"What sort of foolishness plagues you?" Lily Malum finally asked the leader of the team that had been sent to her.
"Pardon?" the soldier responded, totally shocked by the question that Lily Malum had asked him. He had been sent to deliver an important message to her directly from the king and she had asked him an unexpected question.
The soldier didn't wait for her to reply to his question as he continued with the task that he had been burdened with. "Are you coming with us now, madam? the king awaits you within the palace walls," he said in a hurry. The men around him were busy fending off the Red soldiers that were coming for them.
The shield that she had cast around her came down and she shook her head as she attempted to take a step forward, her mind focused on meeting with the prince. "Get out of my sight!" Lily ordered.
