"I always like a challenge, " Seth replied. " You should know that about me now, Uncle." He finished and moved to kiss Ruby on the cheek. Immediately after, Seth ordered some soldiers to accompany her into the palace -- her palace -- Seth thought with a smile. Then, he walked closer to examine the body that was lying on the ground now.
Seth felt uncomfortable as he rolled his shoulders. He felt uncomfortable because he'd never heard about this sect before. To think that they were unto Ruby, to think that they'd been waiting for the most vulnerable time to attack her, made him pissed that his fists balled. They had snuck into his army right under his nose. Seth didn't blame anyone but himself and he beat himself up mentally for that.
Mabon was standing behind Seth with his eyes almost tearing up, they glistened in the sunlight. Seth had called him uncle in such a natural manner -- it had flowed out of him as if Mabon had always been present in his life.
