Forget for a moment about Rany who was like being possessed. Now Lia was busy with her routine as a cashier. Neil had already got the employee he wanted, so Rany had officially become Lia's backup.
The two of them worked together, like two sisters who got along very well. The long snaking queue did not dampen their enthusiasm to keep working hard wholeheartedly. A smile, a welcome, a friendly greeting.
Fatigue was certainly there, but maybe that could be negotiated later.
At eleven o'clock in the afternoon, Lia asked Rany for permission to go to the toilet. "Can you handle everything on your own?"
Rany nodded confidently. "Take it easy. Hurry up and come back here again." Then she was immersed in busyness after Lia went to the bathroom.
Passing several rooms including the kitchen, Lia had managed to reach the bathroom. It didn't take her long to sort things out. Shortly after that she immediately went out and washed her hands.
