Lia seemed to be choking after getting the deadliest punch in her stomach. She felt nauseous. "You?" She frowned in disbelief. "Marry?" Her mouth was half-open. "How old are you? You look very young and fit. So if you don't get married now that's fine too."
Neil would be happy if he got that response from someone else. But unfortunately, the one who was currently responding was Lia. The man wanted Lia to be involved in this topic. He wanted Lia to look surprised and wanted to stop Neil's mother's wish.
Neil hoped Lia was worried because Neil would soon have to marry another girl. Shouldn't that be it? That's how it should be.
"Is that so?" Neil's eyes stared down at Lia's soft and curvy fingers. He wanted to hold her finger, then slipped a ring on her ring finger. "Do you think I shouldn't get married now?"
