Neil's head fell on Lia's shoulder like he was leaning or maybe he was banging his head. Depressed, he roared in tears. "Why don't you ever see me just once?" he raved.
Lia was stunned, unconsciously her eyes filled with tears. Her hands clenched. She wouldn't yield even if Neil was like this to her.
"I've done everything. I've tried to make you happy." Neil was sobbing. "Did I ever do something wrong to you that you buried your feelings for me? You used to love me too, right?"
Lia looked down. That's true, but not anymore.
"What makes your heart different from before?" asked Neil again. He was filled with the smell of alcohol. "Is it because Aerus approached you before me? Was it my fault…" Swallowed. "My mistake was that I realized too late that I liked you too?"
