"Neil likes you a lot, I can see that." Cindy nudged Lia's shoulder while they were preparing another drink. The drinks that had been served had run out.
"You remember I have Aerus right?" Lia snorted, too focused on her activity to make drinks. She tasted the taste, again and again, making sure it was perfect.
"I know," Cindy said quickly. "That's why you better just tell Neil that he won't stand a chance. You can tell him that you and Aerus are committed to marriage."
Now Lia paused for a moment, and then glanced at Neil briefly. The man was still in the living room, joking with all the employees at his cafe who had visited that evening. "I already told him that my relationship with Aerus is not a short-term relationship. Aerus and I have plans to get married."
"Then what is Neil's response?"
Lia shrugged. "He just said congrats to me. Maybe he doesn't believe me. I've offered him a few blind dates but he doesn't look interested in it."
