handed the 1 litre coke.
"Remove the bandage tomorrow, hope it would heal soon, I'm sorry for the wound." he looked guilty.
"Ah, it's fine. I'm used to these cuts." she said.
"What do you mean?" Brandon asked.
Now Stella didn't know how to tell him about how she cuts her body parts whenever she's angry so she just told him a lie.
"I..I get wounds like these most of the time by different types of accidents you know. Small accidents happen to me all the time." this was true, she thought.
"Well, be careful then. Here drink this." he gave her the bottle.
"I don't drink Coke or Pepsi. Thanks." she said and ran to the beach with her cycle.
Brandon smiled at her childish behavior and ran after her. "Wait for me!" He said as she started to run faster. They finally stopped.
"Whoa, girl you are fast." he drank a gulp of coke then pointed it to Stella, "Please drink a little at least."
"Nope." she said.
"I know you're tired, come on drink it. I literally bought it for you but should have asked what you liked." He patted his forehead with the bottle.
"I insist, you won't die if you have a gulp of coke...or two. Here!" Brandon handed her the bottle.
"Okay, true." Saying that she took just a gulp.
"Have more." he said.
She drank one more gulp, "Done."
Instantly she handed him the bottle. Brandon drank a little, "So... what do you like to drink?"
"I mostly drink Mountain Dew or Sprite. What about you?" she asked.
"Mostly this but also Sprite." Brandon said while walking forward looking at her.
"Coke and Pepsi aren't good enough. I heard they mix some ingredients in the black soft drinks that aren't good for health. So don't drink it too much." she said moving her head the other way as she was blushing again looking at him for so long.
"And since when do you care about my health, Hermosa?" he asked jokingly.
"Mm-mm, I don't. Just warning huh." she said looking at the sky trying to hide the smile that he's causing.
Brandon noticed, "Don't do that. Smile, laugh all you want. We're friends, right? Also you look more beautiful when you smile, Hermosa." He bend a little to her height and smiled in front of her.
[Oh, good lord! Someone tell him his smile is gorgeous!] her mind almost screamed.
"Yeahh...what.everr." she said it while laughing.
"Let's sit here for a while, shall we?" Brandon sat without any hesitation. And patted on the sand beside him as a sign to tell her to 'sit here'.
Stella was a little shy. So she sat a little far from here he patted.
"Yeah, so tell me how's your life been as a gangster?" she asked looking at him.
Brandon sat closer and Stella literally became like a stone for a while.
"Fun and dangerous. Or should I mention dangerous first?" he asked her.
She couldn't say anything at first. "You should know it better." she finally spoke.
"Yeah right, forget about me. Tell me how's life being a student? I forgot how it was." Brandon said.
"Forgot what?" she asked.
"Being a student." he replied in short.
"Wait. How old are you?" Stella asked.
"How old do you think I am?" he asked back.
"You're young, I think. Under 20 maybe." she said. "Tell me." she punched his shoulders jokingly. "Oops." instantly regretted.
"It's okay. We're friends now, don't forget that. And soon I'll show you how old I am." Brandon said looking at the sky.
"No, tell me now." she said.
"Wait for some days. Now let's enjoy the sunset." he said.
"Okay." she smiled and said.
