The sergeant and the soldier got to the site of the deaths where the bodies had been hung. Both of them got down from their horses and walked briskly to the tree that carried all three bodies.
"Who could have done such a thing?" the sergeant asked.
However, there was no response from the soldier because he thought that must have been a rhetorical question because even if he tried, he couldn't come up with an answer for his superior.
"Bring them down."
"Sir?"
The sergeants turned around and shot the soldier a warning look. It was as if he was about to kill the soldier with his bare hands.
"I said bring them down," he shouted at the top of his lungs making the soldier move from the spot he had been standing on instantly.
Quickly, but with disgust on his face and his breath being held with all his might, the soldier cut the bodies down and they all fell with thuds t the ground.
