The movement of the top of the building looked unstable, even though the slope of the road was not too steep. Lia was still thinking about Granny White's words, even though they had left the city.
Realizing this, Neil patted the girl's shoulder lightly, amidst the red light. The man had time to comb the situation, make sure no drivers violated traffic and ensure they would not be involved in an accident.
"What is it?" Neil asked, making Cindy realize something was wrong with her best friend. The man wanted to straighten Lia's hair, and wanted to count the scattered strands. "What are you thinking about?"
Cindy jumped in, standing in the middle of the two chairs in front of the car area. "Why? Are you all right, honey?" Het fingertips touched Lia's cheek and rose to her forehead. "You don't have a fever. Is your stomach queasy? Are you drunk?"
"No," said Lia, squinting at the hot street. "I am alright. I'm just wondering when we'll get to our destination."
