"That old gizzard found his way to you?" Braith asked. There was humor in her voice.
And it confused Seth. Still, he said, "so you really have a brother? For a second there, I thought he may have been lying or must have gotten something mixed up... you know what she can do to people especially one that had fought battles."
"You have a mean streak," Braith said.
"I can imagine who I must have gotten that from."
"Have I been mean to you? Have you noticed any-"
"No one called your name though... I could have been talking about my father," Seth replied.
He had a smirk on his face while his eyes remained closed as he focused more on the delightful conversation he was having with his mother.
As Seth enjoyed the banter, he could feel an irritation rising from the back of his mind.
