"Lia, wake up! Did you have a bad dream? Lia!" Cindy almost fell over in shock when she finally saw her best friend open her eyes. "Damn it!" She cursed, her face dripping with sweat, as well as her pale skin.
Panting, Lia pulled more air into her lungs, as if the empty spaces that should be filled with air had been blocked by something.
Her hands trembled as she accepted the glass of water offered by Cindy.
"You had a bad dream huh? Why did you scream in pain in your sleep earlier? You scare me," Cindy chirped, gently picking up the glass from Lia's hand. The corner of her eye glanced at Wyn and Rany who luckily didn't wake up and made a fuss. "Good thing they didn't wake up."
A second later there was a knock on the door, or maybe a slight knock on it. Cindy confirmed Lia's condition one more time until she got up to open the door. There was Neil outside the door, his face confused: sleepy, worried, and frustrated.
