"Actually what are you looking for at Rany's house? Don't you know what danger you are about to face?" Neil grumbled while driving the car. His eyes darted from one direction to another. It felt like a dream, a nightmare.
Lia didn't answer for a long time. She didn't need to be scolded or counseled. It was enough for her to be able to go home safely.
The pain in her chest was still stinging. She winced as she held it. She glanced occasionally, making sure that Neil wouldn't notice it.
"Didn't you see that horrible man earlier?" mumbled Neil again. "He pushed you hard. He's the only person who was so terrible back then when everyone was adoring you. Don't you think that maybe he took a knife and stabbed you in the chest?"
Precisely! That was how it felt.
